For ages houses have been filed in the most illogical categories and I hope Commerce sees this and makes a small adjustment. It would make a lot of creators very happy and customers have a faster and simpler experience. With houses I was thinking that this is a huge category with over 26,000 listings, and I'm going to guess that most shopper looking for a house all ready have land and are looking for a house that will fit into the space they have. Instead of categories for sizes may be a filter for foot pint size would be a more useful.
  2. Looking at the new categories for Structures, I like the idea of more categories, but I think they could be done with less layer, many of the new categories add a layer for just 2 choices, there is room just to list them all at one time in many cases. The main list of categories is one that doesn't have a lot of room to play with but there are a few changes there that I think would help. Move "Everything Else" in to the "Miscellaneous " category. The category for "XstreetXL" can go soon to make more room. Combine Mainland and Private Islands in to a single land Category Land Mainland Parcel sales Mainland Rentals Island Transfers Full Island Rentals Homestead Rentals Island Parcel Residential Rentals Island Parcel Commercial Rentals That should make room to move Structures out of building component, and may be change the name to Finished Structures Finished Structures Commercial/Office Buildings Commercial/Bars & Restaurants Residential/Single Family Houses Residential/Multi Family Buildings Off Sim Builds Multi-purpose Structures Other Structures Photography Studios (102) Castles (3475) Lighthouses (394) Bridges/Docks/Walkways Gazebo (4465) For residential houses I think that foot print size might be better then family size to split the category. Thought I'd throw this out there to get the ball rolling, just some quick ideas I had, I'm sure there's room for improvement.
  3. are you creating a new store or did this happen to items you all ready had listed.
  4. Pamela Galli wrote: They think component means "related stuff". It doesn't. It means, and forever has and will mean: com·po·nent     [k uhm- poh-n uhnt, kom-] Show IPA noun 1. a constituent part; element; ingredient. A house is not a PART of a building. A house IS a type of building. The word component is relative to the size of the project, a door is a component of a house, a house could be a component of a Sim, a Sim a component of a estate, at least thats how I think houses got listed as a componet. I agree with you that houses shouldn't be in a sub category of building component. I think there need to be a clear separation of building components( items to help you make some thing else) and finished items ready to use as is.
  5. Thanks TCL, this kind of communication and involvement in the forms is much appreciated! I think using a category instead of keywords is a good move, the clarification is all so helpful. One suggestion on Banner Promotions, I realize that not every one is going to have items that fit into every promotion, but if we have more notice, then at least every one have the choice if they want to participate or not. Often my items don't fit in to a promotion, but I find it fun to build new things that I normally wouldn't, all so I think this my make the promotions more interesting for shopper if more people have time to build new items specifically for the promotion instead of only moving existing items into the promotion.

  7. That's really messed up, what I don't get is how there are so many different problems with the market place and it's seaming to effect different people differently, the only problem I've had so far is LL taking 10% commission on some of my sales, it's makes me wonder if there running more then one version of the marketplace at the same time for testing or if at what time you migrated to DD determine what issues someone has. I think that the lack of consistency is as bad as the amount of problems we are seeing

  9. I never think twice about refunding for double purchases I send refunds even if there not asked for, all my stuff is copy/mod no transfer so it's not an issue. I just thought that the double commission on both order was a bit strange, specially when it was reported differently in 2 locations, wasn't sure if it was an other new problem with direct delivery that need to be fixed. I all ready put in a ticket, thought I'd check if other people were having that same issues that might be better reported as a Jira, I just interested in getting the issue fixed I don't like the idea of sales reports being off, and it al so looks like an issue with customers not knowing to look for items in the new DD receive folder.
  10. I got a message back for a customer and it looks like some people my be buying things twice because they didn't see the new direct deliver folder, but this still doesn't explain the double commission which is what I find really strange.
  11. I just finished sending out refunds for a large number of double orders, I was hopping to talk to my customers to see exactly had happened but none of them were online when I sent out the refunds, so thought I'd post this here to see if any one else had had similar issues. Normally I it looks like the customer had just added an extra to the cart, but all but one of the double orders this week were delivered at different times some time up to an hour apart. One of the double orders how ever did look like it was just an extra item loaded on the cart, it was delivered at the same time, but in this case on the marketplace order history I was charged a double commission on both sales, but in my account transaction history it showed up correctly.

  13. I've been forced to use direct delivery for months and certainly got no notification from LL. I do have to say that direct deliver is working just fine, Direct deliver works like this 1. Find a failed delivery in your order history. 2. Search for the customer in world. 3. Send them the item directly. 4. Send IM to customer saying " Hello I noticed you had a failed delivery on the market place, I'm sending you the item directly." just one problem I never get paid for a direct delivery, I just write it off as good customer service. It's not a mater of who to trust next time, until LL changes their ways we all know what going to happen next time, and the time after that. The biggest problem LL has could easily be fixed over night all they have to do is change their attitude towards their customers.
  14. As a hat maker not only is hair a problem with wearing hat's but can get in the way of making them too. When I first started making hats I made them to fit over my hair, which ended up causing fitting problems for people with smaller hair and or head size. Later I remade all my hats on a bald head that was shrunk down, that fixed sizing issue but not hair problems. I've thought about making hats with hair attached before, but after reading through this topic, making hat hair seams to be the best way. I haven't thought about this issue in some time now that I'm use to having a bald avatar, but now I thing I may have to try to grow some hair again.
  15. I remember I first started trying to make more realistic shapes, after reading about the shapes an animator used, By making similar size shapes you have a better chance of animations looking right. Later I redid all the hats and monocles I sell using a shape with the head size set to 00 so I know my items wll scale down to fit any one now. One thing I think is helping is that you now can see the actual height of you avatar as you edit you shape, before that you had to use a script to find out your height.
