  1. Seeing as everything in Oz wants to kill and eat you, I'm sure you can find a few places on that theme alone, heh.
  2. Do you go anywhere or do anything in SL other than hang out at the same 1 or 2 places 24/7? There are many communities out there.
  3. Expression capability is directly tied to the head the animations are made for. That applies to any MMO. Ifland looks like it only has one male and one female facial structure. The problem with SL is there are hundreds of heads/shapes out there, all made by a few dozen creators.
  4. One thing is certain. It should not take the installation of a new CEO nor VP of engineering to prioritize fixing it. The same applies to ArcTan. The same applies to innovation and intellectual curiousity. Sadly, all of the above have been lacking for quite some time.
  5. There are still bugs that need fixing. I've done extensive testing with that viewer as I also was interested in it. Sadly, I only have guesses as to why they might scrap it, one being, that the new controls are of an advanced nature and might confuse new users. IDK if this means they want to go back to the drawing board or leave things alone.
  6. Just an FYI, Vir Linden has mentioned that that project viewer may be scrapped.
  7. So, FWIW here are the curious/confusing body & chest mod stats: On the left are the top 50 bodies. On the right is body & chest mod followed by count and % of the total body count. So, for example, 5.5% of Maitreya - Lara wearers were also wearing Maitreya - Lara (Petite) : 3444 / 61694 = 5.5% Numbers are far smaller than what I expected. My only explanation is that I wasn't tracking chest mods until I started Round 3 so there were 22k entries that may be missing them or just have not "updated" since, but even if that block of users was tracked correctly, I don't see totals doubling or tripling. Yes, the Kemono has many chest mods, heh. Body total is 154997 (up from 145390 on June 17) I also compiled another list of "new and old" bodies users have and/or switched to: Here are two ways to interpret/read the chart on the right w/ example #1: 1009 or 12% of MeshBody - Legacy (Female) wearers switched from Maitreya - Lara 1009 or 12% of MeshBody - Legacy (Female) wearers also own Maitreya - Lara It doesn't help that Inithium having the two creators splits up the data more. I'll eventually have to think of a way to consolidate that.
  8. It's an attachment though. Animation permissions will be auto-granted. What kind of item. Bringing up animesh makes me think of a pet you hold and if it doesn't function when you remove the animation, maybe the creator made it tamper proof?
  9. The title basically reads as "Why can't we have safe spaces and echo chambers?".
  10. touché And yes, It isn't part of the original topic, but animats' continued usage of "666 triangles = 1 LI" drives me nuts that I have to correct it on the spot here and in-world.
  11. No, the formula is (high_tri_count + max(0,med_tri_count - (high_tri_count / 2)) + max(0,low_tri_count - (high_tri_count / 4)) + max(0,lowest_tri_count - (high_tri_count / 8))) / 666.66666
  12. Stop saying that. 🤐 You know it's charged triangle based. So anything over the 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, Medium, Low, Lowest LOD triangle ratio gets added as well. There is sadly a lot of content with Medium and even Low LOD triangle counts matching High LOD triangle count, causing an additional 50% - 125% LI.
  13. I'll have my compiler spit out a separate list of bodies with chest mods that reports count and percentage versus that of the base body count. So it'll look something like: Maitreya - Lara & Maitreya - Lara (Flat) 2908 5% Maitreya - Lara & Maitreya - Lara (Petite) 8705 15% MeshBody - Legacy Perky & MeshBody - Perky Petite Add-On 588 20% I'll get to it when Covid stops kicking my ass. 🤢🤮🤧🥵🥶
  14. I don't think you're going to get official stats from LL as it could be misinterpreted as LL praising or criticizing particular brands even though it would still be the most accurate stats available and I would love to see something from them, too. They are tracking related data as part of their ArcTan telemetry anyway.
  15. Rebirth - Eden is #87, Rebirth - Eden (Female) is #151, Rebirth - Eden (Male) is #250 AFAIK, they've been around for a year now.
  16. Unless there is zoning conflicts, they've been pretty lax on that lately, even going as far to offer to cut out a slice of abandoned land from a big parcel.
  17. I also track breast, thigh and alternate lower body add-ons like taurs. I wasn't sure about including them as it would split up the overall total for the bodies themself. Lara - Petite is very popular. I would guess that almost 15% of Lara wearers are using it. I'll try to include an add-ons list next round. Legacy Perky and Kupra Kups are on the list because those breast shapes are part of an entire mesh body so they're not add-ons.
  18. They're apparently using attachment checking because the event group isn't the same as the land group. Using the script function llSameGroup() typically requires setting a prim to the group you're wanting to target, but if that prim is over group owned land and doesn't match the land group, then you'd have to set a 0 minute prim return time or use a child prim with the target group and a root prim with the land group, both of which could be undesired.
  19. Slink has been losing ground for over a year now, allegedly since the arrival of Legacy and further followed by the arrival of Kupra. I also track head and body changes, but don't have the stats for those compiled. I'll see about doing that next round. I feel those stats would mostly show what other heads/bodies someone has and cycles between, not necessarily switched from and never will go back to.
  20. LL has only known about it since October of last year. 🙄
  21. Did you use an older version of Blender to make the mesh? If so, see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-100913 Creating it again in a Blender version of 2.79b or greater should fix the issue. Although, IDK if simply opening an existing file in a newer Blender version and resaving will work or not.
  22. Maybe it wasn't meant to be. There are always other fish in the sea. Hey, that rhymes!
  23. A scripted visitor tracker could keep track of all that and use more metrics than just a traffic value.
  24. Years. I used to use Area Search to blacklist masses of objects, mostly sculpt laggers, when I frequented LL's weapons testing region which had its share of griefers daily. Area Search is better than selection as selection can lag you even more depending on how complex the objects are that you are selecting.
