  2. When you first start to trade on Lindex, you have trading limits for the first month. You can see the limits here https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/describe-limits.php?
  3. If you have an alt account, see if you can login with that one & if you can, it may be the active group tag that your other account is wearing that is causing the problem. If you do not know what tag you are wearing, you can login on the beta grid & check it there. You should have a dropdown menu on your login screen to choose which grid to use, it will either say, second life/second life beta or Agni/Aditi. If the option isn`t showing click Ctrl + Shift + G to un-hide it. Once you know what tag you have on, you will need to find a way to either change what it says or get yourself kicked out of the group to remove it. This will depend on if its your own group or someone else`s & you can use your alt to login & ask the group owner to kick your account out of the group if necessary.
  4. It is possible that the computer was banned by mistake, if you are a premium member speak to LIveChat & if that is the case they will sort it out quickly. Otherwise you will need to submit a ticket on https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
  5. Hi Patrick, If you are not happy with your purchase, you need to contact the seller.
  6. $295 a month is the cost of the tier fee for a private estate, so I assume that you own a sim. Your Account History https://secondlife.com/my/account/history.php? shows US$ transactions on your account, but it only shows the last 45 days, you need to take regular copies if you wish to keep a record.

Couldbe Yue wrote: I don't understand why one comment on making life easier for newbies has put such a bee in the bonnet of a couple of you but why should they have to learn if it's not necessary? It's only necessary at the moment because server based deliveries require it. If people want to use server based that's their choice but they don't have a right to foist it on others because they choose the easy option for them to distribute their stuff. Not necessary to learn how to open a box? Its a fundamental function of SL which they will encounter everywhere they go. Most of them probably learnt it from getting a freebie box somewhere before they ever went to the marketplace.

Soft Linden's suggestion for forum discussion is clearly aimed at the people that commented OT on the JIRA. Sorry, what's being advertised by whom ? And are you suggesting JIRA's can't be mentioned on the forum even when requested by a Linden ? Thats not what I said at all, Soft`s comment on that JIRA is directed at all the off topic comments posted there, telling them to go discuss it on the forum if they want to. Just my opinion, maybe you read it differently.
  10. Hard to say without seeing your script, but a basic hovertext script is: default { state_entry() { llSetText("YOUR TEXT HERE", <0.0,1.0,0.0>, 1); } }
  11. Let me guess, you "accidentally" said you were under 18. Its amazing how often that happens & how they all seem to notice after they get inworld and realise they are restricted to General rated areas. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, you can go to age verifcation on your dashboard & fix it there, but I wouldn`t bother lying because you will just end up banned at some point and by then you will have invested time & money in your account.
  12. You look gorgeous as ever Nyll, but whats with that MASSIVE couch? Or did you shrink? @ Irene, welcome back, you were missed!!

  14. Lasher Oh wrote: Good succinct explanation Toy, that is exactly how I understand the proposed change as well. When the Direct Delivery idea was first mooted a year or so ago I thought then it was simply just a case of placing the packs we already have in our magic boxes into a new dedicated folder. Which would then send the item direct without the need for a third party not so Magic Script to clog up the works during lag storms. Simple easy done no fuss no bother - carry on trading as normal. I WAS all for it! But then someone in their infinite stupidity thought that it would be a cute idea if we just deliver our customers already opened folders. Thus denying them the handy and important pop-up notecards we include and doing away with all those nicely crafted boxes and packaging that made so much difference to brand presentation. That for me is like handing over a birthday or Christmas present without any wrapping yeeeeeeuch! how tacky is that! I'll give the commerce team top marks for consistency though. Ever since LL aquired and created their marketplace monopoly, they have periodically forced us down the road of perpetual time wasting revisions and alterations to our listings. But then as Couldbe said in her post LL are "not in the business of making life easy for us" ^L^ Correct, LL are not in the business of making life easier for "us", they have proved over and over in the last couple of years that their only interest is to make life easier for noobs. The continual dumbing down of SL, desperately trying to identify what it is that makes noobs register and leave instead of staying in SL. How many people do you know that left SL because they couldn`t open a box????? Yet, LL seem to think that this is a crucial problem that needed fixing. It is as inspired as Basic Mode. One day LL might try asking residents that have stayed in LL what it was that made them stay, instead of keep trying to guess at what makes noobs leave. If SL was appealing enough, new users would be motivated to work out the details of how to do stuff, just like we did. Afterall it is supposed to be a world for adults, they do all these changes to make things eaiser to learn & then wonder why we have 12 year olds on the grid. lol
  15. Couldbe Yue wrote: The only comment I'd make is that as a consumer I detest full regions that have every keyword under the sun. Yes, they may actually sell these things but there's only one landing point and the stuff could be anywhere. When I land in places like they I leave rather than go hunting. I agree with you about the misuse of keywords, though the keywords I meant was the ones I was typing into search. It seems that the system now searches for every listing that any of variation of each of the words and throws them all up whether they are relevant to what you are looking for or not. In the same way that was mentioned earlier, animations and animated are 2 completely different things & are not just alternate spellings. If there are listings that have an exact match to the keyword combo that you type in, those are the ones that should appear at the top of the list & all the variations can be listed after that. The old system was far from perfect but it did at least get that part right.
  16. She IM`d me on her alt. After checking on the beta grid what tag her avvie was wearing, it wasnt` a weird one, just SL Building Student, so we actually dismissed that as a cause. But after trying all other fixes, I suggested using her alt to get the account kicked out of that group anyway, just to see & voila she got back in right away....Strange eh? So make a note that tags don`t have to just have unusual characters in them to cause this problem, it could be any tag.
  17. It could be an emoter hud or even a singing one that you have forgotten to switch off - Check what you are wearing on your "worn" tab. There is also a bug that makes avatars look to some people like they have their mouth open, when they look normal to others, so if you are 100% sure it is not a HUD, then just relog and see if that fixes it.
  18. Firestorm has a radar, it is on your Nearby tab in the People window. They just tell you who is around & how far away from you they are, up to 4096m. It is no more snooping than seeing green dots on your map or mini-map, it just gives you more information about who the dots belong to.
  19. Fixed inworld - It was a group tag issue - Welcome back Pllnia
  20. Lyra Blackthorne wrote: Wow that will totally mess up my inventory I do not have 1000's of items but I do have 100's and each product has multiple components 7-12. Today once a product is created and boxed I save the box only and delete the individual components as I really have no need to access them. Keep boxes of completed products in a total of just 4 folders named by product lines.. This change would mean adding 300+ folders to my inventory which would be so ugly. It will be even worse if the folder cannot hold just a single box....having to keep the loose components to each product would add 3000 or so items to my inventory load. > groan. Sounds like another wonderful idea from someone who has never lived in our world. It won`t add any load to your inventory, because the stuff doesn`t stay in the folder, it gets sent to the marketplace & disappears from the Outbox folder. You also wouldn`t need to "make" folders for anything. You can put stuff into the Outbox exactly as you have it in your Magic Box if you want to & it will get delivered to your customers the same as it is now. The option to put stuff in a folder instead of boxing it, is just that, an option, so that customers don`t have to find somewhere to rezz & unpack stuff.
  21. Don`t their names show on Radar? Could be Lindens

Several residents talked with Durian Linden in-world during SLCC about Viewer 2 and the changes we'd like. He seemed to agree with many of the comments. Linden Lab said during SLCC that they are working on combining the basic & advanced user interfaces into a single UI and that they've heard us about the sidebar. (See http://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2011/08/slcc-product-team-panel-highlights.html). I don't expect much to change until mesh has been dealt with, but I do hope (for the first time) that LL will fix Viewer 2's UI. IMO, they'd do well to start by incorporating Firestorm's code. I like to be able to customize the viewer. hahaha...combining basic & advanced because basic was up there with the top 5 fails of the last year, so that just puts them back with the crappy viewer they had before the added basic. As for the sidebar, the vast majority of users have been against that since day 1, did they listen? NO, its only now because Rodvik finally says he doesn`t like it & all of a sudden they are working on getting rid of it. So excuse me for not feeling like LL give a damn about residents opinions, it would appear you need to become the CEO to get heard. Kudos to the Firestorm developers for actually listening to what the users want.
