  1. Have you checked that you wear the Lelutka eyes that comes with the head? They are an object and have a box symbol, not eyes symbol. Nothing on the HUD will work unless you wear the eyes. Without the Lelutka eyes, the default eyes roll too high up in the head, sit too deep, and does not look good. If the eyes have "weird angles", I wonder if this is the problem. If you have bought eyes that are BoM, 👁️👁️, you still need to wear the Lelutka eyes. You activate BoM in the head HUD under the eyes tab. Click the eye icon to the left on the HUD, and the "Bakes on mesh" text box over the different eye colors you can choose if you do not wish to use BoM.
  2. 💓 Yes! That neck is perfect, 100% what I tried to describe. Thank you so much. I looked at the store's photo stream, and they made a Maitreya size of this before they made Reborn! 😍 Super happy that you found it for me, and so fast. 💓💓
  3. I am not sure about the term "bedazzled", but it looks like glittering small gemstones that start under the chin, goes down the neck and spread out a bit down the chest. It is probably a tattoo using materials, so it appear to be glued on gemstones. Or rigged mesh perhaps. But I would guess it is a tattoo. Have you seen this in SL? Where can I get it?
  4. You can use a skin that is not made for the new UV layer. I used Pink Fuel's "Harley" skin for a while, on an alt. They cost only 150 L per skintone, here is the demos: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PF-Harley-DEMOS/5160048 This way you can keep the default head, and still enjoy all the benefits of a mesh body. And you do not have to learn all things at once, for both body and head. Older skin made before we got mesh bodies, has drawn on fingernails and toenails, and this will look bad on the mesh fingers and feet. But Pink Fuel is still in Second Life, and in their mainstore is a pack with free (or 1 L) feet and hands fix that you add (NOT wear) and they cover the ugliness and is a 100% match to Pink Fuel skins. (Edit): This is if you activate BOM on the Maitreya HUD. It is best, because you will not have a neck seam, the skin on the system head and the body will be the same. Another thing, it is a month until Black Friday. And it will be sales. Maybe as much as 50% off. You can save much on expensive things, like heads.
  5. I wanted to add a closer one. The poses and props is really good.
  6. Sometimes makeup do not use the tattoo layer. I do not remember what name the ear layer are using. Universal layer?? Any way, I spent a long time looking at what I was wearing in the appearance window. I was going over and removing all the tattoo layers. I had no tattoo makeup? Why was I still wearing eyeshadow? Then, I saw a layer in addition to the ears layer. Lo and behold, it was the makeup. Since then, I have seen a few others also using this rare kind of layers. Perhaps you are wearing an universal layer with makeup?
  7. I think I am somewhere in between Barbie and RL. Like comics, where the figures often are 8 to 9 heads tall, instead of 6 to seven heads tall. I was a comic addict when I grew up. Still love comics. My ideal shape would be close to Queen Aleta from Prince Valiant. While realistic for a comic strip, she is still quite idealized. My avatar shape always look different in animations. I think it is nearly impossible to use SL animations and keep rigid to RL human proportions. I must nudge shoulders, arms and other parts. Especially after Bento hands was introduced. The worst work was when I posed with a male alt. I spent so much time with both shapes, to have hands placed correct on each other. I did not overwrite the ordinary shapes, and that was good. They looked strange when they stepped off the poseballs.
  8. Maybe I am smoking too much? It is the pose packs fault......
  9. Thanks! I have to say a thing more: Even if I always talk about Maitreya and Lelutka, it is many more options. If one want a curvy shape, Maitreya might not be ideal. Demo demo demo. Ask questions. The forum is here for that. Unless the budget is very big, it is expensive to buy another body because you regret buying the first one. Same with heads.
  10. I have seen one new skin made for Jamie, it is Jean from Alaskametro. And it looks good, if that is the look a female avatar is aiming for. But that's about it, no darker skin, asian skin etc. Alaskametro also has a shape with stylecard, so Jamie can be styled from bleh to yes. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/alaskametro3-Jean-shape-NUX-avatar-Senra-Jamie/25098260 But if Jamie is going to be used only while waiting to buy another avatar, it is a waste of money to outfit her. Not that the skin is expensive in any way. We still have no idea about the budget the OP has. So I will stop suggesting more, until I know if the budget is 50 L, 10 000 L or higher.
  11. It is only a matter of preference if I drag from one window to another or right-click and delete, I have done both. After that, I found out what feels faster for me. Select and right-click and delete is not failproof either, if it is a risk to delete too much. It is that I have to go into every single folder and do it, that I feel is unecessary. Can we not have the opinion, to show all we search for in a separate window, so it can be deleted in one go? Like I said, filter for scripts named unpacker. And not only to delete, but to sort in new folders. I search the name of a store or a product. Like Kraftwork or boots - all found by that search come up in a separate window, and I can make a folder of them directly, without going folder by folder, item by item. It would be so much faster to create new folders. All the worlds tips and tricks does not change that it takes time. It is boring, it suck up my time. To delete 1000 notecards I have to do the same action 1000 times. To make more folders/subfolders, yeah, great idea! I do it tomorrow... I work hard on it two hours and I have just done a little bit. And you know what's the worst? I do this already. I have many folders and subfolders in them. I have folders for furniture and subfolders for each store in that folder, I have other subfolders for the boxes it came in, just in case I must rez a new item. Same with accessories, boots, shoes, makeup, hair, bodyparts I don't use but will not throw away. I delete thousands of items seveal times, every year. If I did not, I bet I would have had a million now. I am not joking. I t is so slow and tedious the way it works. Every time I have worked on my inventory, I get so frustrated. Perhaps Firestorm developers can make more options for the inventory?
  12. I suspect that employees in LL never think of Second Life as fun, just as a job. They have one outfit they wear at work inworld, and never need to make folders, throw out heaps of notecards, or look for a gown they bought in 2018.
  13. Maybe it all the disconnects was just a coincidence for me. Strange that it happended two days in a row.
  14. I remember only one special location I got disconnected and had Maitreya on. It was when I visited Calas Galadahon Park, Shadowfell II. I had read about it and went there with high graphics, shadows on, and I noticed I was walking slowly, in jerks, and was disconnected after a while. I can not remember other places where this slow walk and jerks happened in a very, very long time. It has not happened since I bought this laptop. In addition to the rare times I try to take pictures over png 5000 x 5000. My graphics or memory or what's in my Asus ROG can handle 5000 x 5000, but that's the limit. It was recommended it as a good budget machine, but not fantastic. With Maitreya, I could have Second Life on and other operations playing in the background, like Microsoft Edge and Firefox, Word, Krita and Paint 3 D, all the same time. I could have two avatars logged in, to take pictures together. I was not disconnected. Unless the rare time that it happened once in a while, not several times in a session. Sorry for asking a stupid question, but what does a crash look like? Is my screen going black, blue or is it a different message? I am only familar with the grey screen, the disconnect. I try to remember if I was disconnected during teleports. It happened some times, but mostly not.
  15. I can only say what I experience. It does not mean that others experience it. I can not claim the I know it all. I get a grey screen with "You have been logged out of Second Life". And the option to view IM and chat, or quit. A few rare times before my viewer has crashed when I take pictures with big size. More than 5000 x 5000, and I freeze. I can take so big pictures, but not over that. The only thing that changed was the body. I have not added parts besides the usual apparel I wear, I have been using hairs, clothes and jewelry from the same creators as I have done before. The complexity was way under 80 000 with Legacy, so it should not be high. I think the highest number was 65 000. After I had set the body to BoM, I turned off Media. I do not use Media and Voice. I have been inworld a lot lately and used Maitreya, because I have posted many pictures to Flickr. I have changed outfits, hairs, visited events and stores, I have been logged in several hours without grey screen and the message "You have been logged out of Second Life". No problems. I have the same internet connection, cable and 5G.
  16. I hope the LaraX will have the same low complexity. As we briefly talked about new bodies, I decided to give my Legacy Perky a spin. And I crash with it when I leave my sky platform. With Maitreya, I can go from store to store and busy events, and crash once in a while. Maybe onde a week or once a month. For 2 days with Legacy, I have crashed both days, sometimes two-three times a day. I will not buy a new laptop, I have one with a dedicated graphics card, CPU and good memory. It can always be better, but it is not lowest of the low with integrated graphics card. So bye for now, Legacy. We can not work together. I am hoping LaraX will work as well for me as Lara.
  17. The Senra avatar will give you a lot of hard work trying to find other content than the included ones. It is almost not exsisting. What is your budget? If it is low, yes, use Senra Jamie until Black Friday. It is just a month+ and I am sure the popular bodies, skins, hairs and heads will have a sale. You can manage with the Library stuff for Senra Jamie. If you are like me and prefer to read tutorials (I do not like videos) the male blogger Skell Dagger has some of the best ones. https://virtualbloke.com/tutorials I suggest you start with this, it is a long read. But it cover the questions you have. https://virtualbloke.com/archives/3711 Then read all the "Bakes On Mesh" tutorials. The terminology and glossary is the same. The tutorials are a bit old, so "What is Omega?" is not worth reading. When you have done your reading, pick up demos and follow Skells instructions. They work the same as the full priced heads and bodies. Skin/makeup stores that sell things "Omega" is outdated, unless there is BOM in the packs too. Look for BOM or Bakes on Mesh in the ads. The main head store that rules Second Life now is Lelutka. Look for head skin and makeup ads marked with with Lelutka EvoX or just EvoX. The female bodies is mainly Maitreya for the slimmer look and Reborn for curves. Legacy Female is also actual, but it has some issues, mainly that it has high complexity and a more difficult HUD. It is also more bodies, of course. We have been spoiled with free Lelutka heads for Christmas three years, or is it four? We can not expect this generosity to continue evey year. The free heads mean that all avatars who is at least 1 years old have a Lelutka head, so all the brands make content for Lelutka. Last Christnas we got not only the heads, but a lot of other stores participated to give away gifts, several skins, eyes, jewelry.... We can not take it for granted, we are lucky that the creators are generous.
  18. I have changed my look. New skin, new eyes, blond hair and last, but very important, new eyebrows. The lower brows really make a difference. The brow shaper is the same. Before: After:
  19. I feel that it is a never ending battle to keep under 100 000. And now I am over that number again, despite deleting over 1000 items yesterday. I come to SL to have fun and spend my leisure money. That means my inventory grows and grows. I have too much, but that is what LL want, is it not? You need us to shop. If we never buy new things, what then with the SL economy? It is such a tedious work. To delete unpacker scripts, I have to filter on scripts and go in every folder and drag the scripts to the trash in another inventory window. It goes faster if I type in the first letters like "unp", the folders open up. I still have to do it one by one. It is a risk that I drag too much over to trash. A typical folder can contain landmark, landmark to satelite store, unpacker script, thank-you notecard and a texture of the item. Of this, only the texture of the item is worth keeping. And all the "read me" notecards. Maybe one in 1000 contain useful information. And it can be more than one notecard. It can be one "thank-you", one "how to tint" and one "Copyright". It can be an additional texture with the store logo. It can be a "hold" animation. And numerous mesh body versions that I have to delete. I have NO idea how to make a new inventory system. I am not technically capable to say how it should be done. All I know is that I have to go in every single folder and get rid of junk, unless it builds up. Is it not possible to get a new inventory window that can show all the things I filter? So all can be deleted in one swap? When typing in names like "Unpack" "Thank you" "Kupra" "Slink" "GenX". All in one inventory window. It should be easier ways to store stuff I want to keep. As it is now, I have to box it up. Why not have several inventories if we want? So we do not have to load it all. It should be possible to open our inventory outside Second Life!
  20. Hehe, not so strange. It's many sizes of hair, and the bangs is one. Imagine those hairs with three different boob sizes and 3 different head sizes. To see how much that is sold of one hair, we have to sum up all sizes. Wait and see, from the Weekend sales start and the following days, you can see new items trend. Especially hairs if that have been on sale. It is lots of older versions of the bodies listed. Some even use the old versions of Maitreya with separate hands.
  21. I have been looking at the BonnieBots list over attachments. https://www.bonniebots.com/attachments They do not have any stats about trending, just what is avatars wearing right now.
