  1. Lolicon is “little girl”. It’s not a body type but literally anime revolving around children. Let’s not pretend that it’s innocent when anyone could google it and figure out what that “genre” entails.
  2. Your avatar is very pretty.
  3. Imagine believing you are the superior one when you’re chronically online, use the term “normie” as an insult, and fight tooth and nail to wear an anime child avatar to an adult sim. Yikes, dude! just yikes…
  4. No need to vlog first. Just do what you initially planned. Personally, I wouldn’t listen to the people in this forum as—no offense, it’s usually the same 20 people answering the same questions, and they don’t even represent all of SL. They’ll wax poetic about being in second life for 15+ years, chase away the new people asking the most straightforward questions expecting straightforward answers, and just ruin the fun. You definitely shouldn’t feel discouraged about this passion project, nor should you have to be forced to explain yourself. No one here is using their real name, no one will recognize someone’s voice unless they naturally sound like Donald Duck. This is not real life, it’s not that serious. There are no risks of your family finding out you like to wear a dog tail up your back door, or your boss knowing you’re into mud wrestling. The people worth interviewing will realize this especially since you had to hammer in removing any questions they don’t want to answer and/or cutting footage they don’t want in the video. I’d say to jump into one of the popular hangout spots and/or popular inworld groups and advertise there. You could also start with your friend group, word of mouth. Make the first video and people will start reaching out to you for their own interviews. I’ve noticed that a lot of older people like to live in iron fortresses and get paranoid about even simple questionnaire as if anyone is forcing them to be truthful with their responses or as if the question about how many virtual dresses they bought in the past 24 hours could somehow link back to their real life address. Go to places with younger residents who don’t take this platform all that seriously. It’ll make for a more entertaining video, unless the goal is to snicker at the “weirdo” you’re interviewing. There’s a reason trolling videos are so popular on YouTube (especially compared to other games). Some people think second life is a real tangible world, and outsiders see that and find the residents weird and worthy of mockery—not saying it is or isn’t right. I know before I joined the game I thought it was a place people with unfulfilling lives went to sit and seethe. I know now that’s further from the case for the average resident, but it still doesn’t change the public’s perception. People don’t give a rats about the pixel banging. What’s funny is how some residents react to trolls, and how some residents take the name “second life” very literally. Anyway, that’s my rant. I hope you succeed in all your endeavors. I’d love to see SL become more popular through your videos—if not so I have more people to do things with. All the best!
  5. I bet you’ll find several people inworld to interview and the video will be up on YouTube in no time. When it’s ready, post a link. I’ll look forward to viewing it.
  6. Why did you blur out an avatar’s face? Not showing the account name would’ve been enough to conceal his identity.
  7. Not to be rude, but this body simply isn’t made for that and that’s okay! Legacy and Maitreya are fine to keep if you are in the market for super thin shapes (which you already said that you are). No need to switch over, but also I don’t see your point in trying to force a body that was specifically made to cater to realistically curvier people and make it thinner. Its not and that’s okay. No one should have to justify why it’s not either. Though, I will say I had no issues with pulling off a skinner look with my Erika—it just didn’t get that androgynous look because it wasn’t made for that. Erika clearly isn’t for you. It’s a good thing there are still so many other body options.
  8. The CZ Slim body has a female neck version (it’s also currently L$2k) and I found it fits most male and even female legacy clothing almost seamlessly. You could try the Gaia head with the CZ body since it already has that slender anime look.
  9. Yes/no. Honestly, I use whatever I feel like on a given day. As long as it’s humanoid, it looks good, and I can customize it to my heart’s content, I’ll wear it. Though, 75% of the time I am human.
  10. 22 and I made my account at around 18. As a Y2K baby virtual games have dominated my childhood. From Stardolls, to Habbo Hotel, to Zwinky’s, to IMVU. SL was the natural next step lol. I noticed that a lot of women who enjoy Sims also come onto second life—at least that’s my circle. I’ve met plenty of young adults on this game, but most people I’ve run into are at least 15 years my senior.
  11. I exclusively wear Erika because of all the features it comes with, and it’s very natural shape. I got so spoiled with it that I assumed it was the norm, went and purchased the legacy during a 50% off sale, opened that hud, and was crushed by how limited it was despite being so expensive. I switched back immediately and haven’t really touched my legacy since. I also didn’t like how the hud would always open after login and sometimes the buttons wouldn’t respond. I shop the weekend sales almost every week and I manage to always buy a cart full of stuff for Erika. It’s all about looking closely (also the Mix weekend sale tends to never disappoint). I definitely don’t see it as a dead body. If there were a popular tier list for female mesh bodies I’d say kupra, legacy, and reborn would be A, signature Alice and slink bodies would be C, and the GenX and Erika would be B. This body has potential to take over the market, like Maitreya once did, all it needs is that extra push.
  12. Maybe I’m wrong? I could’ve downloaded the wrong file? It was from GitHub I remember that much. Perhaps it was someone else posing as Black Dragon? I’m confused why I had the Trojan :/. I had to uninstall it completely, run the antivirus again, and it quarantined the malicious file. ETA: I was able to access the grid with this file. All of my settings and login information was saved, and I was able to purchase lindens through this file. It was exactly like the previous Black Dragon I had installed except for the red flags raised by my antivirus. The website I downloaded it from was originally a (not sure if it was the official one or not) Black Dragon site that redirected me to GitHub. Prior to installing the newest version, I had my previous one on my computer since I unboxed the tower back in early 2021, so I cannot recall if downloading from GitHub was always the case or not. The file ran smoothly, and looked absolutely no different than the previous version.
  13. I don’t know if this is the right place to put this or if this goes against the naming and shaming policy, but seeing as my antivirus found a Trojan file after my install of the latest version of Black Dragon, I thought I’d perhaps write this forum post to warn others, bring this to someone’s attention, and/or figure out if this program is responsible or not. Before downloading I was given several prompts from both Google Chrome and Windows warning about a suspicious file. Seeing as I downloaded Black Dragon previously I assumed this was due to the file coming from an unknown user. I was prompted to run my antivirus shortly afterwards and that is when it found the Trojan. Just to be extra sure I scanned it on Virustotal and sure enough it came up with the attached. I am in no shape or form a techy person. I could be wrong. I simply wanted to inform someone of this just in case this viewer is harboring malicious code. I apologize if this is located in the wrong section.
