  1. Unreceived and accidentally discarded items Has it been more than 24 hours since you ordered? If so, contact the merchant, explain what happened, and politely request redelivery of the item. If it has been less than 24 hours, please be patient and check again later. If the merchant doesn't respond, you can submit a support case requesting redelivery. Make sure to include the order number and the exact name of the undelivered item(s). Note: If an item purchased on the Marketplace using PayPal or a credit card is not successfully delivered to you, the credit or debit will not appear in your transaction history, and the merchant will have no record of the purchase. Simply try to purchase the item again. If you accidentally discard an item, contact the merchant, explain what happened, and politely request redelivery of the item. Often the merchant will understand and redeliver, especially if the item in question isn't "no-copy." Unfortunately, Marketplace deliveries, unlike items sent manually from another avatar, are completely discarded and can't be retrieved from the Trash.
  2. Yes, a co-owner can leave a group, AS LONG AS there is still another owner in the group. They leave just like anyone leaves a group. Go to My Groups, right click on the group name and select Leave. ETA: Just for further clarification. A co-owner can leave a group. But a co-owner cannot be kicked out of a group by another owner. They have to choose to leave. --Cinn
  3. Are you sure its not transparent? A while back, the viewer stop showing transparency as a checkerboard and now displays it as a flat grey when you look at the texture in the texture window. However, applied to a prim and it is transparent. --Cinn
  4. Playing Linden Realms is probably one of the more popular (and fun) ways to earn free linden. Do a search on "Linden Realms" for all the details. --Cinn
  5. Without knowing what viewer you are using, its hard to give a precise answer. The chat windows are sizable by just grabbing a corner or side and sizing it like any window. In my viewer, it remembers the window size from the last time I used the viewer. --Cinn
  6. When groups are first setup, there is an Everybody role with certain default abilities. One of those abilities is Pay Group Liabilties and Receive Group Dividends. Novice group owners are usually unaware of this setting. Then they buy land, deed it to the group and click on the Show in Search which costs 30L per week. From that moment forward, everyone in the group gets hit with part of that 30L charge once a week. The thing to do is to talk with the group owner, make them aware of the charges and if they insist on spreading the charge to everyone, either bite the bullet or leave the group. --Cinn
  7. Maybe it only counts people using the official viewer! :smileytongue: --Cinn PS Mine all read 0 as well FWIW
  8. Just so you know, there are no 1096sqm parcels. Land parcels are made up of 4x4 squares (16sqm) So you need to look for either 1088 or 1104. --Cinn
  9. The transfer of linden between parties is a 2 transaction process. The person sending the linden will see a debit transaction in their transaction history and the person receiving the linden will see a credit transaction. If you did not receive the linden and you do not have a credit transaction, then you need to contact the person sending and notify them. They can then check their transaction history for the debit transaction. If the debit transaction is there, then they can file a support ticket to LL for a Linden$ Issue. Likewise if they have no debit transaction in their transaction history then their contest object didn't work and no linden were transferred. --Cinn

    GROUPS

Creating a group Prerequisites Anyone can create a group in Second Life, but remember: It costs L$100 to create a group. Any group that has less than two members for 48 hours is automatically disbanded. When you create a group, you automatically become the group's owner. That is, you will be assigned the Owners role. Process To create a group: Choose Communicate > Groups or right-click on your avatar and choose My Groups. Click the + button then choose New Group... Enter the name of the group. The name must be at least four and less than 36 characters long. Every group name must be unique in Second Life; you won't be allowed to create a group that has the same name as an existing group. Optionally, create a group insignia (image) by clicking on the image thumbnail and then choosing a texture from your inventory. Optionally, write a brief description of the group. To make the group open (anyone can joing without an invitation) select Anyone can join. If you don't select this, then only those invited will be able to join. If you want the group to have a cost to join, select Cost to join and choose a number of L$. Select the group's maturity rating. Click Create Group and confirm your choice when prompted. After you create a group, one of the first things you will want to do is to set up roles and abilities. See Creating new roles for more information. Important: Once you create a group, you cannot change its name. So be certain of the name you choose, since you won't be able to rename it!
  11. A Linden Home has 117 prim available to you for "decorating" That number cannot be increased. You need to review the furniture and items you have used so far and find items that have a high prim count and replace them with a lower prim count item. For example if you have a chair that is 8 prim, you can easily find chairs that are only 1 or 2 prim. Do a search on things like "low prim" or "low prim furniture" for shops that specialize in those types of items. --Cinn
  12. You best contact Billing to sort this out. First, do you still have any mainland? If so, you need to abandon or sell it before you can drop your premium account. If you haven't done that, then that's most likely your problem. Otherwise a call to Billing to figure out exactly what you are being charged for and why seems like the next step. --Cinn Have billing issues? Give us a call. Note that phone support is for billing issues only. If you're having technical issues, please use technical support. Billing support phone numbers Toll-Free (US/Canada) 800.294.1067 Long-Distance 703.286.6277 The Billing team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 13. Its a bit of work to see when an avatar was last online but fairly simple. Look at their profile and find a group they are in. Join that group. You can then search for them in the group listing and it will tell you the last time they were online. Seems to me the easiest thing to do is just remove the avis you haven't had dealings with for months from your list. Unlike Facebook, the person with the most friends doesn't win anything in SL. --Cinn
  14. Well from the world map, Asia is a private estate sim with no neighbors. I cannot teleport to it either. And there is no neighboring sim to teleport to and walk into Asia. So contacting the sim owner is the first thing to do. --Cinn
  15. Goto http://my.secondlife.com Click on Settings (left side) and then the Privacy tab. From there set your desired privacy for each of the options listed. The last one is the Follow stuff. Then click on the Notifications and adjust those as desired. --Cinn
  16. Actually you are wrong. They make more money on a premium account. When you buy Linden, they only make a small transaction fee. Your Linden then goes to other residents for purchases etc. The dollars go to residents cashing out their USD credits. It keeps the SL economy alive but it doesn't line LL's pockets. If you have a problem which "only LL can fix" and which "they will only fix it if you are a premium account" and you really want the account fixed, then go premium on a monthly, get your account fixed, then downgrade back to Basic. If your account is not worth $10 to you, why have it? --Cinn
  17. The 45 days is based on when you signed up for the premium account, not when you became a member. If you have been premium for over 45 days, then you should reach out to LL via Billing or Live Chat and ask about your bonus. --Cinn
  18. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Should one of the alleged griefers file an AR using an example from the group notice, the report would/should be against the avatar that made the statement, not the group or its owner. An AR filed against a group owner for something that a group member did would likely be ignored, IMHO. --Cinn
  19. No, your Internet connection is not good. That 7.2% packet loss is the sign of a problem somewhere between you and the LL servers. Try reseting your router and modem and see if that helps. --Cinn
  20. Really? Do you have an official link from LL on this hacker problem? Or is this just a rumor you heard? What are these hackers doing to disrupt LL servers? --Cinn
  21. Be very careful here. This sounds like an email phishing scheme and not something that LL would send out. Do not click any link inside an email that claims you need to update your information! --Cinn
  22. One additional note. If you are not 18 years old or older, you will only have access to General locations. Doing an age verification will not change that. --Cinn
  23. my pet peeve as well. Lot of people tossing the hacker label around this week for some reason. :?

    PROPOSAL

You could open a support ticket but there are still a couple things you could try first. Have her check her email spam folder as proposal emails will often get flagged as spam. If she can't find it, have her log into her Dashboard and then Account - Partners. Hopefully she will be able to accept your proposal there. If that fails then a support ticket is probably the next step. --Cinn
