I get almost all of it from Seraphim. They'll have blog posts that show the different sales, with landmarks where you can find the items. You don't need to join the store groups, just go to the blog on the weekend and see what's there.

Since I figured out how to work with full perm mesh myself, I've gotten pickier about buying template clothes for sure. Want me to buy the fatpack just to turn the sash blue? Fine, I'll give Meli Imako my money and turn it blue myself.

That's what I did when I picked up Legacy on sale--massive redelivering spree, didn't really need to buy a lot right away. I've been demoing the Gen X bodies, and right now I don't think the Classic is different enough from Freya to make the switch right away, though I suspect it will be the final death knell of anything new being made for Freya. Still, my older clothes aren't going away, and I have more than enough bodies (lol) and can wait for a sale.

Legacy is pricier and laggier but looks better nekkid (IMO), and can go curvier without looking weird (but can also be slimmer). Maitreya is cheaper and there are more clothes and add-ons for it. Vista has good AOs. My current one is from RVN and I'm mostly happy with it.

Yeah, a friend of mine got Geralt and looked great, but I had a huge ordeal just trying to buy him a t-shirt, and then the next time I saw him, he was Gianni-jacked. He looked more realistic before, but I don't blame him for wanting to be able to find clothes.

Usually when this happens to me, I have my account set to charge the wrong card, and I've got one in there that's expired or doesn't have money on it.

I joined after the Lilly giveaway and am salty that I happened to fall in love with it and had to pay full price. Lol! Mostly kidding, I'm really happy with it overall.

Amacci has a box of free BOM hairbases on Marketplace; they're nothing dramatic in style, but they're unisex and include a lot of colors.

My nearest and dearest would say beds, but I'd say medieval gowns. I don't wear medieval gowns anywhere! The only RP place I hang out in is 1950s! But I could outfit all six wives of Henry VIII for years.

I have a male alt who is a satyr, which I put together as an NPC for an event I didn't end up doing (at least as of yet). The idea was that I'd run him off my smaller PC while being myself on my main one. I spent some time running around as him at Fantasy Faire, where he didn't stick out like a sore thumb at all, which was fun. It was a way to kind of be "off duty" occasionally since I was a Herald on my main.

Go to DeeTalez. They had a set of wet-look EvoX eyeshadows out as their group gift recently. I can't promise they're still there, but if they are, they're exactly what you want.

This is probably 90% of my redelivering. Yes, I know I could eliminate the problem by never deleting sizes, but my inventory would be an order of magnitude more unwieldy if it was stuffed full of items for 10 bodies I don't wear.

You might even be able to just redeliver the one you have.

Your head HUD has HD makeup options that you can try (you have to remove them again with the HUD). And then some skins do come with a little bit of makeup. I want to say my Deetalez skins have come with a tintable lipstick and eyeliner that can be added. Beyond that, if you have your head on the regular Evo setting, you can find inexpensive makeup on MP, and if you wear it on EvoX, keep an eye on the weekend sales. EvoX makeup is really popular and there's usually some to be had each weekend for under 100L.

Yeah, I like this about Maitreya, as well as the moddable version of Freya once I optimized it. I joined SL just after BOM really caught on, so pretty much have never used appliers or had any desire to, except the occasional HD makeup. So the onion layers were useless to me and it's nice to not have them adding to my complexity. I prefer BOM alphas for most things, but it's handy to be able to use the alpha cuts when I just don't have any BOM one that works for the outfit.

Once in a while, I buy a clothing item that is old and has only one Belleza size in the box, and it's just labeled "Belleza," and it'll turn out to not fit my Freya--it's a Venus size, from long enough ago that Venus was the only Belleza body! Whereas if the item's newer and only has one Belleza size, it will almost certainly be Freya.

You know, that's very possible. Recently I couldn't figure out how an acquaintance of mine got her <insert body part> so much bigger than I was able to get it on the same body. Tried all the sliders. No dice. Finally realized she's just shorter.

I know someone who has a similar look and uses Deetalez Beth, though you'd have to experiment with skintones and makeup colors to get it just right.

You may also be trying to apply an EvoX hairbase to a non-EvoX head or vice versa. If it's making weird patches on your face instead of just not showing up, that's what's happening. What head are you using?
