I realise that it wasn't an update as such and, for that reason I am not surprised that a lot of clothes don't fit the as well as they used to with V5.3. For me, this is the reason I'm not going to use Lara X. I don't personally see the need to change as, for me, Lara X doesn't seem to be any better than V5.3, at least not the way I use SL. Also, I have rather specific tastes in clothing, and it might be a long time before the clothes I wear are available in quantity in a form that would suit Lara X.

Well, I tried Lara X today and I can't say that I liked it. I preferred the way my body was shaped with Lara V5.3, although I could adjust it a bit to get it looking the way it was before, I suppose. Yes, I'm another SL resident who is short at a realistic 5' 2" (the same as my height in RL) and skinny. As for the rather prominent Dimples of Venus, that's not a deal breaker for me. I'm very rarely naked in SL anyway. I did find though, that a lot of my clothes didn't fit properly. One of my jackets even had my arms at a different angle away from my body than the sleeves! It fitted properly before. As I can't see any improvements, but I can see quite a few problems, I changed back to Lara V5.3. I don't think I'll bother trying Lara X again. I suppose the one good thing is that I didn't pay to get it.......

The one thing I noticed was that there are only so many times you can manipulate the images before strange things start happening, like growing a third leg or a second head. One amusing thing was that, when I added "bikini" as a prompt or whatever they call it, my boobs doubled in size for every second image.........

And yes, those Dimples of Venus look rather exaggerated to say the least. I'll have to look at my back in the mirror tomorrow morning before I have my shower to remind me of what RL ones look like - I can't say that they're something I look at every day.

I just got mine via redelivery on the old Lara's HUD. As soon as I put the body on part of my dress disappeared, so I took the LaraX body off again and will try it all out next time I log in, as I don't have time to do anything with it now.........

I started with an old picture of myself (I have adjusted my appearance slightly since then, mainly by fixing some issues with my skin, but I digress). The image I used was a close up from a larger image so it is, as you can see, a bit pixellated. Here are some of the variations I was able to come up with:

Model Identifier: iMac14,1 Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Core i5 Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 6 MB Memory: 8 GB Unfortunately there is one model of iMac where you can't upgrade the memory, and guess which one I've got........ I don’t care for the official SL viewer, so I started using Firestorm, mainly because so many others were using it, but I found it ridiculously laggy, sometimes to the point where I started moving in delayed jerks rather than walking or dancing or whatever. I tried a number of other viewers (there aren’t that many for Macs compared to PCs, so it didn’t take a ridiculous length of time to try them out). A couple were supposedly less resource hungry that Firestorm, so should have run quicker, but I didn’t notice any difference. I ended up settling on a viewer called Singularity, which I found gave me the best results on my poor old machine, although in some really busy places I have to turn the graphics down as low as they can go at times. Someone told me that the people who came up with Singularity aren’t issuing any more upgrades, but that doesn’t bother me as long as it keeps working.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen anything about this "viewer" other than in this thread. Now I know.

I just found this lovely dress (with matching shoes) at Cog & Fleur. Makes a bit of a change from my other outfits.
