It used to be that you could guess RL age by um, "endowment" with females. These days, children mature faster (whether hormones in the water, evolution, genetics, etc.). Plus, people of Asian heritage tend to look younger than others especially in the face.

So: having thought about it, and taking the above into consideration, I don't think the OP's pic looks "underage". However, this is also impacted by the clothing one chooses.  A "normal dress", or "blouse and skirt", vs. "babydoll dress" or "schoolgirl outfit" would all give different impressions.

If you have 18+ in your profile, I assume you are presenting as an 18+ avatar

Usually on profiles of women who don't look anywhere near 18 but that's always been my observation.

I grabbed the demo and decided to mess with it a little bit tonight..

This is what I came up with just using my shape and a little tweaking..

If we could somehow get rid of the turtle beak on the lips some I would probably be able to do something with it..

They just remind me too much of a bird beak or turtle lip.. it just seems really exaggerated more than natural, which really limits what i would do with it compared to if there were more freedom there.

One young lady came over to our table, leaned over showing an amazing cleavage and asked if there was anything I needed. I said no thank you, we are all set and she strutted away. My daughter informed me she was a 15 year old sophomore that was in the culinary arts class.. I honestly thought she was a teacher. Facially she looked 28ish.

Yikes! Why use such a description?... 😬

Because it was? If she was an actual teacher you would have no issue with the description. The point i was making is she was dressed provocatively and looked nothing like a teenage student.

I'm  not sure what you are confused about. Girls have been dressing far above their actual years forever. Its just that now they are allowed out in public that way by their parents.

But we are speaking of SL where in any sim above PG you shouldn't find anyone who isn't under 18 in RL. What they portray their age as in SL is entirely up to them. If they say they are over 18, then that should be enough for anyone.

As someone who has changed their display name to profanity and has a bratz doll with more profanity as a profile pic..... One has to wonder what your shock, affronted attitude and confusion is about.

The ratings for regions are General, Moderate, and Adult. There is no PG rating.

Child avatars are allowed in Moderate and Adult regions according to the TOS. Child avatars would be allowed in nudist sims according to the TOS. What is not allowed according to the TOS is underage users or child avatars engaging in virtual sex acts. By extension and to be on the safe side, sim owners generally do not allow child avatars in areas where there is sexual activity or public furniture with sex animations. They are allowed in roleplay sims which are rated Adult, as long as they are not in areas with sexual activity.

I think you meant to say, "In any sim Moderate or above, there should not be anyone who is under 18 in RL"?  Which is true.

Um, no.  This is where SL veers off from RL.  In RL,.there is no law against having relations with a women 18 or over who looks younger.   You can say your avatar in SL is 350 years old but if it does not LOOK 18 or over, no adult activity allowed.

I seriously get tired of people using that excuse.  "But my profile clearly says I'm18+".  That's nice but she LOOKS 12 so no, your profile blurb means nothing.

The ToS states...Participation by Residents in lewd or sexual acts in which one or more of the avatars appears to represent minors.  It has no caveat regarding what the avatar claims as age in the profile.  One factor in determining that is...whether an avatar has childlike facial features.

I get it.  Some women look very young in RL yet are well over 18.  That means absolutely nothing when discussing SL and adult activities.  As I already mentioned, the profile stating they are over 18 is almost exclusively in profile of avatars looking anything but.

I mean, obviously if they look like a toddler or preteen then thats just wrong. The op looks young, but under 18? That is completely subjective. Slap some elf ears on her and no one would bat an eye. The whole "appears to represent minors" is just LL covering their legal butts.

Where does the ToS say anything about that? That info is in the https://www.lindenlab.com/legal/second-life-terms-and-conditions . There is nothing about facial features in that, the   https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Clarification_of_policy_disallowing_ageplay Breaks it down further, yet still no mention of facial features.

If you put that head on a kupra body, who would think she is a child?

Do you honestly think the OP looks 12?

It does indeed say 'facial features', when making the determination.  From your wiki link near the bottom...

In some cases there may be an element of subjectivity as to whether an avatar (or other image) appears to be a minor. Objective factors which will be used to decide, including whether an avatar has childlike facial features, is child-sized, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child ("My Mommy says...").

Note: Merely having a childlike avatar does not violate this policy. It is not our intent to banish childlike avatars in and of themselves.

If you are in doubt as to whether an activity may be interpreted as *****, we request you err on the side of caution and desist. Please note that some countries' laws may impose penalties for graphics, drawings, or anime that resemble child pornography, even where no children have been involved.

It's perfectly fine to have a young looking avatar.  What's not fine is having them in or around adult activities.  THAT and only that is my issue with them in general.  But don't use the statement in your profile about "being 18"  as a be all, end all discussion about it.  If a region owner is uncomfortable with how your avatar APPEARS,  that is their right.

I don’t see how this has anything do to with my profile. It’s just odd to describe a 15-year-old’s breasts as “amazing”…🤷‍♀️

Because she didnt look 15, she looked in her late 20's.

Yes, but as you are telling the story and already knowing her age why did you feel comfortable to tell us you were essentially checking out an underaged girl? It’s just sorta weird and creepy. Her looking late 20’s is not an excuse in the court of law—but I digress.

I wouldn't want the OP visiting our Island.Sim. I do find her AV's look ambiguous, so I would err on the side of caution.  Adult furniture and RLV devices are everywhere., and some of my art is erotic. So I would ask anyone looking under about 25 to leave.

Because he was telling the story, giving you his first thoughts on seeing her.  Most men would say the same thing...Nice rack!  Oh, crap, she's only 15?  He was trying to convey his reactions from start to finish.  He didn't KNOW she was underage when he saw the cleavage which is the entire point he was making.

I thought that was obvious.
