  1. Go into appearance mode In the bottom of the window will be a "save outfit" option click on it Name it something you will remember and then save Everything you are wearing will be in a folder matching the name you gave to outfit with the items as links
  2. Not all avatars are too narrow, nor are all too wide. Each is made or purchased to suit the preference of the wearer. Too tall, too short, just right all in the eye of the perceiver. I have spoken with many people that I think are very odd looking...but, they think they are beautiful; who am I to say differently. The best thing about SL is that we all get to be exactly as we wish.
  3. You take off/turn off the blood throwing up animation or gesture
  4. I cannot see any way that those two issues could possibly be linked. One is a personal problem - the textures and the other is a product issue. No way one effects the other, except for wishful thinking maybe For textures not loading I would: clear cache and check your graphic settings first if that does not work I would try using another viewer If your work is not selling look at what competitive items look like, how they are packaged and what they sell for. If your items are not perceived as being the best value proposition (quality+price) then they wont sell. Just having things to sell does not mean they will sell.
  5. Try the character test in the advanced menu If that does not work I would try logging in with a different viewer...change shape, clothes everything and see if you load Look and see if you have a item called Ruth Hair Fix and delete it is found If this rez's you fully you should be safe to log and then come back using your preferred viewer
  6. Others here have provided you links on getting started and editing your avatar but on making friends. Look in search on the events tab for social activities and then also in the education tab for free classes. Attending events will give you an opportunity to meet others Suggest not trying to meet people randomly at stores or other non social occasions and do not send out random friend invites. Friend invites should be sent to those you have spoken with and who have agreed to be friends with you. Place that you might also find those new comer friendly are: Help Island Oxbridge NCI locations - there used to be several
  7. Rebaking on Phoenix is same ctrl-alt-R You could also try clearing cache in the edit preference/network tab Last if the above does not do the character test in the advanced menu
  8. Slider setting will not move by themselves. However they could appear to in a very laggy situation. Once you hit save button and that completes, the sliders will not change unless you edit appearance again
  9. As stated you cannot change this avatars name but if you have not invested much into her yet you could recreate her with a new account and a new name
  10. It can take up to 24 hours to receive marketplace items after 24 hours if you have not received them, send a polite notecard to the merchant and they will typically make it right suggest making single purchases on the marketplace, they have a better success rate than the shopping cart. if you want it "now" use the marketplace to search then tp to the inworld shop to buy
  11. Here is a blog that lists free items and where they can be found: http://fabfree.wordpress.com/
  12. I do not think you can post the same event for the same time in two categories. You could try posting them at different times in each category if the event is long enough and maybe even name them slightly differently
  13. If the renewal is showing 50L then I do not think it picked up your request for it to be published at 1000L. However you still should be able to find it listed in the classifieds when searching As the other responder suggested if it is not appearing at all then submit a ticket If you find it was submitted just at the wrong price let the ad expire at end of week and then resubmit ad with the 1000L price
  14. the Marketplace offers a gift" option but make sure your alt is logged in to recieve it. Many merchants also offer gifting options. However, the easiest method might be just to send your alt lindens
  15. First if you do not have good basic building skills I would take some of the free classes...even if you never want to build anything the same principles are used to fit eyelashes, adjust hair, jewelry and prim clothing to fit. Skills that will be very handy if you want a polished looking avatar. So take classes building anything from a house to a magic wand, they will all help you learn the techniques. Eyelashes can be a pain to fit but with editing ability and patience you move (arrows) and rotate (wheel) very gently until they are in the right place and position...best done on a pose stand to avoid "oops" Any time you edit an item it is best to copy it first. That way if there is an "oops" you can copy the original again and start from scratch, deleting the messed up one. If you do not yet have good editing skills, I would suggest saving your prim lashes to wear after taking some classes to help with the editing and buy a pair of tattoo lashes for immediate wear while you build the skill sets.
  16. If you location is very laggy that will hurt your delivery. If you have many items in a single box that can also cause problems. Or, it could just be the marketplace. Single purchases seem to work fairly well; even if they are slow they seem to deliver. However, I see many failures or partial failures with shopping cart purchases.
  17. Your best option would be to ask the creator of the translator. Send him an im with your issues and also copy the im to a notecard to send as well in case his messages cap. The person who made it would be the best one to help you use it
  18. Open the texture inworld and then in the file menu there is a save texture option that you can select to save to your computer. Once you edit the texture you can then upload from file menu - upload image, which will cost you 10L
  19. You might want to take some inworld building classes which you can find in events/education. There are also good tutorials that have been linked here by other residents. You can also find youtube tutorials. Using classes and tutorials you will learn how to both build and texture your items. The boxes to sell your products usually require pictures of the creation, some sort of graphic design and best if has your shop name too. This will require you to use something like Gimp (free software) or Photoshop (not free). Anytime you upload an image/texture you wish to keep it will cost you 10L (you can upload temporary pics free but these vanish when you log out)
  20. Not sure understand you issue but it might be your attachment points. If you "wear" the skirt and the belt attaches to the same point you cannot "wear" it without detaching so you need to use the "add" for putting on the belt. Another way of managing is to wear the skirt and then see what attachment point it uses and then attach the belt to something different like the pelvis or stomach...whichever the skirt is NOT occupying. You might then need to adjust the position of the belt to sit correctly in its new spot.
  21. I mostly use the Marketplace as a search tool because even when it works it is sometime slow and I want my items "now" not later. But, as both a buyer and a merchant, see few problems with single purchase transactions completing (slow sometimes but they get there) and tons of problems with shopping cart sales.
  22. If you look at inworld search under the events/education section you will find many free building classes. That is a good place to start. Then you can find the tutorials mentioned here by other responders; I have seen several on youtube as well, though I do not have links to them so you would need to search them out
  23. Paste the transaction information on a notecard showing both purchases. Send it to the creator along with a nice im explaining. Most merchants will refund for duplicate purchases
