Running 32 bit on a 64 bit OS is asking for more trouble than it's worth to save 50mb. External harddrives make excellent storage and leaves more room on your main drive for programs.

That's not on me. We who? I've never played one of the machines and never will. I live without gachas just fine. As SL was just fine before gachas and will be after them, if LL ever nerfs them. I don't recall asking to be pleased. You asked me and I answered. If you don't like the answer, that is on you, not me.

Too many hoops to have to jump through. Why not make them copy/mod/no trans to begin with and save everyone the time and hassle. Some of us have full time jobs plus the full time job of taking care of the home and the full time job of taking care of family. Our time online and in SL is limited. Why would we want to waste any of it unnecessarily? For some of us, life is getting too short to willingly waste time.

Let me put it quite bluntly. I haven't agreed with anything you have said. You can try dictating to other people how they should celebrate holidays etc but you can't force them to listen or follow your personal beliefs.

Considering I was involved in helping to take RedZone down, yes, I do. What you are overlooking is the fact that everything done with RedZone was done without the consent of the individual. Just because consent isn't "required" doesn't make it right or legal.

What size hard drive do you use that 400mb takes up too much storage? I have a 2TB drive and the storage for FS is a drop in the bucket. Even with FS, 3 MMOs, ARC, Steam, Origin and all the other programs I have on this pc, plus all the saved games from the singleplayer games I have installed, I still have 1.58TB free, so your complaint doesn't make sense.

You are correct that the data wasn't "stolen" when it comes to SL UUIDs. The problem is, they are inputting that data into a non-LL database without the consent of the individual. Most of us trust LL (within reason) with our data. However, we do not know who these people are that have databases outside of LL's jurisdiction and have no idea if they can be trusted or not. As was shown with RedZone, it is better to be safe, than sorry.

The problem is, you shouldn't HAVE to opt out. You should not have to join the game to be able to opt out. It should be opt in. That is the problem. This whole thing reeks of RedZone. Those who have been around long enough to know about RedZone know what happened to it's creator. It didn't help that he was a convicted criminal (money fraud) prior to joining SL.
