Make sure you're not getting bit by this bug. The last comment explains what is going on. -
The nine most common traits for Narcissistic Personality Disorder include: Having an inflated sense of self-importance and entitlement. Needing constant admiration. Expecting special treatment. Exaggerating achievements and talents. Reacting negatively to criticism. Being preoccupied with fantasies about power, success, and beauty. Taking advantage of others. Is it possible to read an inventory object's description
Lucia Nightfire replied to GloriaGlitter's topic in LSL Scripting
llGetInventoryDesc() has come up in the server meetings many times. There are several feature requests for it on the jira. I hope one year we finally get it. -

Height for objects to appear on map?
Lucia Nightfire replied to Sorina Garrigus's topic in General Discussion Forum
If you're using curved prims, turn your LOD Factor to 0 and try to use tubes instead of cylinders and path cut the curves in increments to maintain the curve. What is seen in LOD Factor 0 is how it will appear on the World Map. -
Which trending "mesh bodies" don't have enough clothings yet?
Lucia Nightfire replied to MeshPromo's topic in Fashion
Right. People shouldn't be weirded out enough about it to discourage them from buying the body, but many will. Sadly, many people don't have open minds. Many people are easily offended by things that don't fit their beliefs, identity, lifestyle or sexuality. Even though I say "mainstream" as another way of saying non-LGBTQIA, I'm certainly not saying that entire dynamic is incapable of accepting alternatives. I'm just calling that group a simple majority. How much more prominent a majority they are on SL where there is a exceptionally large LGBTQIA following remains to be seen. I also base the opinion on comments/interaction with self-professed straight "I am seeking..." users in adult chat/AFK groups as well as with feedback from self-professed straight users of my own adult Animesh application, where said users would prefer to not use female characters that wore an invisible p*nis which could optionally be shown, but would use them if that p*nis was already detached with the option of attaching it, instead. So, couple all of the above with the only brand of female bodies that openly/publicly promotes usage of an included p*nis and I think you have a potential reason why sales haven't taken off. It shouldn't be that way, but it is of my opinion why it is so. Again, it is strictly an opinion. A hypothesis. I am not trying to declare it as absolute fact. -
Why not list some specifics? Assistant in doing what?

IMO, I feel if your presentation is in-theme, unique enough and priced/permed accordingly, it is a decent form of advertising and/or brand awareness that otherwise would be lost in the sea of competition relying on a MP or mainstore presence alone.

IMO, Kalhene's public promotion of male addons for that body and the ones before it, turned off many potential mainstream buyers. -
Wow SL Can Sure Be Expensive

Sounds like a new GD thread topic. "SL Is Expensive, but at Least It Is Cheaper Than..." 😆 -
Female avis are getting smaller and smaller? 0.0
Lucia Nightfire replied to Nightingalia's topic in General Discussion Forum
Firestorm is adding 20 centimeters to your height to match your hit box's height or bounding box while standing. LL's viewer does not. Neither viewer's Appearance editor correctly tracks the impact rigged mesh has, which lately seems to shrink a user's height to a degree on average. -
"Before you can use the HUD, make sure you have enabled media in the viewer. Make sure you have enabled Javascript in the viewer. Make sure your anti-virus program is up to date. Pray nothing nefarious happens while using the HUD like say, MitM exploits due to LL repeatedly refusing to update their now 8 version iterations defunct CEF plugin even though for months it was brought to the attention of at least 4 developers in various meetings, two of them leads."

Deploy Plan for the Week of 2022-07-11

Curious why the RC regions were restarted again today, a Thrusday. -
I've been using the below method for some time. Either line alone can sometimes yield no garbage collection. llSetMemoryLimit(65536 - (llGetMemoryLimit() == 65536)); llSleep(0.03);

I had this happen a few months back after a roll, which was mysteriously rolled back and not much info was given. The script had been running for months without issue, then repeated stack heaps after the roll, then none again after the rollback. I had to create a debug channel listener and script pin injection setup to replace the script whenever it borked. I'm weary that LL is screwing around with script memory or VM memory swapping/handling/priority or garbage collection protocols.

Playing sounds longer than 10 seconds...
Lucia Nightfire replied to Domitan Redenblack's topic in LSL Scripting
They pitched this for over 2 years, even adding a viewer check to block anything over 30 seconds from being uploaded then when it comes time for release it is absent from the feature set. Then when I bring it up in the Web meeting, they pass the buck to the Server team, who doesn't sign off on anything for Premium Plus.
