If you've got two linked meshes, put the script that changes one of the face 0's in the mesh it's part of, and put the script that changes the other face 0 in the other mesh. You'll have to name the meshes different things to make it work.

I don't mind stores that sell single colors; I only mind what people were talking about above: for example, the ad shows a cute dress with a contrasting belt, because it looks way better with a contrasting belt, but when you demo, you can't tell if the belt is changeable on the single version. So you buy the single version and it looks worse than the ad because it's all the same color. I'm willing to buy the fatpack to change that belt if I like the item enough, but just actually tell me! Some stores have fine print on the ad that tells you what changes on the single; some include the single hud in the demo. Both are fine.

Belle Epoque is releasing some new stuff in Reborn now. Just have to check the ads/demos because older stuff is not. They've got a hunt on right now too for 10L each item.

Yes, their new head skins have a neck fade. I had thought my Glam Affair Fair head skin just matched my Velour Icy body skin really well by coincidence, until one time I was trying on a more tan body skin and saw the Fair neck fade still all over my neck and decolletage. No wonder I didn't have a neck line!

Good point! I really only have a human male alt to model things I'm making for men. He actually started as a satyr, which would be an NPC of sorts for an event that didn't pan out, and doubled as a convenient way to wander around Fantasy Faire anonymously, but I worked him up as a human later for fashion purposes.

I have one of the Ruths on an alt, and it fits enough Maitreya stuff that I'm not sure creators really need to design for it specifically. (There's also the argument that if someone is looking for completely free, they're mostly looking for freebie clothes too instead of buying, which--considering this is an alt I rarely use--is fair in my case.)

This is a very good point. 2000L is kind of the upper edge of my "eh, I'm willing to piss that away" range. It's about $10 RL USD and I'm usually willing to shell that out if I really like something and haven't been overspending lately. 5000 is more in the range of "sit and think about it for a month or more" and often decide against it. The only things I've spent that much on are my head and horses.

It comes with the body. It's called "BOM Add-On Parts" and has a HUD where you can toggle which sections you want to smooth. You just have to remember to take it off when you're done with the BOM outfit because it'll make your mesh clothes not fit right. 😄

I don't shop "newest only" but I do recognize designs that have been around a while. Doesn't mean I won't still buy them if I like them, but it's nice to get some fresher stuff sometimes.

And one thing I've noticed while buying full perm mesh is that literally everything includes Maitreya. Old stuff, new stuff, Maitreya's in everything. I've also thought about making some of my own things cheaper when they're for the older bodies, and it's not because I think Maitreya users won't buy both things; it's because I think there's a smaller market out there for the Belleza/Slink/fitmesh sizes than for the Legacy/Kupra/Reborn sizes. Or just because the item itself looks more dated, because, well, it's old.

I don't think Breathe and Blueberry putting Maitreya stuff on weekend sales means they're not selling! (And neither is exclusively Maitreya. I own a bunch of Breathe shoes that have Freya and Legacy and I forget what else because I delete the sizes I don't wear. Same with Blueberry clothes.) Weekend sales drum up enthusiasm and get people into your store, and while they're there, sometimes they buy other stuff. Or they decide they like the sale item and go back for more. It's not necessarily a desperation move.

The ones from RVN have a little movement but not a lot. I actually just switched from mine as my regular AO because I wanted more movement and found a new one I liked at Vista, but I still put on the RVN to try on clothes because its stillness is an advantage for that.

My male alt just got a major glow up with the Quinn. My female one got a lot of new clothes over Halloween--I was sick of looking at the same makeup and outfits every time I needed to log her in, so I took her to Shop & Hop and decided it was time for her goth phase. She's on Sweet's Ruth and had the Genus Strong, but I just got her the Raven and am still working on what I want the shape to be like.

And a lot of times the paid heads on top of the list are the ones that have been free, like Lelutka Lilly. It was a Xmas gift I think two years ago, which surely boosted its numbers.

I have Sweet's Ruth on an alt, and yeah, it's a free body. It fits-ish a lot of Maitreya clothes.

Mine sometimes looks like it's melting when I've just logged in and am not fully rezzed yet.
