  1. I opened a ticket today. That navy is just too dark... and, well, navy. Ick.
  2. Can I please, please, please start the neighborhood brothel?? I've always wanted to be a madam! It'll be SUPER classy, I promise! 😝
  3. What we've learned today is that Bellisserians are much like any normal dysfunctional family. We can fight among ourselves, but we'll come together when anyone attacks the family... lol!
  4. Geez... what sort of things do you say about things you actually do hate??
  5. Really? Bland, souless, ugly, unappealing, oversized garden sheds, uninteresting, unnatural, boring... I believe you used all those words. "Bellisseria: Literally everything there preplanned and prebuilt by LL and their Moles. You are merely a tenant in their bland, soulless, prebuilt, regimented, corporate gated-community/continent, where individuality and creativity isn't allowed. The houses are all wooden US style houses, which to my English tastes and perspective are ugly, unappealing and look like oversized garden sheds. The "houseboats" are not actually houseboats, they are "Float Houses", which are basically houses built on rafts or pontoons. Real houseboats are actually boats/ships with houses built into or on them. They can be sailed and moved around with their sails or engine. Bellisseria's streets are all too perfectly straight, they look the same in every region, and are built on an uninteresting and unnatural grid system, which makes for a very boring drive in straight lines punctuated with right angled turns. The regions all look like each other. There are no defining unique landmarks, no shops. No sandboxes for creativity. Welcome to your ready-made virtual world where you will never need to create anything! (Which is totally against the "virtual world created by its users" LL mantra.) Ugh!"
  6. Finally, the post that unites us all... Granted, it's united in disgust, but still! Progress! Thanks, Sarah, for bringing us all together!
  7. I just changed to the Windlass yesterday and I freaking HATE that navy color. I will be very upset if the update doesn't include the texture change option for those walls. It doesn't make any sense to not make that changeable as well.
  8. Could you post a link to that, please? I would love to have one as well! Thank you!
  9. Damn... that's a good point. People suck sometimes.
  10. Oh, I'm familiar with this particular little weasel. I've had the... pleasure... of being in his vicinity once or twice. You know what? That's an insult to cute little weasels. He's just a 💩.
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHA... now you see my cunning plan to make everyone be nice... We all let the inner wolf out occasionally... I do, anyway, at least 17-18 times a day.
  12. Might be nice if there were some planned events (picnics, etc.) where LL could allow rez rights for a couple of hours and then shut it back down after the event, maybe?
  13. And that is all good and fine... for you, because that would be the way you prefer it. Others would complain. Someone is always going to complain, and that's my entire point. There is no one way that everyone is going to think is fair and equitable. Also, I'm hardly an SL camper. I had never used these forums before I got my boat. I just happened to have my FB SL pulled up when the first batch was released and saw something on my feed. I had no idea there would be a huge demand. Hell, I had no idea LL was even creating new homes, much less knew there was an entirely new continent being built. I just thought a houseboat sounded cool and I never really used my Linden Home so I clicked a button. I was working from home, logged in, packed up all the stuff in my old Linden Home, went to the website, clicked once, and got a boat. It was pure dumb luck, not as a result of any camping. It's all just dumb luck.
  14. I don't know you... but I really, really, really, really hope you get your home soon. You have been so kind and patient and you deserve for that to be rewarded. You seem to be a genuinely awesome person.
  15. It's still first come, first serve, though. There IS advance notice before the houses are released. It's not a long notice because they are releasing them as soon as they're ready instead of holding off and making people wait even longer. Let's say they open a waiting list. In 5 minutes, 10,000 avatars sign up. The next week, 1,000 new houses or boats are released. The first 1,000 names get them, right? Does that mean the people already in houses/boats that might want to switch cannot? Or do they go back on the waiting list? Let's say they sign up on the waiting list because they want to switch and they are in that 1st thousand names... so they get a new one, right? And they're old one is released so you have an empty house/boat. So you select name 1,001, but he doesn't want a boat and it's a boat. Is he then stuck with a boat and has to put his name back on the list again and go back to the bottom? Then you have another dude that signed up on the list when everyone else did, because there will be a rush to sign up for that, too. This guy is 9,999 on the list. He's been a premium member since 2004. Why should he have to wait for everyone else to get one before he's even able to attempt it? Or the brand new premium member who sees the shiny new houses and boats (subject to availability, which, as I understand, still hasn't been added to the wording and I absolutely agree that it should)... the brand new person has to wait as well? Because everyone else is already on the list. People are still going to be angry not matter what they do. There is no one perfect way to do this. The way they've decided to do it really is the simplest. "Here's a batch of houses/boats... go for it. Those that didn't get one, try next time. We'll keep trying and adding more until everyone has what they want, and we don't end up with a bunch of houses no one wants because everyone wants boats, or vice versa." Caveat - LL needs to send emails when they are released. They also need to have an inworld popup of some sort so people either see it in their mailbox or as soon as they log in for the people who don't check the forums, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., etc.
  16. Okay, so let's say they open up a waiting list... Isn't that still first come, first serve?? How is it really any different? Someone is still going to get left out and complain because the list opened up at an unfair time, or they signed up 0.2342355 seconds after the list opened and they're STILL 12,000th on the list. I'm not sure how this would help anything.
  17. The problem with just derendering it is that it gives them permission to keep it up, which gives someone else permission to do something else, maybe stretching the realm of acceptable a little further, and then someone else, and someone else, and BOOM, next thing you know it looks like the mainland instead of a community.
  18. Aren't any modifications supposed to fit within the general aesthetic of the neighborhood? If I lived next to that, I'd be less than pleased. I think it's going a bit further than some of the others have done with their cute little tea houses and pubs... and that amazing arcade.
  19. Sure, throw down a few more Squishy Pickles to ease up on the demand... as long as they pick them back up again as the continent is built out according to plan. Otherwise we're going to have a big empty continent when demand dies down surrounded by pickles. I like pickles. Pickles are delicious. But... I like LL's original plan for Bellisseria better. Would people be willing to move into a pickle boat knowing that they will have to move when more houses/boats are available according to the original plan?
