There's a very good ageing kit called "Age Yourself" by @Izzie Button at Izzies. (<LM)

It works with a regular mesh Bento avatar and buying a specialist "older avatar" is not necessary.

Age Yourself is available for LeLutka, Catwa and Genus  Bento heads.  Izzie also sells other accessories for other body areas. Demos are free to try.

Izzie's attention to detail is superb.  Highly recommended.

First question to ask nowadays is ... for what kind of head: EVO X enabled or SL UV enabled ones.

I have never been a fan of Poema's older skins. I am a that age range too, and most women I know in that age range don't look so stern and dour. There are folks that age better than others, of course. One lady that I knew that smoked and drank a lot and was outside a lot without sunscreen looked a lot older than most women her age.

As I'm in the 50-60 age range, I prefer mature or aged to perfection instead of elderly.  😁

I have thought of this for myself, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt I would have trouble finding casual clothes for this age frame :(  Most of the stuff out there would be too much of a younger style

Mostly, I dress somewhat conservatively for SL.  There will always be issues with finding skirts and dresses at knee length that don't break when you sit, dance or walk.  Shirts are always a bit on the shorter side too but I don't mind since it makes it easier to pair with bottoms from a different store.  So yes, my belly is often showing or the skirt is shorter than I'd wear in RL but all my bits and things are covered.

My issue is that the add ons for mature skins don't blend in as well on darker shades.  They're just too matte, also.

OH I don't think Alice looks good at all. That may just be me but I can't imagine that it would be received very well in the general pubic. Maybe for RPing certain situations but I mean Jennifer Aniston is 54 and she doesn't look old like this. There are many beautiful women that are in the 50-60 aga range that don't look like this. If I wanted reality I'd look in the mirror, lol. To me this looks more elderly grandma than mature.

I'm with you on this!!  Too extreme.  I'm 67 in RL, and my face (lthough it has wrinkles) looks nothing like this amount, and I'm a smoker also.  LOL, and my body looks NOTHING like that either, maybe a little droop in the B**bs :P

That looks 80 ish . Also isn’t it odd that much slack on the body yet look how young and firm the neck is. I think that is one area a woman approaching “elderly” looses elasticity first.. aside from breasts which hers appears buoyant.. not even going to mention what’s going on in her cheeks…

Sorry I had my head in RP mode.

I think I've had the best results taking obviously adult skin (like 30's up) and adding some of the Izzie's BOM layers.  Also, adjusting the following:

  • eyes: smaller, open less wide, a little closer together, a little puffier, a bit of eye bags
  • mouth: less plump and full, less wide, play with the other settings
  • chin: adjust jowls, jaw shape and chin-neck (double chin
  • brows: lower

Also body changes like the breasts being less perky (gravity), a bit of a belly and love handles, etc.

Right now I'd say she's mid to late 40's with this look. If I used the deeper (greater opacity) wrinkles and more faded hair, she'd be looking fin the 50's to 60's. And this is Raven, hardly one of the most mature-looking Lelutka heads.
