  1. It would be nice to have a feature that would notify customers of product updates, sort of like a subscription to a thread. Could be on Marketplace only, like a notification, but an in-world IM option would be nice too. Sending out bulk folders of items will just create an ever increasing inventory of stuff to deal with at the user side (and on the back-end).
  2. I have been trying to interface a well known serverless system to Linden Lab's proxies to send information to scripts in-world. But the system does not allow connections to "untrusted" HTTPS connections and there does not seem to be a way to add a custom certificate authority to make Linden Lab's proxies "trusted". To get around this, I plan on creating a reverse proxy that has a LetsEncrypt certificate that can be "trusted" by the serverless infrastructure and relay the information through it to the Linden Lab's endpoints. But I am not sure if this would violate any part of the terms of service and am a little worried the amount of traffic from a single IP address could set off alarms on Linden Lab's side. I also do not like needing to place a single point of failure into my process to bridge these two systems. Are there any plans to move the certificates of the Linden Lab's proxies to something with a public, trusted certificate authority?
  3. You should be very careful using Speedlight. It sends nearly all your traffic through a third party server. I have no idea why Linden Labs allows it as a supported client.
  4. I think something like Let's Encrypt is a great idea but I don't understand why Linden Labs just can't setup their own certificate service and then register as a CA with AWS. You guys charge an insane amount of money for sims, no reason why we can't expect you to make them secure.
