THS - The Home Store has lots of autumn-themed decor on sale this weekend, including the 7 LI roses centerpiece with candles for $75 (table not included) and the 13 LI Thanksgiving console table with wagon wheel and lantern, also for $75. As with other items I've bought from THS, you can unlink the parts and use them separately. For example, the working lantern is only 1 LI, as is each (extinguishable) candle in a goblet. The wagon wheel is 2 LI, the pumpkins and gourd (with shadow) are 2 LI, the orange roses in the pewter vase (including soil in the vase and shadow) are 2 LI, and the trestle table itself (including shadow underneath) is only 1 LI. Shadows on the tabletop are *not* burnt in, but can be selected and removed when the scene is unlinked, or linked with the individual items.

I do not decorate for Halloween, but I had to buy this cutout set fram Artisan Fantasy.

Second Life Maps | Artisan Fantasy

It is 25 L today, October 4, 2022.

576543397_AFhalloweenvillage_001.png.00f0f4aac968d9510f0d7fc3e13014ef.png

It is not very LH friendly, unless you take away other decor to make room for this. The whole group, linked, can not be lower than 6 Li. All parts (0.5 Li) are separate. Cat, bats, moon, houses etc.

But if you link the 12 parts as they come out off the box, the decor is 8 Li.

How to make it big, without Li going up, in the spinoff thread.

2 and 4 li with big texture menu. Impressively long LODs.

Edit after buying.

This comes with AO maps for customization. The MENU FOR TEXTURES only appears after you sit.  Tons of animations.

You beat me to it! But I'll add that also at Dysfunctionality you can find this 3 LI PG cuddle rug (animations for 1/2/3 people) with some lovely texture options. There are 2 version: PG Lite $145, PG Full $345, but as far as I can tell the difference is just in the number of animations, not the texture options. (A small discount is applied if you're a group member, but the group is $195 to join.) Note that the Lawson sofa and chair on display to the left of the rug are not the ones on sale for $50 - use Chic's link for the sale display.

AO maps? That is very interesting. I have a set with curtains from DDD. I have never bothered to do something with the maps before.

But when I tried it, it is simple and I can get lots of free textures from pages like Freepik.

Nutmeg has set out the weekend sale items. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/REKA NUTMEG/208/122/27

A lovely boat for 75L. But with 17 Li this is not very LH friendly. It is not very big either. So you can shrink it, but it will look too small.

curtain_002.png.87a2ca063c3128ecad736f383afac885.png

Two chairs and a lantern for 60 L.

4 Li without pillow, 5 Li with pillow. But you can unlink and delete the shadow prim, and Li will drop to 3 or 4 Li.

The pillow is texture change, 5 soft colors.

The lantern (2 Li) is very nice, and you can stretch it a lot before Li increases. It does not have light. The script only turns on/off the flame. I added light to the lantern. I have LOD 2 here, not 4. I think the LOD is good for indoor use.

Kraftwork: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/KraftWork/213/142/21

The Saturday sale, 75 L.

Well made mini wine cooler with tray. It gives you a wine bottle, or a glass of chardonnay or merlot.

The door open when you click on it. You must open the door and click inside, to get the wine.

The tray dispenses wine too. Very low Li items. The cooler is 2 Li and the tray is 1 Li.curtain_005.png.b323a1b1b2a020e97fb81abedcb37b55.png

I believe this wine cooler has been in a sale before, I already had it.

It is a mini haunted village for sale next to it. It is 100 L. Not a weekend sale, a Halloween sale, I think. It is other Halloween themed decor 50% off too.

I took pictures of the posters. I don't think I will buy Halloween themed stuff from Disorderly. The spellbound set has 3 parts. The land impact is a bit high for me. You buy the set, 60 L for each candle color. It is cream, red, black or purple.

I didn't buy the potions either. It is 75 L for each single group on the shelves. And the tables is sold separately too. I think the price is a bit stiff here. But it is pretty. If I should decorate indoor for Halloween, I might consider one or two of those.

Pitaya has a wizard set for Happy Weekend. It is lovely textures. The sideboard Li is a bit high, 6 Li is more than I will normally spend on a sideboard in a LHome. The items on the sideboard is sold separately. From 3 Li for the stack of books, to 1 Li for the candle.

Fatpack 460 L, 60 L for separate parts.

I think the pumpkins was on sale last weekend too. 60 L per color (Green, orange or white). It is a fatpack for 180 L. Nothing to save there.

Warning here. This is advertised (possibly my reading OR on purpose by seller as a bar set for Manly Friday, When you go to purchase (one reason WHY I HATE VENDORS) it says is the set name "gregoria booth"  -  nothing about "stool". What you are actually buying is just the stool. The LODs aren't great on the stool; I wanted some of the other stuff. It is a pretty stool though LOL.   Anyway, a warning.  You can see that the décor items break up at LOD2 from a fairly close range - some disappear completely.   Oh well.

This is likely no one you have heard of :D.

Wanted to note that the REASON the boat is 17 li is because it has EXCELLENT LODs for long range viewing which most of us living by the open water would want LOL.  It is low triangle count and "I" at least am thrilled. This isn't much different than the iconic 800 linden boat still on the marketplace but not in the shop.   So doing happy dance.

Thank you Marianne for posting this. I’ve been looking for a wrecked boat for my mangrove area & this is perfect! The LOD’s are amazing & as it’s on the corner of my river plot it’s a great warning for passing boats. Nice to have something different than the ubiquitous buoys.

Not a weekend sale, but from Shop'n Hop:

http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dahlia/92/89/53

Trompe Loeil - Octobertime Pumpkins. Only 125 L.

curtain_002.png.397c1135d6de0d67bf759c6eb321968a.png

I love these! The variety is so big. Not only orange ones. My three favorites is the Sugar skull, the Leaf and the Branch. I wish I found these before I bought other pumpkins.

curtain_003.png.8b3f2fbbb5a799ffcfca65cb7052fb55.png

Li from 2 - 3, and 6 for the trio that spell "Boo".

The gift is a nice set of autumn textures. They can come in handy if you use your own ground of mesh or prims. There are some versions without autumn leaves in there too. They will work well in summer and spring. I use 06-A here.

My LOD is set to 2 here. My favorite pumpkins hold up well. The ones that crumple first, is the "Boo" ones.
