Probably a good idea. I was following general recommendations from health authorities here. That said I have been cutting back on supplements and adjusting diet instead. For one thing supplements are expensive and for another, I like eggs and fish.

I didnt read all the convo leading up, but happened to see this - yes there is plenty of sun but people prefer to stay out of it as much as possible. So vit d deficiency may be a factor - impossible to say without testing. I take vit d - not likely to do any harm in a low dose and it may do some good. Maybe it just helps me feel better to do something. One thing severely affecting the crisis in India is high rate of diabetes 😔

My spouse and I got our first jab last Friday. Ouch arm lasted about 2 days, and had little bit of joint pain and low fever that lasted less than a day. We're in our 50s so probably thats a middling immune response. All excited to see what second dose does 😅

I send out a note praising people for good behaviour (I'm specific about what I mean by good behaviour). The guilty party generally catches on and either reforms or leaves of his/her own accord. Perhaps it's the uncertainty of exactly how much I know that scares them. 😏

I live in a very safe country too. That's not really the point for me. If I wanted to be really under the radar I wouldn't post on forums, and I've mentioned things about my rl which I don't mind sharing, relevant to the conversation, and short of anything that would lead someone to my rl door. But to my thinking, why give the world my phone number, unless I actually want to hear from the world? If I meet someone I want to be friends with, I'll happily share. On the flip side, why would I care what those who don't want to be friends with me think of me? I get what you're saying tho, when you take away the anonymity, people do tend to be less hostile. Not sure that will work if it's one-sided, but, I wish you luck.
