  1. If anyone is feeling that they can't find the spot they want, or that Mediterranean is just TOO fancy, Acacia Woods seems to have a popular camping spot under the bridge. ETA: added a red arrow pointing to the innertube rezzer that actually IS in the far puddle. 😎
  2. WOWWOWOW I go away for 2 weeks (didja miss me? haha) and the moles make my dreams come true! The fabled Northwest Passage between Olde Belli and the stilts EXISTS!!! I'll travel it before Christmas, fingers crossed. There are a LOT of stilts along it, making it narrow in spots. Indeed, I see that the Phallic Isles (Sun Deck, Longshore 😜 , and Shakes Pier) are all fringed with stilts already. I love that there will be a rail link between LogLand and RanchLand. Incidentally, if you are so reading impaired (*looks up and whistles innocently) that you ignore the caution sign and try to walk thru the tunnel, you find yourself teleported to dry land at either end, a nice touch. Since they're already using an experience to do that, I wonder if they'll try removing the water while you're in an underwater tunnel via an experience? (You would think that I'd have tried that already, but since I'm not building any tunnels myself, I've not done so. It's a good attribute in a software engineer to be lazy, prevents wasting time on purely NIH projects. Or so I tell myself.) And the new theme IS Mediterranean, and is already released??? I've gone PP and hopped a bit, will try again tomorrow, looks lovely! Hoping for a river spot ... Thank you, LDPW! Merry Christmas to you all!
  3. I haven't seen the Mediterranean theme in person yet, but New Orleans looks like it might be very close to Mediterranean. Δ€ow about Bayou instead? Love me some swampy shack goodness. Maybe a run-down Garden District home Γ‘s one home style. As for urban ... blech. I've seen some really good renditions, but the best ones I've come across have been roleplay regions, which LHs aren't suited for.
  4. Sounds like we're all ready to move in. NOW ... when did you say these were being released, Santa Patch? πŸŽ…
  5. OMGOSH! I think I did it! I finally guessed a theme right! If it's not Mediterranean, it's close enough for me! https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/426577-ssp/page/318/#comment-2647024 And I love what I see so far 😍 Premium Plus, here I come! And, puzzle me this: I've circled a blue chimney on the left. BUT ... what I've circled on the right ... is that a turret? A campanile? Most of these look like 2-story, small palazzi - love that double-decker arched window in the middle of this pic. But I hope there are also a couple smaller, one-story cottage-like styles of homes. Gotta have room for my olive orchard! No telltale landscaping has appeared yet at the Welcome Hub demo area ...
  6. Me, too, Teresa. It looks to me like the buildout of the next theme is pretty much done, perhaps even all QA'd. But I don't see any new hints or mention of a reveal at the Expo ... I suppose it could be that LL has decided to ride this ranch pony until it slows up on its own! Or possibly the problems with the fantasy home controllers etc. will cause a delay until after the holidays. Sometimes I wonder if Dyna, Quartz et al could use more scripting help. I mean, I script, I worked as a software contractor for years, I could use a little income, neh? Sure! ..... Then I remember all the blathering I've done here and think that probably neither Abnor nor Patch would hire me to make popcorn, let alone code. πŸ‘Ό D'oh!
  7. This is the tile for the BelliHUB and BelliDemo regions. Green dot right about where they would probably build out a little more land in BelliDemo to accommodate a new 2048 theme.
  8. Yes! New coastline, 7 new regions up to the railbridge to the Welcome Hub! All stilts. Yay, moles! Keep going up to Really Wet, and the Northwest Passage from Olde Belle to StiltHaven's big river will be Really Really Real!
  9. Ah, good! I shan't Jira then, and also shan't bother you unless I actually want a borked parcel, and cannot reset it. There are about 2300 Fantasy parcels available, so let's not sweat it for the few I find. Btw, I used my trusty Multifunction Stopwatch app to time my reset attempts, having seen your comments elsewhere. Most mysterious.
  10. I just freed up a hopper, who is trying to snag a nice Fantasy parcel. 3 out of the 5 parcels she got today had this issue I think I've seen mentioned here. When the new owner tries to use the controller, it says something like: "The scripts have been reset and are currently initializing. Please try again in few minutes". BUT. If you go away for 10 minutes and come back, you get the same message. If you attempt to reset the controller yourself by holding down the mouse button for 10 seconds, then 20 seconds, then 30 seconds, you get the same message. Since I didn't want those parcels, I just abandoned them. I got one of them a second time, and the controller was still borked. @Quartz Mole, should I have filed a ticket for each of these parcels, even tho I was going to abandon them immediately? This seems more like a problem for a JIRA, is someone already working on a fix?
  11. So ... maybe you should be paid more too! Kill 2 birds with one stone.
  12. LogLand's western coastline is shaping up to be just gorgeous. This is the falls at Port Harbor - note that there is a rez zone where the bridge crosses the river, above the top of the falls. You could rez a kayak, ride down the falls, and paddle over to the Bumper Boat court in BelliHub very easily. The lighthouse is in Broad Seas. When they fill this area in with landscaping (and stilts?), oh my. Just a few regions down the coast is the Victorian train station with a dock ... probably not completely built out yet.
  13. It's a really good value if you like the look. The LODs are about what you'd expect ... at an LOD factor of 2, I see 2-10m for the smaller parts of the set, and good LODs (for furniture) on the large pieces - over 20. The shower anims are completely lame, but the sink ones are fine (altho it is a little odd that both faucets turn on when one of them is clicked, and also the script informs you in chat when water is turned on or off). But it looks to me like the set is mod, so you could fix as much as you wish. Btw, I use that Llorisen tub quite often. I paired it here with a FLF set from Kazza, I believe. Note that the Ravenna Fireplace is 4LI with candles and very handsome, BUT has been resized for display, as noted on the kiosk. This is a tall avatar, but she is standing parallel to the fireplace and her feet are touching the ground. (a bounding box prevented her from getting nearer). If anyone knows how high the LI gets when the fireplace is normal size, I'd like to know.
  14. If this sandbox could be occasionally reserved and autoreturn turned off, it would be an ideal place to hold a one-day decorating showcase. Set all the parcels of the same dimension to a single model of home, and have participating residents bring their nicest builds. Encourage each to provide a notecard listing items used.
  15. This sandbox is very cool, what a great idea! I like that you don't have to be premium to use it, a lot of builders have alts who may not merit a premium account. It even has a nice little seating area where creators can network 😎 (Actually, it's not at the Welcome HUB, it's an offshore region not physically connected to Belli, which is probably a good thing).
  16. Both land pages seem to be active, and you can navigate to either. From your dashboard: If you click on the big "Get your Home Now" box on the right, you go to the old land page. If instead, you choose "Land Manager" from the menu on the left, then pick "Linden Home", you get the new land page.
  17. 3 weeks exactly until the Christmas Expo opens. Meanwhile, up in the SSP zone, LL made a standalone region which appears to be a clone of one of the regions in the new theme tile development block. Lively work has been in progress there for the last few days. Right now: Demo region? The Christmas Expo website is not really active yet.
  18. The regions are not yet open to be explored, at this moment Abnor is still there making things. Does anyone else think Ranchland is beginning to look like a cowboy straddling a horse, on the map? I'm skipping this theme, but if I weren't I would definitely want a home in Giggling Ferret, to go with my Sakura in Happy Weasel. "Leyfsa Birch" LOL
  19. Nikki, I feel for you. If someone was just looking at LL's official announcements, I can see how they might feel scammed. I never considered premium plus, partly because discussions here in the forums made it clear that PP homes would be a long time coming, and like you the other benefits don't mean that much to me. Everyone's circumstances are different. In reality, my budget precluded buying any PP memberships this year (circumstances left me with several prepaid annual premium memberships last year, so I've been downsizing for quite some time). I suspect that the reason more ranches have not been released is because a new 2048 theme will be revealed in a few weeks at the Christmas Expo, and if people like it, then quite a few current rancheros will change to the new theme. BUT that is just my suspicion ... and remember. just because a theme is revealed, doesn't mean it will be released immediately! I hope you're using the new land page to check how many homes in a given theme are available. If I were lurking for a ranch home, I would just stay on page 5, and refresh until I saw that the ranch home disappeared (which would mean one is available). They do come available now and then. The count of how many parcels in a given them are available is given on the page for that theme. At one point I wanted to see if that number could be trusted, so I flew over a LOT of ranch regions when supposedly none were available. Sure enough, every parcel I saw was occupied. Do whatever suits your personal needs best. Like Marisa, I won't be upgrading until 2048 homes in a theme I really like come available. p.s. A ranch home is available RIGHT NOW, as it happens.
  20. There are 19 regions of unreleased Vics on "Vic Island", as we've been calling it. They've been there for quite a while now. ----------------------------------------------- QFT! ------------------------------------------------- That mysterious block of 4 regions has grown another region, SSPBAW. I wouldn't assume that it actually looks like how it now appears on the map. Maybe some new type of Belli Hub? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wouldn't be at all surprised if another home style was in the works, mostly because last Friday I noticed someone working in SSP83X (usually used for home controller debug), and two people in the QA Vault region, which usually happens when a new style of home is DONE. It kinda seems to me too early for the moles to be at that stage for the new theme. I'd be surprised if it was another Fantasy home so soon; maybe a Newbrooke?
  21. Dreamer sent out this fragment of Patch's, presumably from this morning's Belisseria Citizen's Chat (Sat. Nov 4th). (In case you're wondering, Kraft is now marketing both 'mayochup' and 'mayomust', for people who find themselves incapable of mixing their mayo with other condiments. ) The only thing I was able to take away from this word salad is that a preview of SOMETHING is probably coming soonβ„’. Any other guesses? Btw: any incoherence in his statements MIGHT be explained by the fact that it looks to me like he was logged in between 4 and 5:30 AM, his time. eta: Knowing Patch, I think it would be wise to refrain from speculating as to what exactly his "Miracle Whip" might be.
  22. Premium Plus parcels (e.g. ranches) are allowed 4 breedables. I'm only responding to correct a factual inaccuracy. Generally, I try to avoid feeding trolls (which I assume is what you're doing here, since you have no interest in living in Belli).
  23. Well, it IS a little confusing that there are 2 (yes, TWO) demo areas for Bellisseria homes ... and they are very close to each other on the grid! In the one you refer to, which is the Linden Home region of the 9-region Welcome Hub island, there is an empty 2048 parcel with a "Coming Soon" sign in it. But, the region which is actually NAMED "BelliDemo", that is, the upper half of the 2-region island which is the Bellisseria Hub, does not have any empty parcels in it. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/BelliHub/107/231/21
  24. Could easily be. Though with the Christmas Expo happening so conveniently soon (Dec1-10th), it certainly would not be amazing were there to be a reveal then. Reveal regions are always fun. I know some years they've been the only reason why I've attended the Expo at all, and once I get there I always take a spin through some of the other Expo regions. If I were running the Expo, I would WANT a theme reveal there, every little boost to ACS traffic and commerce helps, I'm sure. Last year they revealed Sakura at the expo. The Ranch theme was released June 26, which I believe was actually during SL20B celebrations. SLB events are not ACS sponsors, are they? A few notes about the SSP zone: LL does have two random regions for the new theme which are not in the block of tile development: SSP4534X and SSP4532X (where someone is working right now). I've never noticed LL doing that before. One of them COULD be a reveal region. Or perhaps they're just working out some details of the landscaping. There is no current parcel in BelliDemo for a new theme, and LL would REALLY have to squeeze (as well as terraform quite a bit) to create a 2048 (or even a 1024) on the current BelliDemo land. It's probably more feasible to add more land in the north of the BelliDemo region, next to the current Ranch demo. The 2 SSP regions that became the Belli Hub are still up in the SSP area, so presumably they could just modify SSPDemo as they wish up there. [The LH area of the Welcome Hub DOES have a blank parcel for a new 2048 theme, "Coming Soon!"] At the same time that LL put up the scattered SSP fantasy regions they evidently used for treehouse model development (like SSP2532PT in the pic below), they put up a single region numbered the same as the original Newbrooke tiles, covered in black like Newbrooke, SSP3013PT. Were they considering a new Newbrooke model? I see no further movement in that direction.
