  1. Ooh, thanks Ossian and Squashy. I woke up early this morning (in hotel, travelling) and when going online I saw a lot of ' hits' on my blog, which lead me to this post! (I don't have that many readers, so am easily pleased when I see hits!). Am happy to read you like my blog enough to mention it . I got into this ambitious ' post a day 2011' from wordpress, which is not always easy (missed 5 days so far, meh)! Of course, I am always interested in new places/events and stuff to blog about and love to read other blogs as well!

I must say I feel lucky to have met great friends here and having crossing the line to be friends inworld also! (winks at Maddy, Dee, Hippie, Xiu who is sadly missed....). How about you? Two.. I thought it were more, but I was wrong. Oh well, that happens.
  3. FJ Linden wrote: During the last few days, we have heard many concerns regarding some issues with our billing system. We are currently beta testing a new system that will ultimate make it easier, and less expensive, for customers to shop and conduct business in Second Life. As is true with any large-scale beta, we have run into a few bugs and system issues. The most important of which has been that some customers have tried to pay us (to keep their account current) and they were unable to complete the transaction. If you’ve encountered this problem, please accept our apologies. Some are concerned that their accounts will go delinquent and that they will lose their membership and/or their property. Rest assured that everyone who was not able to provide payments, due to this system issue, are having their accounts manually restored as we work to fix the larger issue. Those accounts are still in good standing and these customers will not lose their status or land as a consequence. We will soon publish a blog post that provides additional detail about this program and what to expect going forward. Thanks to everyone for your patience as we roll out updated billing systems. FJ, Thanks for this update, it does explain why I am unable to purchase Linden Dollars (either via website or in viewer) with my credit card. I have not seen an official update though, which would be highly appreciated. Today I (after endless attempts to buy LS) I finally decided to purchase them via an approved 3rd party - as I could no longer wait with inworld tierpayments, and got my LS withing 2 minutes. My preferred way to purchase them is however via the viewer, can you please give us an update? Thanks!
  4. Oh nice! Yellow indeed, a colour I don't usually think of in SL (or rl) but very 'Easter'! Thanks for the inspiration
  5. For those who asked me about the outfit (or parts of it): * Carrot-in-holster and ears are part of the '~wth~ Easter Bunny outfit' (by Laura Boram), bought it last year, but maybe it's still for sale * Top and short are from 'Avid NeoGirlie' (by Avid), also from last year * Not showing on pic, but I am wearing Bax Leather boots in pink * Hair is from W&Y * Skin: Bellezza Elle Fair (am not inworld at the moment, so can't give slurl's, but I think they are easy to find)
  6. Ooh, Valerie, very nice!! I put all kinds of flowers and grasses on our sim too, don't you just love the high grass for pics?
  7. Cute, Keli! Saw it on your badge already, but in full picture it's lovely
  8. Hello all! Okay, Easter is still two weeks away, but I never miss a holiday in SL, as they are great opportunities (and excuses) to shop for a suitable outfit to celebrate the occasion! I will go for the pink Easter Bunny - outfit. It is a mix of several outfits I had in my inventory, with new boots from Bax (not visible on the pic, but it's the pink leather) Well, for now that is. I may change, of course! Do you have a special Easter-outfit?
  9. Ooh,there is so much I enjoy! * Katanafighting! * Moving from Linden Home to Linden Home every couple of months, to try out all the themes (and it gives me another excuse to shop for 'stuff'!) * Exploring places, with or without using the Destination Guide and blog about it! * Taking pictures * Chatting with newbies and oldies on Waterhead Welcome Area * Landscaping and terraforming * Dancing
  10. Pep wrote: Actually Void, this must be so, as cancelling the kudos you have given someone can lead to a demotion in their rank!!! Pep (knows of this happening.) PS I think kudos should only be given by Lindens in the Community Feedback subforum - but they should be done publicly as recognition of constructive comments. PPS I would even be willing to accept a Linden kudos for this suggestion, despite my lack of desire for rank advancement. Excellent idea, Pep, to have kudos only being given by LL, but then...for all sections! As you (and I think you are the only one who figured it out....) have seen, it's possible to Rank Blackmail! I did a little experiment the last weeks (by some mistakenly interpreted as 'gaming' or more hilarious 'me being in a hitsquad') and yesterday I made my point. I revoked kudos I have given and the result was that one of our posters got demoted in rank almost the second I revoked the last one. (Sorry Storm, it was nothing personal!). I would therefore suggest you all agree with me, or I will revoke more kudos and have you all demoted in ranks! HA! See how silly this whole system is?
  11. Oh he does that all weekend, in a pattern. But luckily it's removed pretty quick by the mods. Then he will do his round to the other forums and will be quiet for some hours.
  12. ooh, now this gives me a challenge for my boring Sunday! Thanks for the inspiration, if I manage to create something...I will post it
  13. Yep, it's spring and weekend, so cleaning and work to do! I am going through my cookbooks for some dinnerinspiration.... While the laundry (I was up early this morning, Tem dropped a huge bag of laundry last night....!!) is hanging to dry...:
  14. Tem Haalan wrote: /me laughs... I'll have to check what's in that bag then.... You did wash & iron the team kit ready for tonights Imperium Katana contest I assume? Of course I did, alas we are a bit short of teammembers for tonight + they have not practiced enough (!!), so I rescheduled to next week!
  15. Thanks for the (complete) transcript, hehe I noticed the official one is a bit sloppy editted and some names have fallen out. Was nice seeing you all, it was my first meeting on this subject and I thought it went well!
  16. Lyra Blackthorne wrote: yep even when using the specific RBG to get the skin tone...then windlight has to be considered. If you use rbg and set lighting correctly then feet look perfect to you...but, anyone with different light settings will see them as "off" color True, but if you use it for taking pics (like I do a lot) then it's fine
  17. Tem Haalan wrote: Caitlin Tobias wrote: I, for one, like to iron Can I drop a bag of shirts round later Cait? I won't need them until the weekend so take your time....:smileywink: So you mean you do have more than that one shirt you always wear? Makes me wonder....hm!
  18. Lovely picture, Valerie, and you understand it: being all domestic and looking good!!!
  19. Oh, now that is handy! Although I do not trust anyone but myself with my laundry...
  20. Yes, I am a Domestic Goddess. Not only in real life, but also in Second Life. It is, at all times, very important to take care of ones wardrobe. But, as in real life, that does not mean you can't look good while doing something mundane as ironing. I, for one, like to iron after a night out. (yeah, my neighbours think I am a bit weird, but then again: they run around in the same jeans for a day and to be honest, I have never seen them taking care of laundry!!) I would love to hear and see your tips and tricks on taking care of your household in second life!
  21. Amazing photo's, Penny! Thanks for sharing, I can't wait for more! And cool you mention the places as well, I am not a good photographer in SL but I love to explore the grid, write about it and make pics to illustrate my blogposts, now I am all inspired to make better pics!
  22. Oh, thanks Rhonda! I never knew this and am always fiddling with colors....! Now I can go to work on my shoes, since I changed skin last week.....my feet were all too pale..LOL! Btw, in V2 it's here
