  1. Check your email, and see if there is a message there. If you see none, check your spam folder because sometimes they end up there. You can also check Support tickets to see if there is one for this transaction. I suspect you were supposed to submit a tax form and didn't in the time allowed so your sell order was cancelled. If that's the case the email or support ticket will tell you and tell you what form is needed and how to submit it. If that is not the case, contact billing and ask them.   3. Hi. I was the one that answered your question. I knew the answer because I use Firestorm, but I checked the Firestorm wiki before answering to see if there was also another way, but it confirmed what I told you.
  4. It depends on what rate you offered and how many offered the same rate ahead of you. As you say, it could take only a few minutes or hours OR it could take weeks months or years until someone wants to sell their linden's at the rate you offered. You can always cancel the offer and redo it at a lower rate, or just use the money in your US dollar account that is the refund from the cancellation to buy at the market rate.
  5. Back when ghosting was pretty common, once i crashed and was able to log on again. Once I did I saw my ghost standing in the last place I was. Pretty creepy lol.
  6. When you but Lindens you buy from other residents not LL. If you chose a Limit Buy (Best Rate Buy) that allows you to specify the amount of Linden dollars and the exchange rate you are willing to accept. LindeX automatically matches up buy and sell offers as they come in. If your offer is too high it could take days weeks or months You can cancel the Limit buy and the money will go to your US dollar balance. You can then use Market Buy to get Lindens almost instantly

If you didn't get instructions or don't understand them, you best bet is to contact the creator, their customer service reps or join their support group, if they have one, and ask for support there. You can also post in the regular Forums under Avatar and someone who knows may answer.

  10. You need to get the correct version for your internet browser. According to the Firestorm website you need version 21 of it. The Version 21 of Flash is not available on the Adobe site anymore, but is available on other download sites. I googled Version 21 for my browser and found several places to download it.

  12. You can't. You have to post it for each day. You can't use the same exact post either as that's considered spam. You will have to vary the title and wording for each post.
  13. The first thing to do is log onto your dashboard at https://secondlife.com/ and check to see if the money is showing there. If it is, its just the viewer not accurately showing the amount you have. A relog generally fixes it or getting someone to pay you $1L will. If the money is not there, then look at your transaction history to see where it went. If you don't recognize the transactions, then your account may have been compromised. Accounts can't be hacked but can be compromised if you give someone your password, accept an object then rez it and inadvertently gave permission to debit your account, or you clicked a link that took you to a phishing website. If it is the latter be sure to run a virus checker and anti malware program to rid your computer of anything that it picked up there. Your account may have been compromised if: You can't access your account. You suddenly notice a reduced available balance on the payment source you have on file. If this happens, contact us immediately! Here's what to do: Go to the Second LIfe Help page and log in if you can.   16. I try to keep an open mind about things but it depends on what is being discussed since there is a difference between facts, theories and beliefs. I also try to think logically about what is being said, to help me evaluate whether to accept it. If the discussion is about a fact that I am certain about, I know I'm right. If about a theory, I know I am probably right but I am open to good evidence that can prove the theory wrong. If I have a belief, on the other hand, I am completely open about it and willing to change my mind if someone can convince me their thinking is more logical or can present facts to the contrary. I don't mind people who say "I think ....." because to me they are predicating their thoughts as just what they think about something, leaving things open to what I think or what can be proven as fact or generally accepted theory.
  17. You don't need to change skins. Click on something on your screen, go to Edit then scroll out. You'll see your AO off screen and can click it and move it back to the screen area outlined by the box you'll see. You may need to rotate the HUD so that the right face is displayed. You can do this using the edit tools.
  18. Parcel size has nothing to do with whether a place is similar. Their place is a beach, your place is a beach, that's similar whether clothing is optional or not. Their place also has places for couple like you advertised. You broke the rules so they removed your ad. You got a refund, which they didn't have to give you. You were probably banned because you broke the rules then argued about it, no matter how politely you did it. The rule was clear and no warning was required before they acted. The TOS allows a land owner to ban you for any reason or none at all. You are breaking the rules of this forum by mentioning a place by name in a complaint. I suggest you remove the name before you get banned here.
  19. No Linden's here, just volunteer residents. Nothing we can do to help you. LL doesn't just take someone's word for it, nor do they accept chat logs etc as absolute proof since they can be altered. LL can check their own logs if there is a question about it. You get a chance to appeal, there was directions in the email they sent you about it.
  20. Kick everyone out then leave it yourself. Groups must have two people in them or they are deleted. Be sure you want to do this. Once a group is gone you can't get it back or reuse the name.
  21. One reason I decided against getting the Maitreya Mesh body was there weren't as many mesh clothes for it. I got SLink since there were more clothes available for it and I was also able to wear most of the standard size mesh clothes I already owned with it. So Maitreya lost a sale to me because they want to maintain such tight control. Maybe they are afraid some of low quality clothing being made for it, but IMO the market will decide that. They should take a lesson from PC vs. Mac. The reason PC's are so much more prevalent is the ease that companies were able to get the info they needed to develop them and the software vs. Mac.
  22. If Bloodlines doesn't return the money you have no recourse. LL does not involve themselves in this type of dispute. Unless you can return the merchandise Bloodlines probably won't give you the money back. You can't return the items if they are no transfer.
  23. You will need to stream it just like a DJ streams music into clubs. Rent a stream and then get a DJ program to stream it onto your land. Of course your computer and the DJ program will need to be on for this to work unless you rent a stream with server space. You can rent streams in SL from various companies inworld or on MP. You'll want to get one with enough listener space for the number of people likely to be on your land or listening to it on their land or in RL. For instance if you rent a stream for 10 listeners and have a party, anyone that arrives after the first 10 people won't be able to hear the music.   24. The Groups under Contacts are the list of groups you belong to, at least in Firestorm. In your viewer it may be labled People. You can also access a group page by finding the group in your profile and clicking on it.
  25. Yes, ask them. If they don't tell you take the hint they don't want you to know. If you are asking because you want to tp to them, I think it's rude just to tp to someone without asking first anyway. Most people feel that way. If you are asking because you want to spy on them without their permission, that's just incredibly rude. People deserve privacy. You don't need to know where they are or what they are up if they aren't with you unless you ask and they voluntarily tell you.
