  1. In reply to your edit. Estate managers automatically override most sim settings like no fly and sight-to-sight teleport. I don't believe its a group setting. I would recommend networked teleporters for your management group unless you want to give them all Estate manager privs (which I would NOT recommend) --Cinn
  2. To the Island of Misfit Residents......... Just kidding. Their name goes on a list you have in your People window and as long as their name is there, you cannot hear them. --Cinn
  3. You should probably start by talking to your neighbor and asking them if they can turn off the smoke or adjust it so that it disappears before it gets over the property line. --Cinn
  4. Me - Preferences - General tab Check Group titles under Name tags and make sure Name tags in On --Cinn
  5. First of all, Linden is not going to do anything because what you describe is a potential resident dispute and they do not get involved unless there is a TOS violation. So how you deal with this is up to you. If it were me, I would tell the sim owner I was leaving, let them keep anything I built that is full perm and didn't really cost me anything except the time to build it and tell them what items I would be taking that are not copyable. Then I would deal with a ban issue if it occurred. I like to trust people to do the right thing. Maybe that makes me naive but that's how I would approach it. --Cinn
  6. What you paid for is land tier for Linden mainland. You now need to go out and buy the land. Most people buy the land first and then pay for the necessary tier. If you have purchased a sim, you own a private region and not mainland. You do not need to pay land tier through the land manager as you already pay a monthly fee to own a private region. You cannot make your private sim any larger than it already is. The only thing you can do is buy another sim and have it placed next to the one you already own. --Cinn
  7. The number of items in your inventory can cause some lag issues but not the prim counts of those items. You are not actually carrying around all those prims. You are carrying around an inventory list that points to those items on the inventory servers. So just checking your inventory item count is all you need to do. Now the prims and scripts that you are wearing can have a much greater impact on lag. To check your script count go to World - About Land and click on the Script Info button in the General tab window. Then click on My Avatar. That will tell you how many scripts you are carrying around and what server memory they require to run. Your "draw weight" tells you how much impact your avatar is having on the viewers ability to render you. You can turn that on at Advanced - Performance Tools - Show Draw Weight. The numbers are colored green, yellow and red which indicates good, marginal and poor rendering. Removing high prim count items like prim hair will lower the draw weight number. --Cinn
  8. What do you mean by trace? Second Life is like anything else on the Internet. When you connect to one of the sim servers, it knows your IP address. Otherwise it couldn't communication back to you. So if that's what you mean by trace then the answer is yes. --Cinn
  9. It has to be accepted by the person you are partnering first. Did they get the email? --Cinn
  10. hmmmm double-back tape maybe? Very odd. Usually when you rezz an object in world and then put it into a particular position, it stays there. The only exception to that that I'm aware of are objects checked as physical. Those objects interact with the sim physics engine. Usually they fall to the ground based on sim(ulated) gravity. I've never played with a physical object that floats but I suppose that's possible?? And way, check your lamps and vases and tables to make sure they are not set to physical. You will find that in the Edit - Object tab. Beyond that I can't think of a reason for your lamps to float. :smileyfrustrated: --Cinn
  11. No nude beach :smileysad: But we have donuts on Monday and beer bash on Friday. The rest of the week we shop for shoes! :smileyvery-happy: --Cinn
  12. Yes you can report a blocked person. Just file an AR under the appropiate catagory and choose the name using the choose button to pull up the Choose Resident dialog. BTW sending a griefer a note that you are going to report them is just throwing fuel on the fire. Block and then ignore completely. Posting the rant that was sent you here in the forum was also a mistake and seems to indicate you really just want to create drama and not deal with your griefer problem properly. Block and ignore. That includes talking about this person with your friends or in the forums. It really is the best way to deal with situations like this. --Cinn
  13. Linden Homes are being abandoned and made available all the time. Sometimes a model will be unavailable but usually only for a short time until more open up. Just keep checking from time to time for one to become available. BTW your paid subscription provides you a whole lot more value than just a Linden Home. In fact, as far as I'm concerned the Linden Home is the least valuable part. But just my humble opinion. --Cinn
  14. You didn't say which viewer you are using. If by chance you are using Phoenix or Firestorm, try turning off and removing the LSL Bridge. This has caused some strangeness like this for others although usually they heard the music all the time until they removed the bridge. --Cinn
  15. Billing is the correct department to contact about money issues. BTW did you sell the lindens AND process credit on your USD account? 17. Billing has a number in UK. Not sure that's what you need since you didn't say why you need to call LL. But here you go. --Cinn Have billing issues? Give us a call. Note that phone support is for billing issues only. If you're having technical issues, please use technical support. 18. You can AR for fraud but I doubt that it will do you any good. LL does not get involved in resident disputes like this since they cannot validate what promises were or were not made or broken. BTW did you talk with the owner? Seems like the first step you should have taken. --Cinn
  19. @Innula. Yes, not sure what their game is. Could be a competitor ploy or could be a slavery rant. Either way its obviously a setup.
  20. Assuming the video references SL and promotes a TOS violation, send the url to security@secondlife.com via email. Let them deal with it. --Cinn
  21. too funny. So why do you still have a slave auction group in your picks? Same one that Tarasha has. Funny how the two of you have so much in common. Except of course, she is less than a week old. She provided a nice setup for your slave rant. And its just yours and her's first posts here. WOW what a coincidence!
  22. We probably could help you better if we knew exactly what error message you are receiving when you try to log in. Use the Options - Edit to add additional information to your post. Creating another post will only confuse things. --Cinn
  23. Most likely the Intel HD Graphics is your problem. Intel has never worked well with SL. Check your frame rate by doing a Shift - Ctrl 1 and pulling up the Statistics window. I suspect you will find yourself running around 5 frames per sec (fps) which makes everything look laggy. --Cinn
  24. Check this KB article for your answers: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Account-credentials/ta-p/700017 --Cinn
