  1. I have to wonder if any one uses that option sense LL charges more to use it. But if some one was scammed and had paid with RL $ then maybe more could be done about it. I don't think individual action against LL would do much to change things, a class action would be the attention getter. I all so have to wonder how LL deals with failed deliveries, and stolen content paid for with RL $, special now that they claim to own it.
  2. I think part of the problem with LL taking it seriously is the currency used... L$ The other problem is that it happened on what we call the marketplace and what LL probably calls project unwanted neglected stepchild.

  4. When you first cross a sim it still thinks you in the old sim so doesn't know your suppose to be walking on a prim in the new sim for a second or 2. At a sim crossing you need to over lap pims from each sim, you can make one set transparent if you like, you have to make sure the root prims of both set are in different sims. If you need help with this let me know I can show you inworld.

Other commerce sites I go to blow marketplace away. I might spend more money if not so cumbersome. Please santa for Christmas a fast marketplace? :) LL put the SL in the word SLow

  10. A year or 2 ago LL came out with a new MP feature that allowed to sort you own store manually, but they removed it the next day because it wakens working right. I have no idea if their even trying fix it any more. My best guess on how it works is: Over all number of sales as a base score. Modified for recent sales with a 24 hour delay then last 3 or 4 days before going back to the base score. With other possible modifier like age of the listing, price, demos, listing enhancements, the number of cats you have. I recently made a demo of an older item, the demo quickly out sold the full item but still has a lower ranking in my store, when I first made the full version I had 2 cats, and when I made the demo I had 0 cats. I like your idea about favorite stores, even if LL wanted to do that it would take them years to get it right. Until then just make a favorite store folder in you web browsers book marks this has the advantages that you can sort them and if you have any alts all of them can use it.
  11. I noticed affter the roll out last week that I have not been able to send $ while in the main chanel sandboxes, tp to an other sim and I can send $ just fine.
  12. a lot of freebies are all so spam, some shops have them as advertising hoping shoppers will look at their other items. If you really want to stop $0L spamming, you would have to remove all $0L items from search when searching for items with a price. The quickest fix the demo issue would be for LL to have all demo under 1 category, better would be to have them linked to the full version and not show up at all in search.
  13. Darien Caldwell wrote: Too bad it turns out any alt can simply buy something with L$ and become PIOF. So now all they have to do is, give their throwaway alt 1 L$, buy a 1 L$ demo, and tada, they are PIOF and can open a store. This makes the new 'restriction' without any teeth whatsovever. Payment Info on File should mean just that: that they have a Credit card, Paypal or other form of identifiable payment associated with the account. Making PIOF just mean they spent an L$ someone gave them makes it useless as a protection. Thats on the marketplace, I would like to think LL is talking about the PIOF in the dashboard. Thats where the link in the anouncment goes to.
  14. Not exactly what your looking for but gives you some idea about market sizes for communities. To get the info your looking for, some one would need to create a new shop, create a listing for each category, and then list them all at the same time.
  15. could be a scam where some one places a fake vendor in front of the real vendor at some one else store
  16. An other thing to think about is as SL keeps losing regions the amount of regions, other grids are growing, SL for a few months now has been smaller then the top 40 opensim grids combined. http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2013/10/october-stats-report/ The way I look at selling on the Kitely market is just the same as selling say textures on the web, what's the most likely thing some one steeling textures from the web to resell going to do... Sell them in SL and in Kitely market you can decide to sell for Real $ only, then it's not just a DMCA violation if some one steals your items.
  17. My favorite is moon soil http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/06/esa-moon-base-3d-printing-_n_2624567.html and closer to home there's cake http://3dprinting.com/materials/edibles-food/okay-we-can-print-chocolate-and-cake-now-we-need-the-icing/ and on the other end of the hardness scale there's titanium http://i.materialise.com/materials/titanium

  19. For mesh theres all so 3D printing as an option. Some of the sites allow you to upload your models and they handle the transaction, printing, and ship the object to customer, and give you a % of the sale. http://www.shapeways.com/

Ren Toxx wrote: This is why often, after I find a product that I like in-world, I check to see if they have it at their Marketplace store, and if they do (and it's the same price, or even less), I prefer buying it there, so that I later have the reviewing option. If they don't, you have to remember that the merchant always has to take several specific steps to make the item available there, since it's nowhere near automated, even after the introduction of Direct Delivery there are enough unavoidable differences that the merchant has to devote time to enable its MP listing. Even if it was compulsory and as automated as possible, this would still be true because the Marketplace vending format demands several unique things impossible to automate, such as main and secondary pictures, description, tags, product categorization, etc. And besides being able to leave a review, your all so helping the merchant by increasing their marketplace search placement.
  21. Fun keyword spam factoids: 90866 listing for the keyword search "Free" only 11866 listing costing 0$L for the keyword "Free" Only one listing for the keywords "Keyword Spam" which makes likely the least spammed item in search lol
  22. I flagged an item that was the most outrageous example of keyword spamming I could find, the list of key words had to be a joke testing what one could get way with keyword spamming. I all so put in a ticket to the marketplace team pointing out the listing, and it's never been taken down. "keywords" content="Apocalyptic, Post Apocalypse, Sci-Fi, Fallout, Retro, Cyberpunk, MadMax, Role Play, Pirate, Dark Fantasy, Rusty Vehicles, Junks, Unisex, Joke Items, Wasteland, Steampunk, Urban, Military," That's the key words for a flowered pattern bikini Then you have all the avatar and store names that get added to item searches. Key word spam is just a symptom, the problem is the people running the marketplace.
  23. I had a problem rezzing yesterday, I keep rezzing and rerezzing things and they never rezzed, or I couldent see them, later they were all returned to my lost in found. I changed sand boxes and din't have the problem any more.
  24. that might be a new bug, I saw a customer have the same issue a few days ago, they bought the same item 10 hours appart, so I refunded them for one of them , but I never heard from them so don't know exactly what happened. If you add some thing to the cart then click on buy now it will add a second one to your cart.
