  1. Nope, that will not happen. For me it was just a brain fart this morning. There ends my contribution for now. SL and the forums take already too much time of my life as it is. I like the idea of participating in both events, but I will not play a role in organizing things. If others want to, feel free to use my idea, I might even have some more when a real organization of the events starts happening.
  2. The perception about what is acceptable in a joke is changing worldwide very fast. Not only here on the forums.
  3. Great ideas Pheeby. There should also be an exhibition of some of the excellent photo's that are shown here on the forums regularly by forumnites. And some pictures of our two most favorite forum Moles.
  4. If an event has a price range, the seller has to stay inside that range. But the seller decides if his product is at the bottom end or the top end of that range. The organization of an event decides whether or not a seller can participate or if it is open for everybody who is interested (and pays up). There are events that have no price range, but expect sellers to give at least a ....% discount on the normal price. Some organizations expect new merchandise, some are only interested in the payment of the booth rental by the seller. So it all varies from sale to sale.
  5. Never gave it much thought, it popped up spontaneous just now. But it could include - media on prims with the different sections of the forums. - a few live discussion sessions about Secondlife - Maybe a DJ event or two - presence of forumnites to talk to - Give away of a free car... - communication classes by Zali maybe? - Let the ideas role in.
  6. Maybe we should build something for the next SLB exhibition, to create awareness under SL's residents.
  7. I hope that they are smart enough to only deactivate their products on the MP. Otherwise it will be an awful lot of work to list all the items again once the storm is over.
  8. Sounds the same as a song that doesn't want to stop popping up in ones head over and over again. Trying to distract oneself from it, seems the only way that might help, as far as I know.
  9. Where is that good old adagio "Whatever happens at the WelcomeHub stays at the WelcomeHub" ?
  10. The idea is perfect in my opinion. Show as much of the diversity and possibilities of SL in a compact space. Sadly not all groups in SL are newb friendly or even know that this exibition exists. Only a small percentage of people reads the forums and the blogs here.
  11. True, 17 years (minus a few days now) in SL and I never really bothered where what land is situated. At the moment I have a shop at private land and a houseboat in Belli. I honestly can't even tell in what regions they are. I have landmarks in the favorites bar that I use.
  12. It is there already, but the layout of the WelcomeHub islands is a bit confusing and desorientating to say the least. Here is the link to it. Community Exhibition at the Welcome Hub.
  13. You want to end up being alone in your Fail Second Life in the end?
  14. The welcomehub is made for newbies who don't know about buttons yet. Some even can't figure out how to walk by themselves. Let alone they explore the possibilities of the viewers already.
  15. There are very few regions in SL with constant action going on. Most of them are event driven IMHO.
  16. Ever figured why no serious news site picked up that "sensational" news and let a serious journalist write about it? Because it is simply slander and plain bull *****. Go and stir the pot elsewhere if you really must, please. Some people still like Second Life.
  17. No, it is the right thing to do. If one wants to discuss total garbage, go to a dumpster. Not here please.
  18. I don't know, When one of my products is finished for SL, I set a price on it that I think is appropriate and that's it. I don't know or really care what others ask for similar products. Almost everything is available in SL from free or nearly free up to IMHO ridiculous high price ranges for a "game". So I go my own way in setting the prices.
  19. Here in the Netherlands they are found in the cauliflower fields between the cauliflowers.
  20. Now when I would use the same keywords as Dorientje described above to advertise my Bellisseria add-ons, that would be spam. So it all depends on what one sells and what one uses as keywords IMHO. And if someone makes something for a special brand, it is totally normal to use that brand name too. I use Belli and Bellisseria in my keywords too, without making Bellisseria myself. Edit to add: Rowan was quicker with her response, so basically what she said.
  21. Wow, you mentioned 6 things in only one sentence, where I have no clue about what you are saying. I hope for you that you succeed though.
  22. In the Netherlands one can here the Motown huds playing music. But the huds are one big design catastrophe IMHO. The UK is ruled out as it seems. Must have something to do with royalties.
