  1. World --> Show --> Land Owners. Your own land in the sim will turn green. Land belonging to groups you're in will turn blue. Land for auction Purple, and the rest of the world goes red.
  2. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mostly%20Beatrice/236/26/67 Objects hidden: Boundaries:
  3. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bay%20City%20-%20Truro/160/49/25 Double prim land. 2-sides protected road and water in Bay City PG. End of the cul-de-sac on the road, with the river behind. With objects hidden: Boundaries:
  4. Moving sale. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tupi/110/237/63 A hilly lot with river cul-de-sacs on both the east side and the lot wrapping around the river on the west in a partial 'C' shape. With object hidden so you can see the land: Boundaries:
  5. Go to the sim named 'anime' (just put that into the map, not search). There's an AO mall there with a lot of different makers.
  6. Flicker occurs when two items occupy the same space on their surface. You can touch, but not be in the same spot. Using the numbers that are right there when you open the edit window is not math - its just putting things down on direct spots, directly.
  7. A general suggestion is to edit by the numbers. Use whole numbers for the location of the overal house, and try to keep parts of it in easy divisions. I try to keep things in units of .05 or .1 - and not much finer. But for the whole numbers, a division of 4. Land in SL comes in squares that are 4m by 4m on a side. You land's boundaries will always be some division of 4. In fact an ideal thing to do when one gets land is to rez a 4m cube at each corner of the lot so you know your boundaries. Math out the length and width, and then go to megaprim.sl and get a mega prim of that size but not too thick (or rotate it if one doesn't match your dimensions). Put that megaprim in the sky somewhere and landmark it - it makes a great place to 'sandbox' and experiment. - But you can always move it up or down through your house and such to be sure none of your stuff is in a neighbor's land and vice versa.
  8. Yes the picture was just put in another thread yesterday, but its the best one I have for this thread's subject: My skin's been a constant since a few months before making this account in 2009 - my old account dating to 2006 but never having been used much until 2009. My shape has been a near constant. I've made some minor tweaks to the face in 2010 after noticing flaws when zooming in or when certain expressions showed up in my AO. The body underwent a change just last month to tighten up my behind and improve my curves. I halved my hip length, and make the legs and torso longer, and kept butt size down while tweaking saddle bags until I had a natural curve. My AO's been a constant since I'd read its name in a blog: Life is Meow. Had to get that once I'd seen that name, and it turned out to fit me really well. I've had the eyes, fangs amd whiskers since 2009 - and they only go off when I make a wardrobe mistake. I went to dreadlocks in my hair last year - but at first only in furry form. Took me a while to find the dreadlocks that would work right with my head shape - even though in the end they were from the same maker as they ones I wore as a furry. All the hairs I've always used in SL have had a reddish brown tone. My neko parts shifted brand earlier this year - from what I had been on since 2009. Of course all of this changes when I go into furry form - though my body shape for that is still nearly the same as my neko form. I change clothes constantly. Often in mid conversation with people.
  9. A lot I requested to buy was instead put into the auction queue just this morning. I'd put in a ticket a few weeks back requesting to have it put for auction or sold to me, and amended that ticket yesterday to ask for it to be sold. It was instead put into the queue. So I'd say only some people are being allowed to buy direct still...
  10. Morning. Though dressed for a pleasant evening. Location: Ground below my toadstool 'place' (That I really need to work on someday event-wise) in Tupi. Neko Kit from [AnthroXtacy] with my own custom recolor. Hair from Jonah Dreads with my own recoloring Skin from Pixel Paws Dress from 'G Field' Building in background by me (and still not on the market because I don't know why). I need to get back to my furry look soon...
  11. Location: My place, with my friend's lot behind me. Neko Kit from [AnthroXtacy] with my own custom recolor. Hair from Jonah Dreads with my own recoloring Skin from Pixel Paws Outfit... heh - careful camera angle for these forums. Post processing photo-touchup: Only to add the name and the 'digits'. Image taken 15 mins before this post.
  12. That would only make sense if it was being sold to the person who'd abandoned it (see OP).
  13. I've always been told you could only have the land put into the auction queue, and not request it specifically - unless it was a micro lot next to you. Most of these are full lots of the 512, 1024, and larger size.
  14. Searching on land sales and TPing to the lots has caused me to find a -LOT- of places, large lots even, set for sale by LL's to specific people who were -NOT- the people who had abandoned the lots. It also often includes micro-lots, which I found to be the case with the recent 'landcutters' thread - some of the cuts there had names on who could buy them. What's driving this and how does it work exactly?
  15. Part of the peak -was- for sale for 15,000L. The 80,000 piece is all that's left now though There's a lot halfway down the hill with sex-graveyard items out. For burying your 'past' though, I'd suggest going for deep water. There are some places where the water is 80m deep.
  16. Some of the lots in the woods are now for sale as well - but Governor Linden is only selling them to specific named people.
  17. Bubba Biberman wrote: The highest point on Mainland is in Campion. Mountain peaks there are >350m. There are some parcels for sale in that region, you can get a 2048 for 80,000. In November or so I bought some lots on that sim for about 0.8L/m each - but sold them shortly after as the cuts were bad and I needed the tier. That was a bit under market for a mountain... But 80,000 is way over.
  18. Pre-existing donuts are also illegal. Unless you own both the inner and outer piece - and are not selling either. But these weren't even that - the donuts here were made today by doinf the extreme cut seen in the first screenshot, and ow a different cut.
  19. Donut holes are not allowed. So the person who made those had better get rid of them or they risk their account. I'll be ARing them myself in a bit.
  20. A land baron already went in and bought the whole think and jacked the price up to an unreasonable for mainland value. A second person has gone in and made some carefully carved AR-able donut holes.
  21. The LL process is automated, not manual. Did any of you think to file an AR and support ticket before calling LL's out here for not doing anything about something nobody told them about?
  22. There's no such thing as linden land were all can build and not have any auto-return. Well there is but its not supposed to be. Sandboxes should always have some kind of auto-return, and non-sandboxes should have a very short one if they allow rezzing at all. Hit it double - file a support ticket asking for an auto-return to be set (look in the land category and I think parcel issues - some decent categories in there), and file an AR against the landowner (usually governor linden) - for abuse of sim resources / excessive clutter or whatever it was called... under. You're not actually ARing some account named governor linden for being a nincompoop... You're just letting the lindens know through the inworld report method that there's an issue in this location. I'm not sure which of those two methods is the approved method. I just did this a few days ago and asked in my tickets - but they fixed it so fast that I closed my support ticket and ARs never get a response. So eventually next time I see a linden (could be months or days) - I'll ask. I've been told each of those at different times over the years.
  23. Any use of AV-physics, and in fact use of V2.6.3, should keep this Jirra in mind: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-25479? At this point in time the only reasonable solution is to either no longer associate with anyone who does not use V2.6.3 (yeah right), or 'revert-grade' back to v2.6.1 or earlier: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/2.6.1
