  1. That only makes my job harder! Person suspected of doing the banning did not have the group privs necessary to ban someone. Please don't tell me there are security devices that can override group privs
  2. Perhaps I'll keep this question active in hopes someone knows.
  3. No it was a land parcel ban. Appeared in the About Land/Access tab
  4. I just ran into an interesting ban problem that I've never seen before.  Someone was ban from group property but it was a timed ban.  So when I looked at the ban list, the person's name had a timer next to it counting down.  I've never seen an option to ban someone for a specific period of time. Any ideas how this was done? TIA -Cinn

This should REALLY be investigated and corrected by the Lab. mmm, odd. I also use Firefox and I have not had to log into SL Blogs now for weeks. I have the crash problem that sounds similar to yours. FireFox will crash when opening the edit window java app, particularly if I've been online for awhile. Once I restart it, its fine (and I don't have to log in after the restart so the cookie seems to work for me) Since I tend to push my computer to the limit with open windows I assume some type of memory leak problem. I keep promising myself I'll try to tweak FireFox to try to fix the problem but never get around to it. And I will admit it IS annoying. Sometimes I just don't bother posting because I know I will have to restart all my FireFox sessions.
  6. When you log into the SL Blogs, select Remember Me. Worked for me for both SL Blogs and Commerce Forums. Only double login now for me is the Shopping (Xstreet) login
  7. First you need to get the pictures inworld. File/Upload/Images from the menu will do that for you. However it also costs 10L to upload the image. And of course you need to choose a compatible image format like png, tga or jpg Once you have the image inworld, then it's just a matter of transferring the image object to your new friend. Hope that helps!
  8. Just another note about online status. People can choose to hide their online status to the general public by choosing Only my friends and groups can see when I'm online. in Preferences. Then they can choose on a friend by friend basis who can see them online and who cannot using the selection in the Contacts tab under Communicate. But they cannot block the group from seeing if they are online. So if you share a common group with a friend and you think they are hiding their online status from you, check the Group Info to see if they are actually online. That's the sneaky way to check. The less sneaky way to check is to send them an IM. If they are offline, you will get a "Second Life: User not online - message will be stored and delivered later." message. -Cinn
  9. Ok I'm confused. If you have the product why do you need to rezz it to prove you have it? Is this a product with a promised lifetime upgrade policy?
