@ Jacki the Flexi skirts have some measure of "limpness" to the and will blow as you walk as if in a breeze. How much they move depends on how flexi the maker created them Sculpts are often softly shaped with rounded edges and such but they have no limpness, a sculpt skirt might swing like a bell when walking but with not flutter in a breeze Prim skirt are hard - made of one or more prims...often you will see straight mini's made with a jacket or pant layer and then a prim panel to make the front of skit. - but not a flexi skirt is a usually a multi-prim skirt with the but each is turned soft Nonprim skirt just a skirt layer and usually you have to adjust your shape to wear them or look like a huge bubble butt Sooo, that least my explanation and probably as clear as mud!

What is the best in female skins now?
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Rick Quonset's topic in Your Avatar
With each skin maker having a distinct style what you will love may greatly differ from others but quality crafters include: Abyss, Belleza, Cupcakes, Curio, Glam, Laqroki, Lara, LaVie, Redgrave, Sawode am sure forgetting someone terrific but those will give you lots to look at -
Too true and might still use them for photos but not going to buy more of em lol and will leave them off for public events. I was at a fashion event not too long ago and with lag turned down graphics and windlight and there were all these beautiful women...with very ugly feet lol.
-
yep even when using the specific RBG to get the skin tone...then windlight has to be considered. If you use rbg and set lighting correctly then feet look perfect to you...but, anyone with different light settings will see them as "off" color

I like the huds that change the shoe colors and elements...what I don't like are the shoes with toes and feet that you have to try to match with your avies skin. Kalnins makes great shoes for men, and I also love love their women's boots. If you don't mind tweaking skin colors their women's sandals are lovely too...I am just tired of messing with skin tone matches personally

Ok, it was fun for awhile but I am soooo over shoes with huds that make wearing them a math project. Plus, looking perfect to my own eye does not mean that others see it the same; shoes with fake toes/feet look different with each light setting. And what is with the closed toe shoes that have huds; why do we need to mess with that if the shoe does not show toes? Giving up on hud driven shoes means giving up a huge portion of my beloved shoe collection so, I am now the hunt for new ones. What are your fav high-quality closed toed shoes that do not involve skin matching? Who makes your favorite mile high stiletto that you can just put on and run out the door with no worry that someone will see a dead persons foot attached to your avie? My current favs are Gos, GField, Lusty...what are yours?

No one can help you here or at LL as it is a issue with a specific merchant. You need to send an im AND a notecard to the item creator...the person the lindens you spent were sent to. On the notecard put your name, state the issue and then go to your transaction history, copy the transaction(s) and paste them on the note as your proof of purchase. Name/title the notecard and send it to the creator along with a short im letting them know what the notecard name is. Good Luck

how do i get all my in world items back in my inventory
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Sin Ormega's question in Inventory
If you own the sims you can just use the estate settings to return your items in one clump. If you do not own it, you can request the sim owner(s) do this for you or...if your items are all in one area together, you can click edit on one item then hold down shift key to drag a highlight box around the collected items and then take them...this will clump them all together in a single jumbled prim as would the first option or...if you do not want them all clumped together you can pick them up by clicking on each item and taking -
Bring PICKS back to inworld Search!!!!!!!
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Medhue Simoni's topic in Merchants
oooh no, I dont want just one "I like". I want many many lol. I agree with Medue, just give residents a tab where they can put pics and coments on their friends and family and then have a tab for merchant picks that are not modifiable -
Bring PICKS back to inworld Search!!!!!!!
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Medhue Simoni's topic in Merchants
They haven't done "nothing" ... they keep working on it to make it even worse A few months ago it was hard to find the products you wanted, but now it is hard to also find a person or place by name in ALL too. I think they are soooo focused on ending search gaming they have forgotten the product needs to work -
making ths shopping cart work would be a big help

No I see the same kind of response as always. I had a ticket in for a month before it was replied to and the reply mad me more frustrated than ever...it was some canned response that spoke to me like I was clueless and told me to read the wiki. So no help, nothing new in that and no change either. Live chat is no better since they seem to hire people who know nothing about SL

Separated by commas OR separated by commas and spaces?
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Josh Susanto's topic in Merchants
Our shop has been in the top 5 since about 2007 and even with all the tweaking LL has done we were able to find some way to show up...Not so with this last version. I filed a trouble ticket which was responded to a month after issue and the was a canned response as if I were a noob about all the complications of search and how I should read the wiki...I found it utterly insulting. And this is not just a problem for us merchants...as a shopper, I tried to find two jeweler's the other day and they were not in search. I found one through a classified but actually had to find merchandise from the other that I already owned, read the creator and then tp off his profile. Today I was looking for a Group in search...typed their name, they were there but 5th or 6th down with some totally unrelated links above them. How is the exact name less relevant than garbage? Search has been hosed for a year and just when you think it cannot possibly get worse...it does. Now I don't just have a problem finding products but I can't find specific people, places or groups by name either -
When I first came to SL I met people through events...particularly by taking lots of the free classes. If you look in Search, then Events, there is a drop down tab for categories...like live music and education which were my 2 favorites
-
Search has been broken for a very long time now but some change in early February made it even more useless than it was. At minimum search should be able to provide a directory of people and places when searched by name. Be nice if it provided relevant returns for items too but today would settle for at least finding the shop or person looking for

Undelivered Products ~ What Should I Do?
Lyra Blackthorne replied to Laurence Skytower's topic in Merchants
You could file a ticket with the lab but I havent found that to be helpful The best solution is to copy your transaction onto a notecard with your name and brief explaination of the problem...then pass it to the merchant. Most merchants will respond quickly and make sure you get the product -
Most merchants are very responsive and do offer customer service but just like in RL there are always exceptions
-
There is also a slow animation option in the advanced menu that gives you more time without completely freezing

RE: Money/lindens: If it is a private transaction it is a matter between residents...just as it would be in RL. If money is missing from your account possibly though a hack it is something LL assists with RE: Content theft. There is an report merchants file with LL to have content theft issues resolved. RE: Griefing attacks: Those are typically managed by sim owners. But, there are inworld controls for land to prevent this, so if a resident sets up their land properly there should be little to no problems related to griefing

If you haven't already done so then try this: go to preferences, network tab and then push the clear cache button log out and then reboot your computer. When you log back in sometimes things that were hidden are now back. If it did not appear, Go to your world, account history, and check your transactions for the date of purchase. Copy the transaction for the skin, paste it on a notecard and send to the creator, or the person who your lindens went to. They will likely replace it for you with the proof of purchase....make sure you include your name on the notecad too Good luck!

New and confused about something?
Lyra Blackthorne replied to CoriLuxe1488303201's question in Inventory
sometimes things also disappear if your cache gets too full. try going to preferences, network tab and then push the clear cache button log out and then reboot your computer when you log back in sometimes things that were hidden are now back -
People here have already mentioned the job posting section here in the forums but inworld you could also check the classified ads there are some there too. If you have a specific skill set you could also create a classifed ad (from your profile) to advertise what you do.
