  1. Carole, Je pense vousetes RUBIShat being Fronch et vous shouldez give the bugger up tout suis...innit
  2. I used to really like your dance place Dilbert but I feel watched if I go there now, so I don't go. People really aren't that interested in tracking down your history you know. Nearly 3 years in and no one gives a toss.
  3. Void, there are few here as helpful as you. I look up to you in that respect and help wherever I feel qualified, but you are a help legend, no doubt. On the down side, I don't even know what nationality you are, or what language is your first, but, as an English educated person I can assure you that I can speak bugger all languages, but I can kind of read and understand French. The French have words like le weekend and we have breakfast in a cafe...but we pronounce it caff. Please don't even get me started on what chips are! Rude and obnoxious is what I think your reaction was IMO. You could have turned off, muted, ignored as you often advise. I still don't understand. It saddens me though because I like your posts.
  4. Venus of all the people I have re-seen since I ventured back you are the biggest surprise. What happened to ending every post with "Peace"? I'm beginning to wonder what I missed that was so epic it turned my previous favourite posters into my OMG why did you do that posters.

  6. Carole....*smiley sigh*. I am a barbie in SL. A stylish, always in white one though I'll have you know! I do find the whole looks thing funny though. I have been asked not to wear wings, because...why are you wearing wings? Ermmm....why not? Who wouldn't want super-pretty working wings? DUH! Obviously, Carole fell through the fugly tree onto a bed of nails, but she is still beautiful. SL is a deceitful and hurt inducing weapon of choice as a dating site. There are too many ways not to be yourself. That's the idea. It's a SECOND life, not an extension of the first. People roleplay romance here. They lie about themselves, they have five husbands/wives and none of them know about the others....I could go on. Use plentyoffish or something to find a kindred spirit and treat SL for what it is. A creative playground and a really good laugh.

This made me a bit bitey (sorry), but $2 is actually a significant factor in their weekly budget for some people. I don't want to hear that stuff about oh well they can afford the internet blah blah blah either. Alcoholics can afford alcohol. Smokers can afford ciggies and lardarses can afford pies. We're only human.
  8. Edited: Meant for another of Linda's posts and moved there
  9. I'm nipping outside for a **bleep**. Anyone coming? hahaha it bleeped f.a.g.... alrighty then, a tab
  10. Carole Franizzi wrote: Dillon Levenque wrote: :-). Since this thread is in fact in total derailment I'll take the derailment further. TY for the advice in a thread that has now been locked, and in which I posted something I actually did think would be helpful (ty Carole, too; you commented on said post). As for disagreement, I've never tolerated that from anyone, nor should any forumite. Even a HINT of a raised eyebrow should invite a duel to the death, as you suggest :-D. BTW, I'm pretty sure I heard that Carole has walked through the fire. It can change a person. Didn't change me, but I've heard some people are more sensitive to the flame. They make me look like a young Catherine Deneuve. What? Like you haven't learned how to resize hair? OMG you DO look like her p.s. *grunts from the effort of chanelling any pedant in the nearby vicinity* Thanks edited to add: Forgot the blummin pic like a total div.
  11. Void, I honestly think there are worse things to rail against than me and Carole making each other smile in what has become a backwater thread. I don't understand your reason for being upset about it
  12. OH! MON! DIEU! Mais, personne ne expectez le Inquisition d'Espanole!
  13. And anyway, I can't speak Fench very well. This is all Google translate and other rubbish.
  14. Meh. I've seen far more obnoxious thinds said in English Void. We are playing "sitcoms" in Franglais. It's not harming anyone and Rotpaulette is probably wetting herself at how bad we *ahem* intentionally are. Last time I looked, French was not a code.
  15. Je travaille pour le ministère de daft promenades. Pouquoi?
  16. I wish I knew who mine was. She was my angel on my first day. I've thought about this and I reckon it has to be Dino Moleno. We've been friends almost since day one, even though I knew he was older than me, but he taught me not to be frightened of building. When we first met, he let me modify a building he'd created. He gave me full rights and I clicked something and it all collapsed. I spent the whole day trying to fix that before he came online lol. Without Dino's patience, I wouldn't still be messing around in here trying to find my forte, and having great fun doing so.
  17. Clothes are usually a mixture of two things. System layers - your shirt, pants, underpants layer etc.. These clothes are created by drawing them in programs like Photoshop or GIMP. Prim and sculpty (and now mesh) attachments. These are the parts of your clothing that are little yellow boxes in the outfit folder. These are made of either a collection of prims, sculpties, mesh objects, or a combination of them. They are harder to make I think, but you can buy ready made templates for nearly everything and just put them together if you want to start somewhere simple and play. Google for Eloh Eliot skins. They are wonderful, free and a great way to start playing with textures. GIMP is a free download for manipulating graphics and there are loads of tutorials on youtube. Just search secondlife clothing and go from there It seems daunting to begin with but making clothes, even if only for yourself, is really good fun. I should know, I'm crap at it but I carry on anyway
  18. Oui Mais, non mais, oui mais, non mais.. ce n'était pas moi or nuffin
  19. Pardonez Moi pour ma cheek la missus, but vous avez un tres grand derriere. Oui. C'est Vrai. )
  20. If you are the owner of the group you can untick the pay liabilities option to the other group members in the roles tab, but if you are not an owner, the group funds are distributed evenly among the members of the group. I don't think you can take the rights from ohter owners though so it would be split among the owners?
