  1. My experience is, that a lot of people get uncomfortable when someone is around and TP out ASAP. So when I see someone on the map in my store, I stay away from it. Customer contact can be fun, and has been for me too, but I never seek contact. The initiative has to come from the customer. I have the same thing in RL myself. I hate it when a salesperson is circling me in a shop.
  2. Yup listings are failing again. It really will be marketed as a feature soon instead of calling it a bug.
  3. @Arielle Popstar I submitted a ticket about sim crossings 16+ years ago. It still isn't completely fixed.
  4. LL are champions in ignoring feedback. Just saying. If they were as good in developing as in ignoring, Second Life would be in an even far better shape than it is now.
  5. For me it is simple, I see no reason whatsoever to start diving into PBR right now or in the near future. PBR as it stands at the moment in SL is more a pain than fun for the average user IMHO. When it ever becomes the new standard, I will then decide if I'm gonna learn it or call it a day as creator.
  6. Now there is pink and pink. I have a few pink shirts in RL, but: That's what I mean.
  7. Far worse: totally pinkish in the morning. Barbie world II
  8. So basically SL is made more complicated once more, just because LL had lightning devs hanging around since Phil closed his shop and came back and LL wants to be able to say that we endorsed a new shiny. Sigh.
  9. Grrr, I buy oranges every week in RL but never got an automatic refund.
  10. Nope, that will not happen. For me it was just a brain fart this morning. There ends my contribution for now. SL and the forums take already too much time of my life as it is. I like the idea of participating in both events, but I will not play a role in organizing things. If others want to, feel free to use my idea, I might even have some more when a real organization of the events starts happening.
  11. The perception about what is acceptable in a joke is changing worldwide very fast. Not only here on the forums.
  12. Great ideas Pheeby. There should also be an exhibition of some of the excellent photo's that are shown here on the forums regularly by forumnites. And some pictures of our two most favorite forum Moles.
  13. If an event has a price range, the seller has to stay inside that range. But the seller decides if his product is at the bottom end or the top end of that range. The organization of an event decides whether or not a seller can participate or if it is open for everybody who is interested (and pays up). There are events that have no price range, but expect sellers to give at least a ....% discount on the normal price. Some organizations expect new merchandise, some are only interested in the payment of the booth rental by the seller. So it all varies from sale to sale.
  14. Never gave it much thought, it popped up spontaneous just now. But it could include - media on prims with the different sections of the forums. - a few live discussion sessions about Secondlife - Maybe a DJ event or two - presence of forumnites to talk to - Give away of a free car... - communication classes by Zali maybe? - Let the ideas role in.
  15. Maybe we should build something for the next SLB exhibition, to create awareness under SL's residents.
  16. I hope that they are smart enough to only deactivate their products on the MP. Otherwise it will be an awful lot of work to list all the items again once the storm is over.
  17. Sounds the same as a song that doesn't want to stop popping up in ones head over and over again. Trying to distract oneself from it, seems the only way that might help, as far as I know.
  18. Where is that good old adagio "Whatever happens at the WelcomeHub stays at the WelcomeHub" ?
  19. The idea is perfect in my opinion. Show as much of the diversity and possibilities of SL in a compact space. Sadly not all groups in SL are newb friendly or even know that this exibition exists. Only a small percentage of people reads the forums and the blogs here.
  20. True, 17 years (minus a few days now) in SL and I never really bothered where what land is situated. At the moment I have a shop at private land and a houseboat in Belli. I honestly can't even tell in what regions they are. I have landmarks in the favorites bar that I use.
  21. It is there already, but the layout of the WelcomeHub islands is a bit confusing and desorientating to say the least. Here is the link to it. Community Exhibition at the Welcome Hub.
