Maryanne Solo
Ima Rang wrote: In the four + years I have been in SL, Hippiestock I was the most fun event I have attended virtually. It brought about those nostalgic feelings of community that seemed more present in the early days of SL. What would be a huge **bleep**, both to Hippiestock as well as this informative thread, is if this petty, immature, passive-aggressive infighting, was to deter individuals from participating in what will no doubt be an awesome day of entertainment and community. Despite the continued attempts and stated intentions of some, that will not happen. I haven't been telling everyone about it for almost a year for nothing. The efforts of the original contributors stand for evermore and cannot be detracted from. The moderators have proven to be quite adept at minimising the continued attacks on the spirit of this awesome event.

Lia Abbot
Hi Eloise! How nice to see such a friendly face again. Let's all think the best of Venus. She gets cross sometimes, but her heart is good. Your sig is one of my fave jokes. Except I say 'Why can't they share the hedge?'.

Dillon Levenque
I keep meaning to do this. A friend is a DJ and she does 'garage band' sets now and then. When she does I know I can expect to get at least one song from a Japanese group from the Sixties: the Mops (I had never heard of them before she played one of their songs). They were a bunch of high school kids. A relative who visited the States brought back some records—Jefferson Airplane, Animals, Beatles, etc. I really like them because not only were they good, but they did what they did in circumstances that worked against them. Remember this was way before the Internet or satellite TV. And they lived in a country with a very strong cultural identity. They really were non-conformists. I won't take exception if it gets used, but my second choice for a sig here is: I don't care of them. I am just a mops.
