  1. It's like the rebake problem - what works for one person, may not always work for another. Good thing we can come here and pool our knowledge.
  2. Thanks for the feedback, that's helpful too. :cathappy:
  3. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Tyra You need to join the Second Life Flickr group and add photos to it. Here's the link... http://www.flickr.com/groups/secondlife/
  4. Welcome to Second Life Forums. Please take a look at this other thread, which may have the answer for you... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Your-Avatar/My-Avatar-is-two-colors-top-pink-color-and-bottom-tan-Can-t-buy/m-p/1554453/message-uid/1554453#U1554453 Can you both confirm which type of graphics card you are using - this information will help determine possible cause of this issue.
  5. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Lyric It sounds like you have the same problem as this other forum poster had a few days ago. Hopefully something in the thread will help you... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Your-Avatar/My-Avatar-is-two-colors-top-pink-color-and-bottom-tan-Can-t-buy/m-p/1554453/message-uid/1554453#U1554453 If you need to add more to this thread, please do so by clicking in "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit" to write more on your post.
  6. I'm afraid you do see this happen on internet auction websites. There are even 3rd party websites that will do the bidding on a person's behalf for a commission (not for Second Life though as far as I know). While it may be seen as bad sportsmanship to usurp someone bidding on an auction like this, it happens often. Sod's law that you should lose your internet connection so close to the end. Maybe it wasn't really the PERFECT parcel of land for you and your friends. Have you looked around the mainland at all the yellow shaded parcels there are of different shapes and sizes? Some are selling for as little as .3L$ per sq.m.

Meow :cathappy: Well there was one BBC news reader lady who, on live TV broacast, accidentally referred a lion to be "a nice puƨƨy". She paused for a second, bursted in laughter and quickly corrected "I mean puƨƨycat, puƨƨycat". :matte-motes-big-grin: Haha! I don't remember that particular BBC blunder, so I went to youtube. Didn't find it there either, but did find something about tax c**ts (could they have meant tax cats?). Meow :catembarrassed: Oh and I also found this... ... which made me LOL
  8. Hello mebaron, please click on "options" at the top right hand corner of your post and "edit". To upload a photo of your problem, click on that little icon that looks like a tree at the top of your text window. We'll be able to advise you further then.
  9. I was looking for a different set of photos to compare SL me to RL me, but anyway, found these, in which you can see my **bleep** too - slightly different in RL to SL :matte-motes-bashful-cute: Whupps !!! ...
  10. Ansiri wrote: Just like irl in my bunny-suit. not... I like that you can be here what ever you want, a dragon or cat or etc. ...or a human.. Oh yesssss, nice to be whatever we want to be. (Me and my SL pet)

  12. I couldn't choose between this video and the evil clown :matte-motes-big-grin:
  13. She's just a stupid kid. Won't be long before she gets stuck in a RLV trap and asks us for help! And all she'll hear is the sound of tumbleweed blowing in the wind, and the sound of her own frustrated screams :matte-motes-evil:
  14. Oooo very mature! NOT! Just shows you're not old enough mentally to be pursuing the adult content of SL. But you'll see ... in time.
  15. Hahaha - I just sent you and Irene a telepathic message about this thread - it worked!!!! How about that :-))))
  16. Hi tracijo1994, you do seem to have had a catalogue of problems since starting your Second Life. :catsad: Start afresh is what I'd say you ought to do - and don't be in a hurry to be an 'adult' - it honestly sounds much more exciting than it really is. When you age verify, be honest with LL or you run the risk of acquiring an IP ban.
  17. While you are standing on your land, click on the description of your land at the top of the screen, and an information box will pop up onto your screen to tell you everything you need to know, including how many prims. There is much more information about land prim usage and land ownership on the Knowledge Base. Here is the relevant link... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-land/ta-p/700113
  18. Welcome to Second Life Answers This is a resident to resident help area and what you need to do is contact the vendor of the Zyra << DONATO ~ Complete Avatar ++PROMO Price++[ and explain to them you accidentally clicked to cancel. They may be good enough to replace the item you cancelled, although there is no guarantee, as it was your error.
  19. Welcome to Second Life Answers, Mercy A pregnancy using the On Duty pen1s usually takes only nine days to reach full term. This must be the longest recorded SL pregnancy ever! Check your own attachments; maybe you are wearing something that communicates with the On Duty appendage that your husband wears (ie have you accidentally placed the pregnancy HUD inside a skirt, hair, shoes? You could always contact the OnDuty creator for further advice too.
  20. "... it won't let me do it" .... Are you trying to submit an abuse report via the "help" button at the top of the viewer screen while you are inworld? What is preventing you from doing so? If you are getting a message after clicking to send the report, and the message says something about it not uploading, please be aware that it is possible the report IS getting through. I would advise you try one more time, but before you press to send the report, while the abuse report is still on your screen, teleport to a different sim - ie Furball or Quarrel (empty waterland sims) and click to send from there. It could just be a temporary sim issue that is causing you to get a message failed to send message, but as I say, the report could still have got through.
  21. I haven't been able to contact kalyn Lyric in world; their profile will not fully appear for me, which suggests something more than ghosting is going on. I think (and I wanted to check this out really by speaking with kalyn in world) that they've registered their avatar through one of the third party websites that still allows avatars with last names to be created (they're only days old in SL). They're logged in to one sim, they say in their OP, and unable to escape from it, although can communicate with others in world to a degree - not fully though. Again, suggests they're on a sim connected with the way they have registered their account. Restarting the sim not going to be appropriate.
  22. Melita Magic wrote: Marigold Devin wrote: Peggy Paperdoll wrote: The easiest way to quit SL is to go to your dashboard > Account > Cancel Account. Let LL do the deleting...they can most likely delete everything in your inventory as quick as it takes to call up your account and hit the delete key (poof it's gone in an instant). I'm sorry, I'm not going to be as nice as everyone else. Why did you feel it necessary to spend the time and effort to post an "I'm leaving" thread? A final mini rant? To gain some sympathy? To make others feel bad for you? Maybe as a dig to LL? Instead, why didn't you just inform your friends in SL of your decision and make arrangements to keep in touch in other ways besides SL? I can tell you right now that I don't (and won't) feel bad for you, nor will I miss you. I don't know you and if I did, I probably wouldn't be much of a friend....complainers and grousers are not my cup of tea. All I will say is "Good-bye. Have fun and be careful out there". You were still as nice as everyone else - in the end :matte-motes-big-grin: Wish you'd been the first poster then just that first paragraph would have covered it all and no one else would have bothered to waste their time. Everyone else was wasting time? Why do you feel that way? When I answer a topic in which I am asked for my opinion or experience, that's what I give. Each person's input is valuable as far as I'm concerned, because this is a community. It isn't only for the OP that people answer, but for all the other residents reading as well. And each answer has its own slightly different spin, or content, on top of all that. For instance some of us asked why he's leaving; Peggy didn't. (She did ask why he posted. Lol) I've slept since posting, Melita. Has the OP quit yet? I felt everyone was wasting their time, because it became apparent at this thread's post 15 where the OP came in and said, among other things ... "And if I had wanted any more advice then how to do a mass deleting of content I would have asked." I realise I should not have spoken on behalf of the others in the thread, as I obviously seemed to be doing in my post. Thank you so much for putting me right. I'll return the favour soon. Giving advice where it isn't asked for or wanted or giving misinformation is worse than staying silent.
  23. Welcome to Second Life Answers, otekah There are ongoing problems that are affecting a lot of people when it comes to rezzing on their own land. Please see this JIRA for more information: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7902
  24. Change your login start location to Furball (this is an empty water sim) and try and log in. If you are on a wireless connection, don't be. Use wired whenever possible. Keep an eye on grid status pages for any news about maintenance works that might be affecting logins... http://status.secondlifegrid.net/
