Its probably saying -1 Linden. Check your Dashboard - Account - Transaction History to see where your linden have gone. Most likely you are a member of a group that has their members paying group liabilities. And since the weekly search fee was collected today, that's probably why you saw it today. --Cinn

Download SL on my new pc when i allready have a avatar?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to annalouisa890's question in Account
Just download the viewer onto your new PC and log in as your avatar. You don't need a new avatar for every computer! --Cinn -
I can't use the marketplace, please help!
Cinnamon Lohner replied to sytaniashadow's question in Shopping
Try using a different browser. Firefox and Chrome seem to work the best with SL websites. --Cinn -
How to file a complaint against a LL employee for discrimination?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to frajal Rhapsody's question in Land
I read your post from this morning before it got removed for inappropriate content. You stated that your land was abandoned by someone in your group and you failed to notice that during the 24 hour 0L grace period and by the time you did notice it, the land was already sold to another resident. You messed up and you don't want to admit it. The person you need to deal with is the group member that abandon the property in the first place. Although I would actually go after the group owner that was stupid enough to allow other group members the ability to abandon group land. JMHO --Cinn -
my chat logs are lost ~ no AppData folder either ?? any help?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to RavenzEye Domela's question in Technical
AppData is a hidden system folder. So make sure you go into your Folders options and set system folders to be visible. Beyond that, probably best to contact the Phoenix/Firestorm support directly for help. --Cinn -
Lost owner rights on group
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Voodoo Schnyder's topic in General Discussion Forum
If the group was closed because of lack of members, then no, you cannot get it back. Nor can you create another group with the same name. You would have to create a new group with at least a small difference in its name. On the other hand, if the group has continued to exist because it still has 2 or more members including an owner, then your best solution is to get one of those people to add you back to the group. Finally, if the group still exists but without an owner, then you've got a situation thats not suppose to happen but does occur on occasion. That's where you would need to open a support ticket to get the group fixed. --Cinn -

Help with an odd situation....
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Alison Rebane's topic in General Discussion
Land "owned" in a private region does not effect land tier that is paid directly to LL on a monthly basis. There is no need to contribute land tier to a group if the land is on a private region as well. Land tier payments and group tier contributions only apply to Linden mainland. I'm going to let someone else take the object ownership question as I'm not 100% sure what would happen in your situation. I know you can sell the land with all objects, so you shouldn't loose anything. I'm just not sure how that effects the object ownership. --Cinn -
Well first, DON"T CLICK ON ANY LINKS IN THE EMAIL! Without seeing the email its hard to say if it actually came from Linden Lab. But if its asking you to click on a link to verify your account or something like that, then it could be a phishing email And it could just be a mistake. You logged in ok here, so your Special123 account is obviously not cancelled. --Cinn

How do you submit a ticket if the categories listed are related at all?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Chad Boccaccio's question in Technical
Submit the ticket to the closest category you can find. Of course, if you are a basic account, you have a very limited number of categories and most likely won't get a response. As to your real question (and not the one you put in the title) what are you trying to search? Group? Land parcel? It would help to know because some searchs like land parcel need to have Show in Search enabled and paid for (30L per week) --Cinn -
Terrain textures messed up on v3, flickering, or 1 texture showing
Cinnamon Lohner replied to mainit Hellman's question in Viewers
There were some similar problems like that caused by older ATI graphics drivers when running V3 viewers on PCs. Sorry, I don't know Macs so not sure this applies. But you might try updating your graphics drivers and see if that helps. --Cinn -
Oh wow! Good to know. I'm glad you're still with us.

Latest update is posted here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Marketplace-and-Direct-Delivery-Update/td-p/1462915 As per LL, June 1st is the earliest possible date for migration. ETA: Lindal is correct. I mis-quoted myself --Cinn

You will need to open a support ticket and probably be required to send documented proof of your age. --Cinn PS We get this one pretty often and no one actually believes your excuse. Waiting for someone to be more inventive than that! :matte-motes-nerdy:

Transactions and Chat - Doubling up
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Tequila Republic's topic in Second Life Viewer
A poorly configured wireless Ethernet will cause that problem as well. If your friend is using wireless, have them switch to a wired connection and see if it helps. --Cinn -
The built-in translator is mostly functional using the Microsoft Bing translator. It was better with the Google translator but there is now a cost associated with using the Google translator API. However, setting up a Bing account and getting a free AppID is not a simple process so I'm not sure I can recommend this approach in your situation. But you can always try it and evaluate the pros and cons yourself. The value of the built-in translator is that you don't need to pre-select the language. --Cinn

I do believe that Set Home to Here will work with the land just set to group and not deeded. After all, it is just a Parcel Power setting in the group that doesn't change anything in the Land settings. Of course, you also need a group role with the ability to Allow 'Set Home to Here' on group land. --Cinn

SL voice stopped working on my firestorm did I get hacked?
Cinnamon Lohner replied to KnightwolfX9's question in Technical
The most likely explanation for what you described is that you are having some Internet connection/bandwidth problems. That could explain why you rezz but have no voice. And then you have voice, but don't rezz. Best thing to do is troubleshoot your network. --Cinn -
The Second Life Quickstart is a good place to start. Welcome to SL! --Cinn

I want to allow members of our group to post event on the linden calendar.
Cinnamon Lohner replied to Katrina Bixby's question in Technical
http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Inworld-events/ta-p/841291 Hosting events on group-owned land To host an event on group-owned land, you must have the "event host" role in the group. You can also add this ability to an existing group role. To create an "event host" role, follow these steps: Select Communicate > My Groups. Mouse over your group name, and then click Group Profile to display details for the group. Expand the Roles section. Click the Roles tab. Click New Role to create a new role, as shown at right. 6. Enter A Role Name A Role Title (for example, "Event host") A Description (optional) 7. Under Allowed Abilities, select the Allow 'Event Hosting' on group land checkbox. 8. Click Save. Allowing others to post events for your estate Estate owners are allowed to post events on their estate by default if the estate is visible. If you would like other Residents to have the same ability, simply add them to your Allowed list in the Estate tab of the Region/Estate window.- 1 reply

I saw this problem with a version of the SL Viewer about 3 months ago. Long story short, it was my ATI drivers being out of date along with an update of the viewer that caused that same effect, like windlight was turned off. Update your graphics drivers and see if that helps your Firestorm problem as well. --Cinn
