until LL puts out some kind of official statement that accounts with ip infringment items will be banned it's not true infact LL replaces items removed for ip infringment or have been copybotted with ip replacement items only the botters will get banned

i take you are using phoenix viewer if so go in the phoenix menu click asset blacklist remove the assets you wish to un-blacklist your friend should re-appear also change your group tag if your using phoenix pre 908 changing group tag or a re-log should be sufficient

there are a few TPV's based on the 1.23 UI with many V2 features like Phoenix but there will come a time when you will have to use V2 or a V2 tpv is you still want to access SL

have you checked grid status there's currently inventory server maintenance which will explain why you can't log in

give this a try it should fix your crash on upload issue go in Prefs - Graphics - Hardware options - untick VBO ok/apply then re-log or alternatively you can do this in prefs before you log in

well you've just discovered one of the pitfalls of renting from a private estate the sim owner doesn't have to give you any warning that their getting rid of the sim you loose a whole load of rezzed stuff and money. if the sim still existed a sim rollback could be possible. as for LL telling renters what has happened to an estate it's not their problem if someone wants to spend a grand buying a private sim from LL then pay 300 a month tier they can do what they like with the land

something else to try which has 'cured' some other crashing issues - Prefs > Graphics > Hardware Options untick VBO ok/apply then re-log or you can do this before logging in

i've noticed the height in appearance mode and inworld scriped height checkers don't give the same height infact there is a big difference according to appearance mode i'm over 7ft to a scripted device like the one included in Alicia Stella's free cool tools i'm a foot shorter at over 6ft. in RL i'm atleast a foot shorter than my smallest given SL height

have you tried using Virwox's website it might be there is a problem with the inworld terminals

you can't post blogs on here only Linden Lab employees get that priviledge if you want to start a blog sites like wordpress blogger and live journal are excellent choices

http get textures pulls textures direct from the servers and doesn't have to go through the extra step of rezzing on the sim first i'm not sure the feature works 100% properly i have heard of it causing some issues

it's not impossible that the sim owner saw your bed liked it and bought their own if you deeded the bed to the group of your land rental from what i remember the sim owner could take it but you wouldn't have a copy rezzed inworld

i don't think any viewer will greatly effect lag it's more down to your hardware your net connection and LL's servers you can try toggling your bandwidth if your getting lots of packet loss which you can find out via the stat window (ctrl+shift+1) it can lag adjusting bandwidth in prefs can help that i know people that suggest using http://www.speedtest.net to test your connection then setting bandwith to 80% of download speed

LL removed the option for basic accounts which i feel is a poor decision particularly when you get stuck on mainland tips i've found to have helped is to open 2 viewers if possible log in an alt find the ghost use the other viewer to log the ghost as soon as it shows offline make sure you log the ghost in to a quiet region like cyclops continue trying to log in repeatedly preferrably a quiet region eventually you'll get in if you know the region you ghosted tp after logging in find where you think your ghost was you don't have to go through tping where you think you ghosted but some people think it helps paying a ghost L$1 it's been suggested several times i've never found it works

most of my 'friends' don't log in anymore they seem to have left with out saying anything or they were someone's alt or due to RL commitments/time zones don't log in when i'm logged in out of the people i would consider an actual friend who doesn't log in anymore i am aware RL circumstances mean they can't get online or justify keeping land

there's also the problem i've noticed when clicking reply to reply to a message it directs you to the main blog some times

the shape based on RL i made or rather modified myself from the one i landed which took probably a year to perfect it. the skin is from Skinthesis the pale shade just right and it suited me when i decided to upgrade to a proper decent skin from a freebie skin i tried more pale skins than i care to remember most were too tanned for my liking
