Isn't LL based on San Francisco time? I think I heard that. So 1 hour 40 minutes to wait?

So is it the 9th now? I am in a totally different timezone. Or is is the 20th December it starts? I am so attached to my Lake head, no other head has replaced it for me, free or full price. I have tried on demos for every single head, and it has not swayed me... I got the Lilith head for 50% off in the Black Friday sale, because horns!! I find the Lilith head without the horns and a human skin nice... I like it more than previous Lelutka heads. But can it replace Lake? Maybe I take it out and wear it once in a while. All my alts wear free Lelutka heads. 🥰

Reborn is 2 years old. All fantasy outfits from before that time include Maitreya Lara (At least 99%). I can not remember that Hourglass was still popular. I think it was a size creators dropped, one by one. Freya sizes was still included for many creators. A few was Legacy only, but it was more who had Lara only. I like to buy old Gacha second hand for a more special look. I have to use Lara for it. Reborn clothes has the benefit that they are newly made. That does not necessary mean quality. Some use template mesh and retexture them sloppily. But if one will start over and buy everything new, Reborn can be the right one for them. If they love their shape with Reborn, it is enough clothes, nails, rings, body jewelry and shoes to select from. I think Reborn is going to stay popular. It is always going to be people who want curves. It is not my kind of style, LaraX is more than enough curves for me. I hope it will pick up speed. It is room for it as an in-between body for those who want a bit more than thin, but not the Reborn curves.

Wings, pick up their 2 free hair group gifts for women. One of them is a messy updo. Lovely long hairs. Can be in the weekend sales Stealthic hair can be in weekend sales. Truth has been in the weekend sales often. Lots of different styles. No Match too. No match has a room full of group gifts, but some of them is old. The group is only 50L to join, so it is worth it if you see a hairstyle you like. It is always some face skins in the weekend sales. You have to buy the body skin, but that is cheap, a few hundred L. Maitreya Lara comes with many Velour skins. Most creators who make face skins is matching them to the body skins from Velour or Not Found. The EVO X template for face skins is what sells now. It is very different from the old face template you are used to. You have to buy skin, makeup and hairbases again. It is better quality, so I don't mind. And with your big budget, you will collect makeup fast. Especially since makeup is in the weekend sales too. Weekend sales has made my inventory explode. I have bought much more than I need "because it is cheap". Now I try to look at it twice and think: "Do I not have lots of just that makeup style alredy". Look for 50L Friday, Wanderlust weekend, The Saturday sale and Happy Weekend. Wanderlust weekend has much more fantasy items than the other sales. Take a look at Toksik: I adore that store. It wasn't a Black Friday sale, so I hope for a Christmas sale, then I can go crazy and buy the whole store. It has Reborn sizes in their newer items, but make sure you demo before you buy. This store also credit other things like hair in their images. You get hair inspiration there as well. Other stores: Random Matter, Aisling + Voluptas Virtualis, Just Because (Gowns!!! It is a lot of fantasy historical outfits, Victorian, princess gowns, elf clothing, tavern wench, warrior princess style etc etc clothing made only for Maitreya Lara Classic version up to 5.3. Reborn is a good replacement for Slink Hourglass. Reborn is rising fast in popularity and has a lot of fantasy clothes in newer releases from creators. Reborn has plenty clothes in fantasy anime, goth, Lolita etc etc style. Some of the styles can work as historical looks too, like long sleeved frilly bouses. Some of these creators is only making for Reborn and maybe Reborn+Legacy. Reborn has addons like Waifu, Juicy rolls and more for push-up and squeezy garters. I do not use Reborn and I do not want to be so curvy. I can not say anything more about those add-ons. A week before Black Friday, Maitreya made a remake of Lara that is more smooth and has better shoulders, slimmer waist etc. This body is LaraX and clothing made for Lara Classic does not fit without using alpha cuts and alpha layers. You are used to alpha cuts, and the new LaraX has more alpha cuts than Lara Classic, so that should be okay. LaraX has very different shoulders and upper back, down to the shoulderblades. This makes straps over the shoulders, lace over the shoulders, around the neck and upper back hard to use. Solid fabric on the back is usually not a problem. Very little is made for LaraX so far, and we are not sure if it will take over for Lara Classic. People who prefer to be slim use Lara. But LaraX can give you a curvy look. Here is an example from another thread: Maitreya will sell only the new LaraX from now, but Lara Classic is included, you have to wear a HUD in the folder and click to get the old classic delivery. Then there is Legacy, that body is number 3 in popularity. Many who want curves use this. Pick up demos for these three bodies; Maitreya, Reborn and Legacy, see how you can shape them. Ooooh, I did not buy those expensive Swallow ears in the Black Friday sale. It was only 20% off. Now I can get gauged ears for 1L! The stores in 2022 big event had set their groups to free, for as long as the event lasted.

I wished that they had an option for Lara Classic and LaraX, the board only had Maitreya. I was wearing LaraX and looked for that option, I had to vote "Maitreya" instead. It is smart of stores to do this. They should do this more often. Know your customers. Numbers of mesh bodies counted by bots is one thing, who you get in your store is another thing. Keep your customers. Of course it can be smart to test with other bodies, to see if you get some of those as customers too. The stores I don't like, sometimes release things I want, but then they have only Reborn, Waifu, Juicy rolls and all the other things that is 'in' now... But I can't expect creators to include Maitreya, just for the occasional Maitreya customer. Better use their time on the majority of customers. But I was sad when some steampunk clothes wasn't rigged for Maitreya. I have to look for another store then. It is, after all, plenty of stores in SL. The majority of LaraX clothes on the Marketplace does not interest me. I'm waiting and hoping for more. If my favorites is released as rigged for LaraX, I am buying it again.

I was in a store recently that had a big board in the store. Vote for the body you use. This was interesting since Maitreya had such a huge lead over Reborn. In mesh body statistics by bots, it is closer. So it depends where people shop. I do not use squishy and pushy stuff, like Waifu, Juicy and all that. Or bikinis that look like dental floss. That store who had 6000 votes for Maitreya and 2000 for Reborn, should absolutely make both 5.3 and LaraX sizes, to keep Maitreya diehards as customers. I do not think many Waifu and Juicy rolls lovers will use LaraX. But 5.3 users will gradually change to LaraX. No, when stores like Erratic, COCO and ISON rig for LaraX, it will be a great time to shop. (I bought the first pack of ISON sweaters)

I do not even have time for SL now, I only look for good offers in Seraphimsl and log in to shop and pay rent. I will only buy things with LaraX included. Unless they can be used with LaraX, and I really want it. I mostly bought capes, cloaks and such stuff for Black Friday. And some special costumes that fit with an alpha layer.

I was very interested in Black Friday, I even made a thread about it. But it was nothing for LaraX in the stores I went to. The first LaraX stuff I saw in Fameshed and Santa Inc. All at full prices. Santa Inc opened Dec 1st. So it wasn't possible to 'get a wardrobe' for LaraX in the Black Friday sales. I am not surprised that few have changed to LaraX. How many people know about it, how many that got a redelivery, how many tried it on and do not wear it because they have only 5.3 clothes, or because they did not like the changes. Many possibilities. It is some for LaraX in the weekend sales already, I shopped from Meva and some other places. People will find out and be curious whan they see LaraX included when they shop.

The Picasso Babe skin must be Porcelain, it says SLIM/ICY. This is why it start to redden above the collarbone. Porcelain is a warmer tone than Icy.

It's late in my part of the world, and I am going to bed, but I am wondering: Is it a way to kill autohide in 5.3 clothing? 99,99% of clothes is no modify, so the script can not be ripped out. But is it a script we can wear attached in an invisible prim, that reset the alpha cuts and set all to visible when we wear 5.3 clothes? I know I can open the HUD and toggle all alpha cuts, but it would be neat if this happened "by itself".

I tried on a set of prosthetic legs, and they still fit to LaraX. They end mid thigh. A lot of my Azoury foorwear go only to the ankle or to the knee, that will not be a problem at all. (I bought the Happy Weekend boots for LaraX) 😁

I'm not interested in Harry Potter roleplay, but without the robe, this is a good schoolgirl outfit. The tie comes in 4 different colors, it is no house badge on the sweater, only on the robe. Comes with different alpha layers and a Hud for badges, ties, socks on/off. When I saw this came in separate parts, I had to buy it. I can use the parts with other clothes. The pleated skirt fit with many sweaters. The socks can be turned off, and I have wished to buy shoes like this a long time!! So for me, it was worth buying for the shoes alone. It's a demo. I was really disappointed with this choker from Orsini Jewelry. It had no demo, but I had shopped in the store before. It is rigged, and the fit for LaraX and Lara is bad, worse for LaraX. I tried the other sizes, to see if it was named wrong. I can maybe use the Reborn size, it is a tiny clipping compared to this.

Now that LaraX hits the weekend sales, my inventory will be filled up quickly enough for a low cost. 😁 It is much the same as with Lelutka EvoX. I was very "Noooo, I have so much makeup and hairbases, I can never change to EvoX". And then EvoX was everywhere, and in sales too.

Brabos has some skins that's not suuuper pretty. With the add-ons from Izzie's and salt'n pepper beard, I managed to get a look I'm happy with. Mature, but not so old that he looks ancient. The skin under was on sale last weekend. I bought it after testing with layers.

I have not seen much I will buy so far... but if my favorite creators update older stuff, I will buy it.

I bought the Lilith head from Lelutka. I almost forgot that one. I have not bought a head there since I bought Lake. And that is a long time ago. I am so happy with Lake, all other heads I have demo'ed did not interest me, but I could not resist the horns. Finally I could pay back some, as a thank you for all my alts free heads. And without the horns and a human skin, Lilith is really pretty. I think I get a totally different skin to wear with it. Different from the fair skinned European look. Maybe an asian skin. I really went over the top and shopped in Raven bell and Random Matter, since Aisling did not have a sale. Jewelry, hoods, a cloak and hats. If Contraption was in the sale.... wow, it would have been some hat shopping there. I checked Fakeicon's store every day... I hope it is a Christmas sale instead. Same for Toksik. I can make some fantasy looks now, when I have time.

I didn't buy as much for myself as I thought - because I did not know that LaraX has different alpha cuts, so all 5.3 clothes need new alpha layers or cuts. It is too much hassle. And some stores I really wished had a sale, did not have a sale. I dropped stores that had only 20% off, and stores that had only fatpack sales. But I got some big jewelry, a crown, a fan, multiple cloaks, hoods and hats. And some special clothes that fitted LaraX better than most, and 2 hairs. I have so much hair already, and new releases look similar to hairs I already have. I sent a couple male alts over to Deadwool so the poor darlings got a fine suit each. And a bit casual clothes shopping for the guys as well. I shopped enough, I think.

You are sure that you are wearing your mesh body? You did not take it off? Do you know how to take a snapshot of your avatar and "Save to my computer"? It is more easy to help you if we can see what is going on. Click on the T-shirt icon and then "Wearing". Take off unecessary items so you are sure all you are wearing show up. Sometimes I have on so many layers and attachments that I have to scroll up and down in the "Wearing" window. Click the camera icon and then "Show interface". Find "Save to disc". In Firestorm, you have to click on "Selection" first. Take your picture. Find it in your computer. If you know how to crop it in a program like Paint 3D, you can crop off the line that show location and other things. (I did it) Or find a pencil tool and paint over it.
