  1. Actually, you pay less if you pay your premium fees annually. There is also a quarterly payment method & it appears that is one of the conditions of this promo - you must pay quarterly & not monthly to take advantage of the 50%. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Land/how-much-does-premium-cost/qaq-p/1229013 <----- I think these fees still stand.
  2. Yes, group will get 10 percent more land per tier level. And it's the group that benefits, you don't need to own the group no.
  3. I think this is a personal choice as each user has different needs. You must weight the positives and negatives & decide whether it is worth your while to get premium membership. I have maintained my premium membership since I joined sl but I also still own mainland as well as estate land so for me is my choice. As for what happens when you miss a payment, I have never heard of this happening. I hope it's been fixed. I do know that LL will contact you immediately if there is a billing issue (of course). And as for pmt method, I use either of those you mention and find both secure.
  4. Unless you are wanting to pay a Swedish person to be serious, you might consider adding what it is you would like this person to do. Just a thought
  5. Yes you will get absolutely no satisfaction here Having said that, there are many many other places for self expression of your choice, it just ainèt here.
  6. Yes, sometimes things get lost. A number of ways things can get lost, one of which is lost in translation, interpretation. We should really take the time to make an effort to ensure the meaning of the message before shooting the messenger.

A child is usually childish looking, stubby body, large head, and no breasts. Fairie: Child: Thank you for the reply. I think it is a mistake on their part to use the phrase child like, when it's such a huge issue as this. They should say young looking adult or something instead, or just forget qualifying it altogether. Most definitely. Totally erroneous using the term 'child like' & only allows those who look for ways to 'take advantage' in order to comply, can easily do so. Is it me or is this not OBVIOUS to anybody speaking the English language? Perhaps this is a loophole so that this can happen...shrugs.
  8. Yes exactly. You select the prim & choose 'return' from the menu. The permissions system will tell you via chat if you are not allowed to remove the prim. This would occur if it is determined that the prim doesn't encroach. If it does, then poof prim returned to owner. But yes, most def contact owner first as odds are, he/she is unaware that it is encroaching. GL
  9. LL has implemented the feature of being able to return megas that encroach so you should be able to return this yourself. Of course, IM'g the owner is a courtesy that I would choose to employ first. Let them remove it themselves. Another thing regarding megas that encroach. If they are sculpts, then there are other problems that occur. I have a mainland water sim. My neighbor chose to put up mega sculpt walls and the bounding box of these encroached onto my land, impeding the use of boats. So, bounding box negatively effected these vehicles and I could no longer launch any boats there. I hope you get it sorted. Encroachment can be tediuos to have to deal with.
  10. I have to agree with this in that new residents often are unaware of the economy of sl as well as all the effort that goes into creating products. I have to add though that the op didn't ask for anything other than advice for free. The OP even inquires as to 'cost' of the items so I don't think the intent was to get something for nothing. Having said that, we cannot derive the intent of the OP here any more than we can the intent of a creator who includes a style card with their product. I think this was a simply innocent request for help from someone that is perhaps new to sl & does not yet understand some of it's intricacies.
  11. You also may want to make sure that you are allowed to reproduce these masks in order not to be hit with a DMCA. You don't want to violate someone's copyright. I've never seen these before. They are very interesting.
  12. The first thing to try IMO, would be to contact the store owner & ask if they can help you. Maybe they can provide you with a style notecard. The avie may be the owner/creator but if not, perhaps they may be able to direct you to the model. There appear to be a variety of items, including tatoos & could even be some makeup layers. Good luck
  13. I think like rl, biz people in sl have their methods & systems that they prefer to use. Putting lm's in product pkgs has been a part of product sales in sl for a long time. Many people still do this some don't. I did this myself until I had to move my store from one quadrant of my sim to another. Having the MP as well as my profile, I no longer feel the need to rely on this method. I note my store location in my profile as well as referring customers to MP to get my store location. Landmarks are one of the first things I delete in my inventory together with unnecessary notecards as these accumulate so quickly. If I want to visit a creator's store, I always go to their profile. I have been doing this for a few years now as I am aware of stores that are always moving and landmarks are often no longer valid. This can occur not only via a store relocating to another sim, but the owner simply moving the landing point. It's much more convenient for me to shop using the 'see in world' in MP or visiting the owner/creator's profile. Keep in mind that I am in no way negating this jira, I think it's a very cool idea. Even though I use other methods and this is not something I would use, I know other's would find a use for it. I do remember moaning when I moved my store and thought, man, I have to replace all those landmarks so I can surely see that those still using this method, will be tickled pink if this goes through.
  14. Yes I have to say that this is against TOS. Bottom line, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck then yeah, it's a duck.
  15. Toy - You've put a lot of thought & effort into this idea & I hope it goes through.
  16. This has always been a problem for me. Your idea is an excellent one! A few stores that I've been too, well it's been quite a while now since. I've been to one of these, but they give out the intellibooks. All their items are listing in there and include a tp link to the item in the store. I think this would be an awesome thing for merchants to offer their customers.
  17. Couldbe Yue wrote: you know, it's quite possible that they're considering doing a forced migration for people who still have MBs but have left sl or can't be bothered moving over. A forced migration would have two benefits for them; those items that are still selling can continue to make money and they can do a forced switchoff of the mbs without having a sharp decline in the number of items on offer. It's quite possible that they're testing it and you fell into the pool because your stuff sells yet because it's in a mb they think you don't pay much attention. For 99% of people that would probably be the case and they appear to have some kind of shared delusion that their software deployments are perfect and never cause issues. Whatever it is, I'd say that anyone left on a mb should probably do their own migration as we know that LL will never get it right and won't care enough to fix it. hmmmm....would the money for the merchant that has left sl and abandoned their MP store simply accumulate in their account? I know if you cancel an account, you have several months where you can still come back & reactivate it. Makes me wonder what happens if they simply leave without shutting things down.
  18. This would then lead me to consider that all merchants that have both MB & DD check their stores. If no other merchants have had this happen, then I'd be curious about how it occurred & why he wasn't at least notified. I surely don't want LL to make decisions such as this on my behalf, leave the job incomplete, then not even tell me about it.
  19. omg & these transactions are documented!!! what a rip off.
  20. I checked mine - am still all MB's. I've had sales every day with no delivery problems. So, so far so good. However, I am stimied as to why, how, LL has done this. IMO it would have to be a deliberate action not something automated. Am I correct in that thinking?
  21. So LL has, without warning, made the switch from MB to DD & none of our MB should be working?
  22. We are all entitled to our opinions and as a consumer/customer of sl, mine remains the same. I have no idea how you can say that my opinion doesn't hold water when it is my opinion. You are using options that EVERYONE has to currently pay for as your examples I am not disputing the fact that LL CAN charge for such things. I am simplhy stating that this is a feature I would NOT pay for. I will happily continue to replace lm's whenever there is a need to do so. Just to add to the overall idea, if you want LL to hear about it then you need to file a jira. Meanwhile, I've heard of this idea before & although i'm sure it would be useful to some, there are many other features, things that are broken for example, that IMO are more important & should be addressed by LL. Edited to add: I should probably have included a bit more info here. I am an estate owner, I have a premium membership, etc. etc. & pay LL a substantial amount each month & am most certainly not unwilling to pay for what I get. My main point here is however, that this is something we can currently do ourselves & so IMO, is not a service that I would pay for nor is it something that I have an issue with. There are many things in sl that are annoying and time consuming. This is just one of many IMO.
  23. IMO not so - what upgrades do we now pay for? There are free accounts & they receive upgrades all the time at no charge. Having a landmark routing system IMO is no different than adding another feature & should not be an additional cost. Unless LL decides to make SL a Paid platform, then IMO software upgrades should remain free of charge.
  24. Just so you know, this is NOT a service I would pay for. I think any and all upgrades for sl should be at no charge. We pay thru the nose as it is. JMO

If someone speaks to my son, uses curse words, or sexual words or sexual harrassment, it seems like this should be reported. If my son does not report to me himself, I would at least like this to be monitored. Seems like a very simple feature. Detect sexual words or curse words, report to Linden Labs and ban... Is this possible? no they don't have auto report in second life.. if there is a big concern which there should be..i would not recommend second life..there are plenty of pg type of virtual worlds out there that would probably be better suited for the concerns you are having.. I have to agree with this. Where do pedophiles go to find children?? They go where the children are. So regardless of LL having pg or general sims for teens, there is nothing to keep 'adults' from also entering those sims. So bottom line? THAT'S where you are gonna find that element of person - being sweet and kind and obeying the rules. The biggest problem in our society today, is that people still want to believe that you can spot a monster from a mile away - this is so wrong. Why subject your child to that at all? IMO, if you aren't sitting beside your teen while they are online, then you can expect them to be subjected to whatever is out there.
