  1. There are any number of media viewers in SL but I prefer this one: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Damani-MediaViewer-Youtube-Dailymotion-ShoutCast-Music-Movies-Go/42726 I"ve always found Damani to be the most user friendly. hth
  2. ....yes & it all started when they stopped makin the damn bears.
  3. 'sociopath'? hmmmm wonders if LL also has a supply of serial killers and a bevy of mp's? Even if companies are going to wind down, it is rarely a case where they purposely turn to poor biz practices in order to do so. I've never seen a company 'run a biz into the ground' on purpose for any reason. As a matter of fact, a wind down has to be done strategically and very carefully in order NOT to incur any further liabilities etc.
  4. I have to agree & in spades. This thread is an obvious sim promotion & is in the wrong category IMO. Sim is totally unremarkable - a main building with some shops & some waterfalls & empty of avatars - I saw absolutely nothing I've not seen before on hundreds of other sims.
  5. ... hey! Don't blame us bean counters, we get blamed for everything these days.
  6. ... just my attempt at a little humor & to use the word plug in a sentence. To whomever said cool name OP, I have to agree.
  7. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to discuss this so if not I appologize in advance. Like many sl residents, I have a flicker site. Over the past few years, I've loved to see the creativity of other residents, some amazing talent! For the past few months now, I've been seeing a new avatar type. I'm unsure if it's ok to post a photo from a flicker member here to show an example so I won't. I think most will know what I'm talking about anyway. The avatars in question have very wide hips, short legs and quite a large space between the legs. The faces are always frowning and there is usually a number of tatoos and piercings. I'm very curious about what seems to be a rather widespread trend in sl. It seems to have gone viral. Although it's not my style, I am amazed at the creativity. Not only of the avatars but the creators of the clothes, shoes, tattoos, body piercings, etc etc that are a part of this new look. So, what is behind this trend? What demographic does it encompass? Who started it? Is this a reflection of something from real life? Thoughts? Edited to add - Oops I am in the Adult Content Forum, General Discussion I meant to post this in General Discussion!!! Please move? thx

  9. I believe your land is listed quite soon after you list it. Certainly should be up long before 24 hours. If you are unable to find in search, it's because search just doesn't function correctly. Also, there are probably hundreds if not thousands of plots of the same size listed for sale.
  10. well orange IS your color my dear Well I don't know how to insert a photo so perhaps this is a good time to learn? Anyone kind enough to help? tia
  11. Yes are all games of chance & not considered gambling by LL's TOS. Fun to play
  12. Yeah they are in the midst of restarting the big 3 -LeTigre, Blue Steel & Magnum this am. http://status.secondlifegrid.net/category/slgridstatus/
  13. Not sure with such little info about what is happening. If you are logging into 'home', and having no luck, try logging into a specific sim. If you have other avatars, are also unable to log in?
  14. This zoning compliance? Can you be a little more specific? Does it relate to LL's present Adult, Mature, PG settings or the settings that landowners use that are not really settings but more designations - Residential Commercial etc. I ask because I think the latter, is something LL needs to keep their noses out of unless they are providing a feature where we can actually include these as land settings. Otherwise, this should remain a setting that land owners manage on their own. This is really owner specific and goes to the the land covenant's.
  15. Having these permissions would make no difference on a creator being hacked now or then. If a creatoir is hacked now, permissions can easily be changed on all their stuff. I have to respectfully disagree with this. Myself and quite a few creator friends would love to have permissions such as these. And more!
  16. This is true however, LL has always been reactive and not proactive, guilty before innocent, etc. They will take it all down then decide later what should be done. What happens when you run a system like that is what we see now. Backlogs of issues upon issues while merchants/residents wait for their issue to be resolved. If there were clear cut rules in place to begin with, then none of this would be necessary. From what I see now, anybody can get a product taken down and merchant must sit pretty until resolved.
  17. Would be nice but no. The best way IMO would be to rez faux the build then you can drop the rez faux box & rez the build at the new site. hth
  18. Yes of course ... but I'm thinking of an sl where the original creator has more permission options. They can sell their stuff to customers who in turn are able to give it away but not re-sell it. Is quite possible to do this....and hopefully some day, as a creator, we will be able to.
  19. ...even funnier? When your land-owning-partner accidentally returns all your stuffz - not once but twice! hope you get it sorted, nothing like being locked outta your own house
