You too, even as socalled bystander and reader only, play your part in the 'show', the moment you hit enter on this post. Sure, you can focus on the drama, but hey....isn't that all depending on the list of ppl you choose to follow? I, for one, enjoy the feed immensly and mostly only see positive posts and pictures and people sharing places and experiences that enhance my overall second life. I do my best to return that cheerful favour and I think I manage. You on the other hand, seem to focus on the drama and darkness. It is a choice you know. Look at your friendlist and people you choose to follow, and then think. It may well be the company YOU keep that makes it your 'walk in the dar'k, as for many others it is certainly not. Hello Caitlin, Perhaps you misunderstood when I said I am not a character. I was referring to the “games” played in the feed. I am not a character in that game, though your point is in fact valid that by posting this, I have become somewhat involved. Apparently you feel I now belong in one camp or the other, as it were. Although it is difficult to determine in typed words, you appear agitated and somewhat hostile in your reply to this post in general. I thought it was implied that this post is simply my opinion. I certainly hope that you did not take serious offense to what I’ve written, as it is not my intention to offend anyone. I did not mean to disturb your sensitive nature. My sincere apologies if I have. I am pleased that you enjoy the feeds. It appears to me that others do as well, and as I stated before, they could be even more enjoyable sans the hostility, harassment, and animosity. So you know, it is not my friends who make the walk dark, they have nothing to do with this. It is those who choose to pounce on new individuals as they attempt to introduce themselves who darken this particular alley. While I value the opinions of all posters, I do not feel that what I’ve written is a “load of ……BS”. This was written to express my thoughts on my.secondlife.com, which again, I thought was clear. ETA: To fix a grammatical error LOL and thank you so much for this reply. I am sure you have no idea why I am thankful, but yeah it puts things in perspective now I know who I am talking to. I hope the reply to me did not cause you too much stress and anger, and....another walk in the dark. I do not play 'games' in the feed, I am sure you (as you are familiar with it) have seen my contributions and even you must see they are pretty clear and straight forward. I will leave the 'playing games' to others, like you, and will read it, then scroll and...smh..... Have a nice day! Goodness, you seem to really take this personally. There no stress or anger in my reply, and I must express apologies once again if you felt there were. I do hope you have a nice day as well. Oh no dearie, not at all. I am smiling and having a wonderful evening reading all this. Keep it up, you are a blast! Oh, and I am looking forward to your pics on the feed soon!

  6. Where are you from? The Netherlands When did you join SL originally? My first account is from March 2007 (she sleeps for years now..), Caitlin has her rezday in August 2007 What have you mainly spent your time doing in SL in the past? Mostly katana-fighting, leading a Samurai clan. After I had to decide to close that down, I did what I always did in between fighting - but a bit more: exploring places for my blog How are you planning to spend your time in SL in 2013? I do not really plan, but I am looking forward to keep on exploring!
  7. While getting ready for a party tonight, I decided to update my profile picture too with this. I got inspired while listening to Prince - Diamonds and Pearls.
  8. Hm. I like to wear mesh boobs AND mesh pants. The boobs, you can make them as large as you wish...or small, all a matter of personal taste. The pants, I dunno..but I find most of them nicely shaped and fit my avatar quite right without making my hips or legs weird. Here's a pic of me, wearing both the mesh boobs and my fav mesh jeans (not completely on the pic though). And no, you don't have to like it, it's just an example .
  9. Congratz! I think I was at 3500 posts, and then LL switched to this new software..and they took away postcounts (for many posters), so I kinda Iost track
  10. oh, and Valerie made it through the cold and snow to Ambrosia last night ...
  11. Great pics all! I've been playing with a different hairstyle and new bewbs..eheh. Not sure if this will be my daily look though!

Aw, thanks Val! Hope to see you later then! It's pretty cold here too, I just drove through the snow to the supermarket for comfortfood and red wine, am sorted and ready for the weekend!
  13. WOW, that is so gorgeous! Love it!
  14. Happy weekend all ! I am all dressed up to go clubbin' tonight
  15. it's nasty bug, bugging lots of ppl. Mine says 47 notifications, for ages now..even when I have read them all. I got used to it. Sometimes it drops to 43..and then it goes up again...all part of the fun!

About all I could find was this Google cached page. For those of you who were around, what are your memories? Or if you know links to other info, share them here. While it was a terror to live through at the time, it is a part of Second Life History that should not be forgot. Oh! I remember that one...I just recently talked with a friend about it! We were stuck on a weird sim, a mall with empty shops - together with about 20 others.....we sat there on a bench and IM' ed with other friends that were stuck in other places....hahaha! It was a few months after the casinos were closed and I think shortly after the debacle with the inworld banks that went bankrupt. Good times!
  17. Tamara Artis wrote: Feeds are good and fast way of showing what you have to show to the whole SL world, or at least ones who follow you. What I don't like is that every time I open my Home page and scroll down to the More button, there are posts of maybe 5 people top, each of them posting something every 30-60 minutes. I don't want to unfollow them because they post good stuff! But thats because my friends don't post there and I follow only few people. For a while I was pretty active there but then it started to be time consuming and big distraction so on top of all things I have planned to do that day I would see few interesting places I want to visit or stuff to buy. And you found yourself the perfect cat
  18. Yeah, nice idea. And yes...I am an avid user of the feed - usually leaving no chance go for a nice pic. However, the charm of the feeds and who I choose to follow is: they are residents like me, exploring places and products and sharing those. If there is something I - personally - do NOT like (and it is happening) : commercial posts. I will immediately stop following those and/or ignore their messages, just like I do with facebook. It may be okay to others, but for me it will work the other way around. Yes, Medhue I took a pic of us. Not to promote your product by the way, but just because the scenery was nice, the occasion was there and I thought your avi looked cool with my pose. NOT at all commercial, it never crossed my mind. I, for one, would be sad if commercials took over the feed. It would make me use it less instead of more.
  19. Wonderful pic! Congratz!!!
  20. thanks all :matte-motes-kiss:

Seems like these are the seminal rules: How to Enter:Between the hours of 12:00 p.m. Pacific on October 15, 2012 and 11:59 p.m. Pacific, October 31, 2012 take a picture that fits the contest theme. Upload your image in jpeg or png format to the contest. Images must be free of text and logo, and no larger than 500x500 pixels in size Images should be unaltered by any external photo editing tool except for sizing the image. Caity has said her photo was larger and I believe Bella took her photo before the contest started.. still they should have been told before voting started so that our kudos were not disallowed. I want my kudo credit While it IS at least good news to learn that the removals were probably not due to personal vendettas or something equally ugly, the handling really was atrocious. Done properly, I'd have thought non-qualifying images could have been rejected almost as soon as they were entered (with an explanation to the owner). At the very least that should have happened before voting started as you suggest. What a shame. Err..... the bolded part. Yes, I am convinced that is excactly what happened and why mine and Bella's pic got removed. Alas, this is hard to really prove, and I am not getting myself (my account and anyone else involved included) in any more trouble than I am already am, so I will leave it to speculations and such. Just this: Oh yeah dearie....., I know and nope I won't forgive nor forget.(this is not directed to Dillon) Caity

See, it wont work with my memory alone, I messed up the sizes. So my apologies to Loki, the winning pic does meet the sizes as stated in the rules, I previously stated his was not according to rules, this is not true. My bad. I may need to check mine, am not sure what the size exactly is but not sure if I can be bothered as this whole socalled contest has left a bad taste in my mouth. Caity if the photo is the same size as on FB it was not the size but date taken that decided the exclusion. The FB photo is 344x500 Really..I never read it as such, that the actual photo had to be shot in a specific timeframe. LOL. I read it as : take a pic (as in..take it from a folder or make it..!!). Hahahahah! Oh my...and: oh well. I still do not know if that is the reason btw...it is still only guessing and I find it tiresome.
