  1. @Julianne Hellershanks How wonderful! Enjoy your new home
  2. We'll have to ask the OP of course, but I didn't think this was the point she was making? I read her point as more about a feeling of living in an active neighbourhood, and seeing signs of life outside your windows.
  3. That's been my experience of Bellisseria also, and is what I'd expect. I just zoomed out my mini map to the Max in the old continent and counted 13 other bodies. For uk lunchtime that surprises me (just went up to 20 while I was typing) Bizarrely that's similar or more to the number of bodies I used to expect in Belli at the same time. My bit is 04 on your map (I was vague before because my main map loads so slowly at times I hadn't checked)
  4. It must be frustrating. I think some people grabbed plots early, then went back to their usual activities and have forgotten about them! Houseboats were seen by some as free boat slips, which was an attraction for island dwellers cut off from the largest oceans. It sounds like you are not happy where you are. Swapping plots is challenging but not impossible.
  5. Dang Seba, I actually did laugh out loud at this. You are priceless.
  6. I just gave up my Bellisseria home, and moved into an older Linden place. Lots of reasons, but one was letting someone else have the Belli experience. I'll do something else for a while then maybe head back once the crazy refreshing has died down There are more people back in the old Linden continent than I remember. Maybe displaced new premium members? It was really nice to see the Belli house taken up, and I hope the new person enjoys the place.
  7. Are they doing it to be annoying?
  8. I should think some people aren't necessarily that connected, don't visit forum etc etc and won't have read their covenant in any detail.
  9. I think you are supposed to read that small word upside down ...not quite the Drahl YMCA but close enough.
  10. @Morena Tully So gorgeous, homely and beautifully designed.
  11. If your spelling is a bit random like mine, using 1024 as a search string works for traditionals and houseboats (older linden homes have a 512 footprint) Also note (not personally tested) that the auto refresher for firefox worked better for some. Test your refresh time with a search string for an older house. Too short a time will mean that the page won't load properly and the alarm won't sound.
  12. I'm fairly sure they took slide rules, for early days space missions.
  13. Gorgeous landscaping in this area. New plants as well? Unless I missed these hydrangeas elsewhere. I found this path in SSPE137. At first wondering if it was a cycle-way, but maybe too many steps for that.
  14. I used to be one of those power crazed community organisers, only in it for myself and surfing off the backs of others talents. Or at least that's what the email said that I received one day. 😲 Luckily most people have a more generous view and are grateful when others put the time in.
  15. It's still luck though, I have a fast pc and connection, but I actually got my home on an outdated very slow android tablet using intermittent wifi!
  16. This looks interesting, those long straight roads will be loved by drivers I'm sure! The mountain homes have rock textures for their outside space, which some may find inconvenient to work around, but the views will be great!
  17. @Aethelwine the moles / lindens do read the forum posts, and none of us knows what is in the pipeline. The present system is certainly stressful for so many.
  18. I think it helps restore my personal FPS as well! (struck me as a good metaphor) @Chic Aeon looks gorgeous!
  19. This did occur to me also, that if this was to be implemented some sort of randomised order would be needed, to avoid previous problems. In my view it isn't the idea itself that's the problem, it's the degree of commitment to a system that's already in place. I mean, how much time and effort that would be required to change. We don't really know what would be involved, so it's hard to say from our side whether that would be simple or not
  20. It's been surprising to me the kind of features that cause people to abandon plots. I really like the look of the home @tootsiepop1 shows above, it's a bit different and looks like it might have a nice view of the ocean from the rear balcony. I'm sure someone will love it. There are a few themes emerging in terms of popularity of plots, and it could be that there are also other people who would struggle with that kind of house. @CandyxHaven I find it hard to read your post because of my eyes and the formatting. You must be posting on a device which makes it hard to create gaps in your text?
  21. There may be a better solutions out there, but, you also have to take into account the transition costs of changing a system vs. ongoing incremental efficiency savings gained from ongoing experience. Abnor Mole stated that the team were actively working on ways of increasing the release rate using the current system, and he expected that things would get better. Frustrating as it all is, changing things might not help.
