  1. I would think that this HUD, which is a favorite of mine to use on Mainland, would do the trick. You can locate parcels owned by Governor Linden (or whatever name is on available homes; I forget) with it. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ti-Land-Survey-HUD/6775289
  2. Apparently we were just supposed to sit here and applaud, not have the audacity to reply or *gasp* disagree.
  3. I don't see the point of this announcement other than to attempt to shame someone for how they spend their money. It seems like there might be a hidden agenda when someone who who is in the business of buying and selling SL land points the finger at someone else for buying a parcel. Maybe they also bid on the parcel and are bitter about not winning the auction? Maybe a rival land seller did win? (No, I'm not the winner of the auction, nor was I a participant.)
  4. I wanted to put a laugh reaction on that last sentence, but the rest is good info so I refrained. (But...d'oh! lol)
  5. I know of one in Bay City who does that for esthetic purposes, to keep the area from looking chopped up. They've used the same method elsewhere in Mainland for areas they want to stay looking nice. Of course, what seems to happen is that the parcels just sit there unsold for ages because most people do not want to buy a huge chunk of land like that.
  6. Oh that's no good! I'm glad I haven't re-rezzed my Winchester because that definitely affects options when it comes to decorating that upstairs room.
  7. If you share the solution here, it will help others who have the same problem in the future.
  8. Houseboats in Noah are being claimed very quickly, so hurry if you want one! (Hopefully someone will drop a few of them later...)
  9. This thread is a couple of years old, but at least some (if not all) of the info in it should still be valid:
  10. I will be releasing this really nice Trad any minute now. It has an impressively long entrance featuring plenty of steps, a little Mole-owned table and chairs in front, lovely flowers/rocks/landscaping, and just over the rise in back, a large pond with dock, seating, etc. Cool spot for someone looking for a Trad! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Axim/141/55/30
  11. Yes, if you join two parcels, they then become one and have just one set of permissions. If you are still wanting a sandbox that has its own set of perms, you need to leave the parcels divided. As long as they are both in the same region and have the same owner, they can still share LI if that's a concern.
  12. Just took the alt for a run through LP again, and caught and released 3 more houseboats. None are duplicates of the ones from yesterday, so now is the time if you've been looking for one.
  13. It's been a long time since I've tried messing with TP routing, but (assuming they are wearing the group tag when they try), it may be that they actually have to click twice to get to their destination. The first time brings them into the region, and the second to their desired spot. At least, that's how I remember it, and it makes no sense but I never found a way to get around it.
  14. If anyone is looking for a houseboat, my alt just caught and released three very decent ones, so this is a good time to try for one!
  15. I agree with this and I ignore ads once I see that the seller wants to force me to log on and go to the parcel just to get basic info. There is plenty of great Mainland for sale (I should know, I buy enough of it), so I just buy elsewhere. It's not a matter of "too much effort" (a veiled insult, really), it's a matter of whether the seller respects the potential buyers' time.
  16. You might want to post in one of the topics here: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/367-wanted/
  17. I don't think Caledon Oxbridge offers a land class these days.
  18. I agree with @Qie Niangao's take on this. What's even more interesting is that the parcels aren't set for sale to you for $0, since your transaction history shows you have already paid for them. Doing it like shown here only makes sense if the money had been refunded to you.
