Was the land deeded to a group and did you go to group info (land tab) and remove your group contribution after the land was sold? Did you sell the land after June 17th? If you sold after the 17th, even by one day, your peak usuage for the month will still be the total of the land & you will be charged for that month. If you did not remove a group contribution, you will be charged for that. Check on your Account Summary on your dashboard, to make sure that your peak usage is now 0sqm and that your next tier date says nothing is payable.

Click "Page down" & see if that fixes it. On some viewers you can set page down to toggle crouch & if you have that selected you could just be getting stuck in a crouch anim. The other thing to make sure is that you are on level ground, because legs do weird things when you stop moving on a slope.

The deeding part is just so that the receiver can change the URL on the media tab in about land. Sometimes they say the URL in chat that they are trying to set, so you can just copy paste that yourself into the media tab & it will have the same effect. The texture should be the texture that is on the TV screen, you put that onto the little box on the media tab & it will play the stream that is running on the URL on anything that has that texture on it, in this case, your TV screen.

If the account still shows up on search just go to https:.//support.secondlife.com/create-case/ & submit the ticket called "SL Web Login Issues" (without logging in on any account). If the name no longer comes up in search, do the same thing except choose the ticket called "Reactivate an old account"

Knowing their system info, viewer &what happened to trigger their current problem would be great, though I don`t hold out much hope of that happening as there is already instructions asking for that info which they ignore & half the time they don`t even tell us what error messages they are getting (if any). In general, if the Answers section ever gets fixed so that OP`s can reply to us and give more info when requested that would, by far, be the most helpful thing.

The permissions bug was related to the ability to grant or revoke abilities to a friend to see you online, map you or edit your objects, it wasn`t related to object permissions. Its hard to comment on whether or not your test results are expected behaviour, because it is not clear if the object permissions you are talking about are for the current owner or next owner. For example, if I create a prim that has no transfer perms for the next owner, someone with my perms should be able to take it, but they can`t give it back. However, if I own a prim that is no transfer, some with my perms can`t even take it.

You can change up to 5 times an hour so you should be able to get another one an hour after the first one you replaced. There are about 4 or 5 2 storey ones on Meadowbrook, but they do show up on the selection less often than the single storey ones. If you are sure thats the one you want, then the easiest way is to go to the selection page & just keep refreshing it until one appears on there. I refreshed the page about every 10 mins & it took me 4 hours to get a Grayson, though its possible it would have been less time if I had sat there just clicking refresh, but thats a bit like watching paint dry lol

Strange that clearing the AppData folders didn`t fix it, that is usually all it takes when you ge that error suddenly without changing anything. It sounds like it didnt` start after a viewer update or anything correct? There are folders in both Local & Roaming on Windows 7, so make sure you got rid of them both & rebooted. If you did already find both, see if you get the same error on another viewer. Firestorm is a good one to test with if you haven`t used it before, because it installs to a different location.

I agree, if its possible to leave a thread, even if its a controversial topic, that is definately the better option. Its a fine line between moderation & censorship and I think the mods have made great progress in the right direction compared to when these forums opened. I hope they aren`t slipping back to censorship just because its sometimes easier than keeping an eye on a sensitive thread that could keep getting derailied. Your suggestion of removing the offensive posts and locking the thread seems a good compromise to me.

Some of the WAs have a cult following going back years, even now if I go to Ahern I see the same old faces that were there back in 2006, I wouldn`t support any vote to close them, too much stuff from SL history is already being trampled on IMO. I do agree that better use could be made of them, as they aren`t always very welcoming.

@ Conner, I think it depends on the type of card & whether or not your reside in the US. AFAIK some pre-paid cards that have your name on them are still accepted & even if you are currently using a payment method that is no longer accepted, LL will not stop you using it until you try to update or change it.

What viewer are you using? I have looked on the official LL viewer, on Phoenix & on Firestorm & I do not see "Resident" appearing on tags. All it shows is the single username & a display name if there is one set.

If I have reported posts, it is just those posts & any quoting them, that I have seen deleted. I haven`t noticed whole threads disappearing, except where it is the OP that is the problem, so I can`t say that I think anything was done wrong there. But I also only see a fraction of the posts on the forums so it is quite possible it happens all the time and I just don`t notice. I think when it was raised before about confusing modding, that Genn Moderator said it was ok to PM them to ask what is going on if you do not understand why certain things were pulled. So I would suggest at least giving that a go & see if you get a satisfactory response.

You must have got the warning asking you if you are sure that you want to sell for 0L to "anyone" & that is exactly what you did. What you should have done is sell it to a specific person & named them, that is the only way to avoid a bot coming in & buying it as bargain of the day. The chances are that the bot that bought it is owned by a land dealer & it will be up for sale again soon. You can try contacting the seller when it does get put for sale & explaining that it was a mistake, they may give it back, but they haven`t done anything wrong & are not obliged to return it to you. Or you could just buy it back & chalk it up to experience. You are not the first or last person that will learn that the hard way, be glad that it was a small plot and not half a sim.
