  3. Sounds like Firefox is not properly associated with your viewer application. In Firefox, got to Options - Options. Click on the Applications tab and then scroll down until you find secondlife. Then change the Action field to select the viewer you are using to get into SL. --Cinn
  4. hmmm...I don't see those options anywhere. In the Region/Estate - Region tab there is Block Land Show in Search. That disables the ability for the Show Place in Search option under About Land - Options tab to be used. And then there is the Show Place in Search option for each parcel of land in the region. I don't see a sim wide Show in Search option anywhere. So not sure what you are looking at. --Cinn
  5. You can't remove it but you can replace it with another texture. If you didn't build the house yourself and don't have the original texture used for the floor, you'll just have to find something as close as possible. --Cinn

  11. Have you checked to make sure you have the latest graphics drivers for your computer and that your system is capable of running SL? Updating your drivers would be a good place to start. --Cinn

  14. When you buy inworld, you don't always get a box delivered. Usually the item is just placed directly into your inventory. Most of the time it goes to the Objects folder. As long as you haven't logged out, you should see everything you purchase in your Inventory - Recent tab. --Cinn
  15. Just the price difference. The annual membership averages $6 per month where the monthly is $9.95. Other than that, they are the same. --Cinn
  16. You can always check where your linden go by looking at your Dashboard - Account - Transaction History. Its only for the past 30 days but usually you will see what happened. And most likely, you are in a group that charges its members for group liabilities. This is very common and we get multiple questions like this every week. The charges are usually very small and happen once a week on Tuesdays when LL processes the weekly Show in Search payments that people enable in their About Land window. --Cinn
  17. You are talking about the Fish Hunt game. Best thing to do is to talk one of the moderators or anyone fishing. They would be happy to help. Lots of inworld support on this one. Its very popular at the moment. --Cinn
  18. If you are talking about ediing something you are wearing like a prim attachment (hair, shoes etc) then the best thing to do is use a pose stand. These are available at just about any good shop for free and will hold your avatar in the edit appearence pose while you adjust attachments. --Cinn
  19. You may have a webcam that is also functioning as your microphone and it is turning on because you have voice enabled in your viewer. If you are not using SL voice, try turning it off and see if that fixes the webcam issue. --Cinn
  20. The Lost and Found folder receives objects that for some reason were returned to your inventory by someone else. So, for example, if you had rented space and got kicked out for not paying your rent, any of your objects left would have been returned to you by the land owner. On returns like that, many will be coaleased (combined) objects. Without knowing what error you got when you tried to rezz them, its hard to guess the problem. Could be that you tried to rezz them in a location where they overlapped other property. Or could be that they contain Linden plants. The error will be different when you try to rezz. --Cinn
  21. There is something known as the alpha glitch. This is when two objects that are textured with a transparent alpha texture line up in such a way that the object in back appears to overlap the object in front. In your case, there may be another wall with windows beyond yours or perhaps a tree or plant just on the other side of your windows. At certain angles, your windows may seem to disappear as the viewer attempts to resolve which alpha texture to render. --Cinn

  24. You can always email the site owner and ask for a removal of the information based on copyright infringement. Make the email formal without making threats. The kind of letter a good lawyer might write. --Cinn
