a lot has to do on what your looking for can lead to a bad time one is you jump right off into the world with out take the time to learn how things work can make it frustrating for you  . also they should tell you about your web pages  for sales and stuff, and about the utube videos to help you learn .

but if you come to meet new people  you can find lots that will help you  so you can have a good time  and see things you never couldn't  in real life . is it a game ? to some it is  to others  its not,  you ask how its not . lets say your laid up due to something in your life and cant move  from bed to a chair with out great pain or trouble. these people come in world to do what they cant in the rl. so yes this can be there real world to lot people.

does sl  have problems sure it does  but so does rl   you make the best of it .  this video  can help  kinda  lets you know what sl is all about  hope you like it

Would never say SL has a bad reputation, years ago it was a new thing, most now would except it as a norm,  it may have become stale and needs an injection of life.

More like: Years ago it was an overhyped thing, that was celebrated as the way the internet would be like, in the future. Real life companies came in, without understanding Second Life. The first people started making a living out of their SL businesses, which created a gold-rush mood. Tons of uninformed newbies joined. The number one question they had back then: "Okay, I'm here now. How do I get rich?". Camping and money trees were a thing, to get people to stay as long as possible on someones land to increase their ranking in search.

...and then people realized they don't get rich here and companies noticed, that people aren't willing to buy their real life products in a virtual world and that this sandbox-virtual-world isn't going to be the future of the internet. The hype was over. The mainstream declared SL to have "failed". The only form of attention it always had were articles based on peoples voyeurism and enjoyment of drama. And what is best for that? Erotic, sex and fetish. Because especially after SL failed in the mainstreams eye, you must be some kind of weirdo if you enjoy it. And look at those dungeons, fetish sims, furries and child avatars!!!

Today SL is what it probably has always been: A niche entertainment.

Ok wait wait, why isn't anyone talking about the Bragg vs. LL case? Seriously, that's why LL is barely even still existing! The truth is if your a US citizen Linden Labs can be taken to court for just about anything and be tried under US law cause there based in California and they just pulled net neutrality, that means unless you have a signature in writing, there user agreement no longer apply's nor is protected by law, in other words if you sue them for anything or blow the whistle, you will win every time cause the ***** they practice is illegal as ***** and they know it! According to national and international treasury laws any crypto currency not registered by the UN is banned form use on the internet even if its an in game currency like lindens.

This is why companies like EA can get in trouble for selling in game content on the sims if they use real currency to fund in game currency like GTA. Consumer protection Activists would have a field day with LL. Also cause they prevent you from downloading copies of your objects and avatars as well as your region, they can be tried and penalized for not allowing you to have a personal copy of it on your PC for personal use under intellectual property laws.

My ex worked at a business firm and worked for big name company's giving them business permits and is the one who informed me of every infraction LL is making cause his job is to know commercial and consumer protections and cooperate codes for getting business transactions permitted by us law. In other words Linden Labs Is involved is a virtual reality pump and dump scandal. The act of renting out unlicensed digital items you can't personally own is known as Virtual Money Laundering and Intellectual Content Theft. they can be arrested for this if they do not give the creator the rights to there content.

don't you just hate it when you submit a rough draft and trolls just make rude comments like that to just make you look illiterate when you know what the ***** your talking about?

^

Don't forget the next one after cause that's sort of why you got that greeting to begin with ma'am >:(
next time if you see someone doing that just to be rude don't add more to it it sort of makes you look really bad

Hey all, there’s a lot of information here. Could someone please provide some insight as to the veracity of these statements? Thanks!

-///- yeah late for the party as usual but at least i was able to contribute useful information when dealing with LL cause they can even get in trouble for acting as there own country on cyberspace but that is besides the point, truth is they got away with highway robbery for years and nobody did anything about it cause they enjoyed the benefits they reaped by supporting there criminal operations.
