  1. It's the hairbase/eyebrow attachment. If you've never seen it before, you're probably using a different one to the one you're used to not seeing. Usually, wearing an alpha layer for a mesh head/body will hide it.
  2. Karen: "My Linden Home parcel contains no landscaping, no water, no sound effects, no scripts, no media stream, no parcel security, no theme and no house! It's outrageous! Zero Stars!" Response: "The parcel you claim to have "bought" is a public sandbox. You have not bought a Linden Home."
  3. Why do Log houses have to be on the ground? Why not live up in the trees there? ^ Call it the "Kashyyyk"... 😜 ^ Interior.
  4. Nine new regions are now visible on the World Map in northeast Ranch, forming more new coastline. Ranch names: Kersplash, SSPPrimrose Path, Wishy Washy, Mudpie, Swamp Grass, Seaweed, SSPWoodwind Section, Crab Puff, Shipyard.
  5. My Bat Boat can't swim underwater. So naturally, I use a car instead. 😎
  6. My Bat Boat can't swim underwater. So naturally, I use a car instead. 😎 *Oops sorry, wrong thread!*
  7. ^ Sansar's name plaque was still on LL's Battery Street building in 2022. I wonder if it's still there now?
  8. There is one regular "resident" of Ahern who for years, never stands on the ground there and always hovers above it. And no, I don't know why. Did you also know Ahern, Dore, Bonifacio and Morris still have identical twins on the Beta "Aditi" grid? There, the four sims exist as their own "island" surrounded by a void of missing sim regions.
  9. If it's a shop advertisement, then ask the shop owner or service staff about the model and model's hair.
  10. Diamond, you're 1000% mistaken. I was rezzing my Bat Boat from that exact same boat rez zone weeks ago. That boat rez zone was put in around the same time as that train station in the background was. You requested for Abnor to put in a boat rez zone for Mediterranean's southern shoreline. Look at how lush and green the grass is there in your photo. Look at the Ranch style houses in the background. Look at the train station. There aren't any train stations in Mediterranean yet. That's because you're standing in Goodge Reef (Ranch), not Typhoon (Mediterranean). You're in the wrong sim and on the wrong side of the bridge!
  11. That's been there for weeks, Diamond. Now you're mistaken too.
  12. You're mistaken. That was NOT my request, the request for a boat rez zone in south Mediterranean was Diamond Marchant's. My request was a different one, to build a road tunnel or bridge between Old Belli and southern Sansara.
  13. People have been saying "SL is dying" for three decades now, yet here we still are. There was an SL v2.0, it was called Sansar and launched in 2017. Because SL inventories couldn't be transferred to Sansar, that it required a minimum of 8GB RAM and that their was a perception that an expensive VR headset was required, almost no one from SL left to use it, so it bombed. Support was dropped for Sansar by LL and was later sold off in 2020 as an entirely separate thing.
  14. Clayton Ravine... "Great Scott!" 😲
  15. How many logs could a logging logger log, if a logging logger couldn't log a log-in in? 😜
  16. @Modulated, @Love Zhaoying Luna wasn't always a shopping mall and didn't always used to be where it is now. Back in 2003, Luna and a sister sim called Coney both used to be parts of a theme park called Linden World. Both Luna and Coney were named after well known theme parks in the US. Linden World theme park had rides and attractions built by the earliest SL residents, the most famous ride being a dark ride (or "Ghost Train" as they're called in England) by Sinatra Cartier called the Spook House. You might have seen advertisements for the Spook House on advertising billboards in the oldest parts of the Sansara continent. The Spook House can still be visited if you search for Sinatra Cartiers profile picks. As weeks and months went on, the crowds going to Linden World decreased and it was decided to combine the theme park into one sim and use one of the two sims as a Linden shopping mall. Luna was chosen to become this mall and was moved slightly south to it's present day position and became part of what was called Luna Oaks shopping mall. Eventually, the Linden World theme park was closed and the remaining sim Coney was deleted from the map leaving a void. But in March 2004, a new city was built over the top of where Linden World theme park once was. That city was named Nova Albion. Nova Albion's Grignano sim sits exactly where Luna originally used to be and Miramare stands where Coney once was. If you walk Route 66 east over the roadbridge into Dore and Ahern, you will find traces of the old Linden World theme park, dozens of tall decorative stone pillars used to line the roadside into the themepark there and a couple of the pillars still survive and remain upright there today. ^ Linden World theme park entrance as seen from the road in Dore in the Autumn of 2003. Over the bridge were Luna (left) and Coney (right). The diamond shaped thing floating in the air is a Telehub, which predates landmarks and direct teleporting! ^ Same location in Dore, on 1st February 2024. Luna was moved away, replaced by Grignano (left) in March 2004. Coney was deleted and replaced by Miramare (right) also in March 2004. Grigano and Miramare form parts of the Nova Albion city which sits where Linden World theme park used to be. ^ Still in Dore, looking east up to Ahern. Two surviving towers are all that remains of Linden World theme park.
  17. There is a way of speeding that up. Open a folder of stuff. Left-click the top item in the folder's list of stuff, then it should become highlighted. Then find the last item at the bottom of the folder list and then hold SHIFT + left-click that bottom item. All the items in that folder should now become highlighted and will act as one group of items. You can drag that entire group of highlighted items from out of the folder into a prim contents tab, or another inventory folder if you prefer. It's easier to have the prim content tab window open beforehand before dragging the group. To cancel the group, left click any item in the folder list. Be sure to NOT have more than 256 items highlighted in that group, because they won't all fit into a prim content tab. You can also reverse the procedure from prim content tab back to inventory folder too.
  18. No. Prim box Contents tabs act AS folders. You can add prims and other items inside prims. But actual folders that you have in your Inventory you can't, they aren't physical "things", they only exist in the inventory. Oddly, you can store other non-rezzable things like textures, sounds, scripts, notecards, legacy hairbases, shoebases, eyes and clothing layers in a prim Contents tab. Which is weird. Each prim has a Contents tab which can take up to 256 items. So theoretically, you could store 256 prim cubes inside one prim cube and each of those stored 256 prim cubes could also store another 256 prim cubes inside themselves too! And so on and so on... It's very advisable to write and keep notecards of what you've put into certain prim's contents too, so you can keep track of what's being stored and where. 1400 items can be stored inside 6 prims with space to spare. Then you could store those 6 prims inside one more prim. And that one prim will have all your 1400 items. Guard it well!!!
  19. From my experience, lines like those are sometimes caused by texture makers who aren't careful about tidying up their texturing and leaving "dirty" or gradient parts around the edges of the texture, which when worn look worse when the occupy the edges of default clothing layers of original bodies. If you're wearing a mesh body, it might also be a lagged section of the body which isn't displaying texture shine/bump mapping properly, a bit like the same problem some people with mesh heads and bodys get with their necks. Go to a quiet sim, in a corner, at a high altitude (facing outwards to the sim border) and see if it clears up after replacing outfits. If all else fails, try an Avatar Test (Avatar> Avatar Health > Avatar Test), to restore your avatar back to default noob, then replace your outfit/look to normal appearance.
  20. If it's any help to you, the Scion was the name of an ancient Atlantis artifact that Lara Croft sought in her very first Tomb Raider videogame in 1996.
  21. Ahern was one of SL's earliest Welcome Hub style sims (known at the time as a Welcome Area), set up by the Lindens in 2003. It's located just to the west of SL's most oldest sim regions. One of Ahern's corners was used in conjunction with three other neighbouring sim corners (Morris, Bonifacio, Dore) as an open mic high capacity chat arena, until voice was turned off there a couple of years ago to prevent arguments, trolling, griefing and other offences. To the west of Ahern is Dore, which features the impressive Yamato building with a walkthrough Welcome Hub style tutorial. (To the west of Dore over the bridge is a group of sims that form the Nova Albion community. There is a long straight road with a tram line. This road is called Route 66 and goes west all the way through Bay City to the very western edge of the mainland.) To the east of Ahern is Lusk and the Luskwood community. Lusk also has the Americana Arch memorial. (Americana were a group of early builders who in August and September of 2003 were very influential in their goal of achieving free rezzing for all in SL without a mandatory weekly LL taxation (people used to pack away their rezzed prims the day before the weekly Tax Day calculation to avoid the tax fee!). Without Americana, we might all still have weekly "prim taxes" to pay! Americana achieved their goal by withdrawing their impressive and attractive builds that Linden Lab liked to highlight as destinations to promote SL. Americana's actions were kind of a mutinous against SL taxation, a tactic which worked. Linden Labs conceded defeat and land parcels were invented as a way to fund SL instead.) Ahern's southern neighbour Morris has public sandboxes and some historic relics from SL's earliest days. (To the south of Morris is Oak Grove, which features SL's oldest cowboy town, which has been restored by it's original builders and Moles. (Further south is Balance, the Vehicle Testing Sandbox, where one may build or test drive a vehicle.) To the east of Morris is Rizal, which has a small amusement park with a lake.) That whole west part of Sansara continent is a treasure trove of SL history and is a place I'm very fond of.
  22. A big contrast since 15th June 2023, when the area was still a void.
  23. Ten new regions have been added to the map. Three at the northwest of Ranch and seven on the east side of Mediterranean. Ranch (3): Idlewood Station, Oblong, Lightfoot Passage. Mediterranean (7): Desalmuerzo, Latte Paradiso, Piaf, Ruscello, Castello Stregone, Lago Tortuga, Parc de Chenes.
