From last we heard which was last month, they said it was a couple of months away.. So hopefully around the end of next month, maybe closer if they were close on what they said.. I think they were ready with the bodies but finishing up on the things that are going to be also coming with it, like clothes and hair and other things.. It sounded like the finishing up stages more than anything.

Ahh Ya, I see what you are saying now.. I had skins on the brain.. hehehe Myself, I'm not much of a fan of a lot of the HD things, because they sit over things I wear.. Although some things are nice in the head huds, like eye shadow and nails on the body hud.. that's about as HD as I get.. hehehe I think Belleza was trying to do something with their body skins on the GenX with the feet kind of being like the ears on an evox head.. There are two versions of the body and there are two types of skins that a GenX can wear.. One for the SLUV maps and one for the custom feet maps or whatever they did with that one. I really can't tell a difference from either body, other than one has nicer feet that the other.. LOL I think they were trying to start something ground breaking. I don't think it caught on like they thought it was gonna.. I sure hope those feet aren't the reason I paid 5500 for that thing.. lol

That's the bad thing about most of the mesh freebies aimed at new users close to them areas they hit after the start zones.. Most are all applier and no bom and out of date.. Even the lucybody needs to get the Bom pack which ends up pulling that out of the freebie market into the BOM world. The only two that I can think of are the genus head and the Rebirth, which Rebirth is really a dollarbie.. I'm probably forgetting something.. But Ya, I'm hoping a lot of those headaches go away when they start,starting off with a Bom body and head from the get go..

Ya we probably won't end up agreeing and that's ok But I just want to say why I have good strong feelings about it.. And less hair.. hehehehe I just recently put myself through the start area to see what it was like nowadays for a new user.. mayeb a couple months back.. I came at it from the perspective that I was brand new.. No cheating by giving myself money, only spend what I made .. no bringing in anything that I already know, not one bit of info from my head... That's viewer features or knowing what a land mark is or how to move or anything at all.. Just a dead blank slate.. The place that my alt was born wasn't even a linden start area, it was some user owned and created start area.. the worst start area I have been to out of all of the ones I have been to.. the lack of information and how fast they wanted to push a new user to that freebie store across the bridge was just silly terrible.. I got some of the basics out of that place, but it really was pushing more to lead me to socialize than to learn anything there. I mean right before the tutorials it has a sign that say's, go right to socialize with others, go left for the tutorials.. Socializing shouldn't have even been an option 30 meters away from the landing point.. Anyways, One of the things I wanted to do as well was, to see how long it would take to put an nice avatar together.. I'm gonna cut it short here and say, after a week, I gave up on it and just had to get back to my regular SL.. there are so many steps just to get to the point of just starting to make an avatar.. If you want to get a good taste of what it's like now.. Give that a try and go in there as a blank slate as if you don't know anything at all.. No search terms or anything at all.. See how much hair you have left at the end of the week.. hehehehe It's really the main reason I really started looking forward to the Nux and thinking it's going to be better than what they are starting with now.. I got a good taste of the frustration and it made me give up.. It will be a long time before I try that again.. hehehehe Also about the appliers.. I believe those have pretty much been dying off since BOM came along.. None will work on the Lelutka Evox heads and I believe the AK advanced heads are all BOM as well.. I haven't really noticed them getting more popular, but really fading out more than anything.. Either way, the nux will be out in a couple of months, so hopefully it does have a good impact and not a bad one I don't mean to come off like it is going to be this or be that.. I'm just hoping hard for it to be a good thing..

It was more meant as, a big part of the hump is now out of the way on the backside to where they can actually put that energy elsewhere into good productive learning about SL at a much more relaxed pace.. Rather than putting it towards first feeling they have to get a usable avatar together.. They can now start from a better place, which saves on a lot of frustration.. Learning to match items with the brands they will work with.. There really isn't much more of a curve added because something is Evo x or not.. There will always be having to learn that, this thing works with or will not work with this body and this head.. Now the newer users of today can tell the Nux avatars users "You think you have it hard? You should have seen what we had to go through before the Nux!! \o/" hehehehe

I'm thinking they are going to be born with the nux on.. I think a lot quit just from the piecing of different mesh brands and everything that goes with that, from collecting them and getting something they can use.. That's a really frustrating process.. They'll have the body, the head and huds and AO, then hair and wardrobe.. So they can at least take their time a little more at learning things and not get overwhelmed with how to work this piece and that piece and how come this piece doesn't work on this head or body.. Just getting passed the hump of something they feel comfy walking around in is a big part of keeping them here or frustrating them right out the door from clumping things together..

Ya, but it might be good to learn that pretty early on though also.. They might also just not bother with it and keep seeing Nux as a learning mesh tool, like it's really meant for..

Unless they are setup like Lelutka and do regular maps and the Evox maps. I would think someone had to think of that, but you never know.. it would be something to bring up for sure.. hehehe

Ya, There are many that think they will wreck it, not realizing that if they click "Save As" rather than " Save", it saves the version you started with.. Quick save or save, might be what some have done and wrecked theirs.. I hate seeing people come into a group kind of panicked thinking they trashed their look because they hit Save.. It's like I can feel their pain and can't get to them fast enough to tell them, drop the box it came in and get another copy of the shape.. New users have so much going on with the curve that I'm supersized it doesn't happen a lot more than it does.. When we started, we just had to learn how to shape and shop and just everything that was SL.. The new users have mesh and everything that goes with that and piece parting everything together and still have to learn everything else we did for the most part.. That Nux can't get here fast enough.. hehehe

Ya, I always tell people to just look for the Evo x, don't worry about the head. They can intermingle.. Once a new head comes out, it's the same thing though.. skinners make skins for that head and the beat goes on.. hehehe The same thing happens with shapes for bodies and heads too.. People think they have to have that shape. Something is wrong with the shape, it's not looking like the picture, How do I fix this? That or I've even heard some say, False advertising.. Mostly newer users though.. hehehe

I think you are meaning Lilly as the temp freebie.. That was the Christmas head back then.. Avalon was one of the three heads that were released right after that at the skin fair as the first Evo x heads.. Lilly is only up on Avalon by a little bit though.. It's splitting hairs when things are as close as they are..hehehe I think it's wild that I could, print a copy of the top 100 mesh heads, close my eyes and put a finger on the list and probably, 9 times out of 10 land my finger on a lelutka.. lol

It's definitely not a dead body by no means.. As I said in my last post, I feel it's right on the cusp of taking off.. In fact it's bumped up two spots on the list.. it got knocked down to 43 last month with around 640 or so wearers, but has jumped up two spots to 41 since then and has gained almost another 100 wearers.. It's always kind of sat in that 630, 640 area.. 100 wearer gain is a good gain and a good sign for a body that has been sitting in the same spot for the past 6 months.. It's doing everything right as far as what a body needs from the creator side itself and more.. It just needs more attention from the 3rd party creators and the existing creators to get it over the hump and make more variety for it to open it up to a wider audience.. Popularity wise, I would put Erika on the B list and Belleza way down trying to get on the letter list.. Belleza split their customers by putting out two bodies. Let alone the high price for it is gonna slow it down even more.. It's a big catch 22 for a body gaining popularity..The key for a body to move up is the amount of users which triggers more creators to create for it.. The sad thing is, a lot of creators get asked if they are going to rig for something and one of the biggest things I hear is, if it gets more popular.. They are a big factor in things getting more popular.. It's not good if a creator say's, I'm waiting on other creators to make it more popular before I start to create things for it. unfortunately, those sitting and waiting on other creators to make something popular, are the ones we need for Erika.. If or once, Erika can trigger those creators, is when it's gonna move up even more..That might take some time still, but it's possible.. Erika is right there knocking at the door.. They just have to knock a little louder to get them out of the bed and answering the door. hehehehe

Ya, the creator behind it, is as on time as it gets..I take that back and do one better.. They are, Ahead of time as it gets.. 3rd party creators really need to start taking a look at this body again and see just how good of a body it is and worth supporting.. Because It's very versatile and dripping at the seams with features.. I'm still not giving up on this body pulling it off and drawing them in at some point.. It's right at the cusp of taking off, it just needs that little bump. It has a lot of creators behind it already.. We just need the wider variety of items and *BOOM!* We're off to the races.. hehehe

I didn't realize until tonight how much the hud has improved with this body.. All the things just in the hud alone.. You have, The squishy bewbies,, The thigh squeezers, The petite waist, The petite bewbies.. All hud based without an attach point used, other than the one for the hud.. That's awesome.. So you buy the body and one of the best prices there is for everything you get and don't have to go buying all those addons, let alone have to wear any of them.. just click a button and go..hehehe I got all excited the moment I heard someone say that in the group.. I had to catch my breath for a moment there.. hehehe

It only seems improved to the ones that show up to riot.. Never to the ones that actually live there.

I think a big reason for there even being a Basic Plus, Is because they want that membership be more focused on to occupying the mainland.. If they made linden homes a perk, then Basic plus members would more than likely just do the linden home and mainland still not be getting populated..

I'll have to look into that one.. I've been using a hud that Dutchie has that you can get.. I got it back before the genus heads had animations for the face.. It's a hud that is already set up to where you can just drop any animations in there.. I was ripping my hair out trying to get the face to do something on my Genus.. Then just went and got it.. The bad thing was those animations back then wereso short and would just end.. The ones i use now loop until I want to change them.. It's a little button size hud and uses a blue dropdown and already setup for really any animations you want to put in there.. I just use it for my face.. I wanted something that wasn't combined with an AO.. I'm gonna look into that one you are talking about though.. I'm always on the look out for things like that too. Thank you

Furniture can be a good place to find facial animated expressions also, for setting up an animated expression hud.. Some will just have face animations in there rather than have them as part of a full animation.. Those are the ones I'm always hunting for. Some are really goofy looking expressions, but some of them can work well with many dances from slow, medium to energetic. I'm always on the lookout for things where we can nab up animated face animations.. It's another hud to wear for that, but if I'm dancing I am gonna take off a lot of the clutter I usually have on when I'm not dancing.. hehehe

Honestly, When I'm looking for poses for pictures I'm gonna take, I just try and get close to what I have in mind. Because they can get costly and take a lot of time to find and really never are exactly what I have pictured for my shots in my mind. Instead of spending a lot of money and time getting poses, I go to the Market Place and just go to animations section, then pose animations section from the left menu options, wait for those to load and set.. Then set my Sort by search to, Low to Highest price, then let that load and set. Then when those are set, I go to the left menu under price and set the price to, 1$L to 500$L and click the refine search button.. Then search for poses that are close to what I have in my mind for my shots.. A lot of the really good creators have a lot of low price poses or gift poses, so you can always jump off and check their store out as well.. Anyways, I'm going to be adjusting my poses in Black Dragons Poser anyways to get everythign set where I want it for the shot I have in my mind.. That or if I'm not in Black Dragon and in like Firestorm or another viewer, I'll use one of these for adjusting my body poses.. Animare Pose & Animation System or Avimote pose maker or AnyPose Animator HUD.. I would demo one of those to make sure what one works best for someone.. Then for the facial expressions, I'll use Lelutkas Axis hud and for the hands and fingers use, FATE Hand Poser HUD. Those the above tools are good for people that can't run black dragon or just don't feel like running it.. I sometimes just like staying in Firestorm for my pics depending on if it's a big setup or just a quicky. I'm really all over the board with who I buy from.. It's more of an, in the moment in my mind thing for me..Because with static poses, I'm the one that is gonna be setting the quality of the pose..So it really doesn't matter how good the starting point is , as long as it's close, where movement animations like dances and other things, it would matter more.

Many could be saving everything they have right now for When Friday does get here.. The Pros are probably gonna make sure they don't jump the gun too early and regret missing out of something really great landing on Friday.. hehehehe I picture Robert Duval and Sean Penn in Colors When He told Pac-man the Bull joke.. hehehe

I'm the same way.. I like relaxing when I shop Where some people you can see them getting amped up for it the closer it gets.. I have too much stuff as it is already and trying to get rid of a lot of it.. I'll probably window shop from Seraphim like always and keep an eye out on something I may want.. But there is not much I can think of that would make me want to get battle store ready.. hehehe

Yes and once we have total control you'll have to call me Momma.. Who's you Momma!? hehehe

I honestly don't understand the huge crowds that show up to the stores.. I mean you can do just as good shopping on line nowadays.. hehehe If i could pick a day out of the year to go away, it would be that one and the wake that comes after it.. After a day of thanks, many are at their worst.

I think it was more sharing how she went about it, like sharing a technique.. There are many that want to help but also want to know good ways of going about it.. That's what it felt like being presented as to me.. I'm always up for learning how someone else does it, because it's easy to miss some steps or learn some new one.
