  1. As we rapidly approach three million item listings on Marketplace, your nice stuff is being buried beneath hundreds of items that have nothing to do with the keywords that you have carefully chosen. With the slow Marketplace response time, nobody is going to look past the first several search pages, and nobody will ever see your nice product. Keep in mind that Linden Lab expects US to let them know who is abusing keyword searches. I try to flag as many as possible, but obviously this is a community problem, a problem that is costing you money every day. (And, yes, I am an alt because in SL, no good deed goes unpunished, LOL.) Linden Lab prohibits us from "outing" bad citizens under any circumstances, but we can "out" their TOS-violating spam keywords and get the same results. Put these keywords into the Marketplace search and judge for yourself. There are dozens of items using this identical set of misleading and even contradictory keywords. "Scooter - Bike - Rezzer - Building - Everyone - Moto - Car - ferrari - lamborghini - sport - bike - motorbike - mclaren - mercedes - bmw - X5 - lotus - fiat - lancia - alfaromeo - truck - suv - audi" Please join me in routinely flagging keyword spammers! Post your own outrageous keyword sets too! See you next week!
  2. Search "alien" and then select full-permission. You will see about 1100 items, 1050 of which are full-perm textures of tigers, wooden doors, cigars, etc. If you sell anything at all like an "alien" then many people will simply abandon their search and go look for something else, you lose. We all know that the typical SLer's attention span is very short, there are just so many wonderful options that we tend to "bail" anytime something frustrating happens. Why should we take the time to do this? 1) It is the way LL set up the system, like a customer bagging their own groceries, they save money by letting US do the work. 2) The clutter of Keyword Spam is probably hurting your sales. 3) These "art and texture people" (with a few exceptions) simply upload an entire collection of OTHER PEOPLES' works, you should have no qualms about flagging them for their Keyword Spamming. Try a couple keywords that represent products you make and go flag 20 of the keyword spammers. Yes, it takes time, but if we all do this once or twice a week we might be able to make a difference. Good luck!
