Well I would give the shop owner a bit of understanding before labeling anyone a thief. I have been in SL since 05 and only one time ever had a shop owner be truely unwilling to resolve a problem. Not everyone is in SL everyday, even shop owners have a RL and sometimes unexpected things happen. I would send an im and another notecard. Delays in service are never good but it can happen to even those with the best of intentions.

Well I can work them but it is time consuming and do not have any magic tricks to offer up. I now use hud driven shoes only for photos and even then not often. And am not buying them anymore. The fun has worn off and so not worth messing with for me. I am finding some nice heels with no hud at Gos and GField for couple of alternatives. The stillettos at Lusty are also well made, very basic but do come in a ton of colors

check Search/Events/Education for classes...it might be the classes won't be specifically about windows and doors but the same building principles work for many things. Check both building classes and scripting as making doors open is a script

take out one word at a time and see what is triggering it. Ihad similar issue and discovered that the words loli and lolita were banned words. so what is innocent to most of the population might not be to the maturity filters

did you process the credit? once you sell and the order has been filled you process it and direct how it should be sent to you wire or paypal. once you have don that it can take up to a week to hit your account but usually 3-5 days

you can check in the events section for contests that give linden

I agree, everything is here whether you wish to scialize or game. The problem for new people is finding their direction. The new viewer certainly doesn't help...just look at the questions in the Answers section where they cannot find where to edit their avie or wear clothes with the Basic and Advanced modes. And then there are the modesty skins they are born with that must not come with any messaging, given how many "how do I take my clothes off" questions. There is new work on search happening maybe that will help in finding destinations...though given past results more fearful than hopefull...and the new don't really know what to look for when they first land even if search worked. Finding answers in the wiki is even harder than finding what you want inworld. The Answers forum is great but I am not sure many find their way there...mostly I think they just leave SL is complicated and not like any other online enviornment; think personal greeters to help the new would be helpful. There used to be a volunteer staffed mentor group for that but they were poofed. .

I have never bought linden but you do need to get payment verified...so you need to spend some L with Linden lad in some manner for that to happen. Besides buying linden you can buy mainland, start a group or pay for a classified...but as a brand new player it might be easiest and most usefull to just buy the small amount of linden. Or, you can just wait until you actually have earned enough linden to need to cash out..prior to that it is likely you would have needed an ad, land or group while today you do not

I dont care about color change either so much, could be nice but not a issue for me. What I do care about is that everything is mod---not resizer that just makes bigger, doesnt make it "fit" And lots of layers for things like shirts to wear out Jacket layer and option to wear shirt with a pant layer for bottom,or tucked in with undershirt, shirt layers with a underpant layer that keeps the shirt from looking like a crop top with low rise pants

I have been told that many creators do not want people changing their creations. Personally I wont buy anything that is not mod. And resizers just make things bigger, they dont make them fit

Each maker has a unique style so it will depend on your personal taste and style. Each of these creators offer great quality skins, each is very different from the others: Abyss Belleza Cheerno DNA Dendou LaVie Laqroki Redgrave Sawode Tellaq I am sure I am missing other great ones but those will at least provide you a very wide variety of styles to check out.

You could try to contact the owner inworld and see if could resolve the issue on a avie to avie level.

Well if it just happened yesterday I would give the merchant a lil time before worrying too much. Also, the marketplace itself can be very slow...up to 8 hours to deliver. Did you include a copy of the transaction on your notecard? That is always helpful to the merchant, he can see exactly what you bought when. For future purchases if you want to be sure to "get it right now" tp to the inworld shop. Buying inworld is much more reliable. If you must by on the marketplace, buy single items vs using the shopping cart...single item sales rarely fail the shopping cart is still not very dependable.

@ Darren Scorpio, most of the items you picture are totally available in SL...you have been shopping at the wrong stores I think! I like SF Designs...look in her formal wear section and Alphamale also has some great suits and what they call a casual tux

On rezzing derezzing builds...many builders package their skyboxes and homes in a easy rez box that is super easy and also include a derez. But, this is a product packing option and not all builds have them I do not think there is a way to save your configuration as a backup. Most landlords are pretty nice people and give tenants plenty of time to pick up and relocate. The few horror stories are just more fun to talk about....but they are rare.

hi Jared welcome to SL a few suggestions for meeting people here: 1. Search is your friend...well, when it works it is lol. Look in Events and Groups for Roleplay, Writers etc where you will find a gathering of like-minded avies vs hoping to stumble upon them. There are many RP sims, writers and discussion groups inworld, you just need to find them 2. Take some of the free inworld classes on anything. Reccomend understanding the basics of building for everyone. Even if you do not want to create anything, you use the same skills to build as you do to move furniture in your home, adjust or modify hair, clothing and jewelry prims to fit your body. Plus it is a good place to meet others. You will find classes in Search/Events/Education

If you have not already you might want to check the inworld job classified ads found in Search. Also go around and talk to the owners and managers of clubs that you particularly like

You do not have to spend RL money here but, at some point you most likely will not be happy looking and moving like a "freeebie" avatar. This means you will want to upgrade your avie items, clothing, poses and such. You may also decide you want a home or to rent/buy a cool piece of land. Or to give a birthday gift to a friend. And then there are the gadgets, gismos and toys. At this point you can then choose to fund with RL money or earn lindens via a inworld job to support your lifestyle. You can find a help wanted section here in the forums and also postings via inworld Classifieds which you will find in Search. As an alternative to a job, I have met people who support their SL lifestyle by entering contests that giveaway lindens. You will find many of these listed in Search/Events. Note on freebies, sometimes there are good items, frequently ok items, and many many horrid items...but hey they are FREE. A better solution imo, are group gifts from some of the better crafters in SL. These tend to be much higher quality; particuarly for skins, which are one of the most important items for your avatar. Many of the higher-end groups charge to join; while the fees are modest it it will require spending some linden. Just like RL you pretty much get what you pay for in SL

Besides the help wanted section here in forums there are also job releated ads in the classifieds inworld. You can see them using search on the classifeds tab

Check search for classes. They are in Events/Education section You can also find many soruces and links in the wiki and by just using google to find links people have posted

These were 3 unique people, buying 3 different items from me. I suppose it could mean they did not have the funds...though to have that occur 3 times on same day when never had before seems odd. Am more inclined to think the Marketplace had an exception than the people trying to buy my products. I have searched wiki and other sources but nothing comes up for "user exception"
