  1. if I was a US citizen then I would move to Alaska. Then get busy and and find about 50,000 people who think the same as me to move there as well. Be able to turn Alaska into a blue state (2 US Senators and 1 US House Representative) with 50,000 New Alaskans
  2. if it was 2007 again then I would make it myself when I was 15 years younger and much more full of beans.I don't tho have the inclination these days to do customer support anymore. is a pretty straight-foward scripting exercise tho. Could even be done so is AvSitter notecard menu compatible which would suit quite a few people. Maybe some one with scripting beans will come by read this and go oooo! and make it
  3. this conversation may have found a space in the marketplace for an enterprising creator. Make a auto-positioning sit anywhere on anything couples hud
  4. another way is with a couple's hud. You sit, partner sits (on anything). Hud script gets the sit position and rotation of both avatars, then plays the couples animations automagically correcting for the position offsets not sure if there is any commercial hud that does this already. Is tho a fairly trivial addition to an existing couples animation script for a scripter who is into making couple huds and/or sitters
  5. he looked after the 3,000 or so startup employees who built Facebook from nothing. When the company went public those employees share options pool was worth a combined $23billion
  6. i misread the OP, unlike somebody named Prof who never. i like the poem tho
  7. if both parcels are owned by the same account then we can join the parcels into one parcel (which can be done even when the parcels are not adjoining). In this case then being one parcel the Restrict Sounds will work as wanted
  8. is all relative yes. The Linden Improvement viewer 6.6.x which is what I am using gives me about a 15% boost overall in raw rendering (FPS) over the previous viewers on my 1050Ti graphics card at 2K screen resolution this is me at Fameshed landing point with ALM Shadows. 18 about
  9. for public PG snuggling can get a vehicle with those poses in it. Park up somewhere and have a PG cuddle up can make a picnic blanket that can move like a vehicle. Rez on nearest rez zone, Sit. Motor to a fav spot on the beach and here we are. Just don't stand up and we are good
  10. about raw rendering ALM vs No ALM. It depends on our computer. This is mine (with me by myself) with ALM On with ALM Off so I go with the ALM as 60+ is pretty ok for me edit add: for completeness. ALM with Shadows. 40 something which is still pretty ok for me personally
  11. a way to help ameliorate this is Debug Setting: ClothingLoadingDelay by default is set to 10 seconds, which is not enough time for us with slower internet i set mine to 180 seconds (3 minutes) which means clouds for a lot longer but when they turn into avatars then pretty much most times their body parts are all together even in really busy places. Sometimes takes a bit longer for everyone to get their textures, but at least they are not bits of body all over the screen
  12. i would have thought so as well. Maybe Phil will come along and consider putting in his orb if he hasn't already the way OP has their land set up is that most of the region is public access. Then there is a parcel which is set to a group, which is only for group members. I never looked closely at the current land configuration but am assuming OP wants a third parcel for themselves also yes agree that the script is trivial. For anyone interested in making their own script to access the group parcel then avatar needs to be wearing the group tag when not wearing the group tag then avatar added to the parcel ban list if not already on it when wearing the group tag then check the parcel ban list. If on the ban list then remove from ban list have to maintain a first-in first-out list of avatars in the script which mirrors the parcel ban list. When the list is full (300 max) then remove the first-in avatar, adding the most recent note. When we add an avatar to the parcel banlist who is present on the parcel then the Linden system gives them 15 seconds to leave before they are ejected from the parcel. The system ejects the avatar, it doesn't send them home, so we need to factor this in to our script. There has to a parcel to which they can be ejected (a safe zone). If there isn't then the avatar will still be on the region, at X = 0, Y = 0, Z = terrain level
  13. i had a look. About Land parcel restriction to group only applies up to the height of the banline box. Above the ban line box then anyone can enter which is how SL has always worked. When I am on the ground then this, banline when I am above the banline box I can move/fly onto the parcel (which is how SL always workd) and I get security orb telling me to leave ps. am not sure why your landlord told you that Deed to Group was what you needed to do, it wasn't as it doesn't do what you were told pps. for completeness if you want to make another parcel just for yourself then cut it out from the main parcel, keep it in your own name, keep the build below the top of the banline box Then untick all Access,: No Anyone, No group. Then if you want, add your firiends/invitees by name to the Always allowed list
  14. are you the listed in About Land as the owner of the parcel ? ps. I can come and have a look if you like
  15. this should work as you understand it, as each parcel even if you own them all in your own name, is for access and all other parcel options, individual to each parcel. The only thing shared between parcels with same owner is prims. Try to test the access with your own alt account a thing. The only people other than those you specifically allow yourself, who are not affected by parcel access restrictions are the estate owner/officers. A estate owner cannot be banned/denied access to any parcel in their estate
  16. The Object Entry Wall cut a 4 meter strip round the edge of our parcel. Set the strip to Object Entry = Yes and Auto return = 1. Set the inner parcel to Object Entry = No. Set auto return on the inner parcel as we prefer any object attempting to move onto our parcel will be stopped by the inner parcel and auto returned immediately is not always necessary this. Is only when some doofus is on a neghbouring parcel where they can rez and is trying to shoot us on our parcel. If we don't make a wall and only set our parcel to No Object Entry then if the neighbouring parcel is set to Auto-return = 0 then the villain's stuff can pile up on the neighbour parcel which we cant do anything about
  17. when the flags are mounted parallel to the parcel boundary then yes we can't return them as the flapping is a client side effect. However you should be able to Abuse Report them, as an encroachment onto your parcel. Category: Land > Encroachment > Objects or Textures. As the effect on your parcel is the same as particles drifting over a neighbouring parcel the neighbour should at the very least move the flags back from the boundary so that flags don't flap (drift) over your parcel. Just moving them back tho, may or may not be your preference, but is their choice to make
  18. consider what is a centrist ? a way to think about an answer to this question a centrist is a person who endeavours to do the best they can to provide for themselves and their dependents. And to do the best they can to empower those less fortunate than themselves to do the same this tenet doesn't move, no matter how many people fall on each side. It remains the centrist belief what moves is the number of people on the line of empowering those less fortunate than themselves. The further to the left, the more empowerment we give to those less fortunate than us. The further to the right, the less empowerment we give to those less fortunate than us for example: workplace economics. The more we pay our workers relative to what we pay ourselves, the more to the left of this centrist ideal we are. Conversely the less we pay our workers relative to what we pay ourselves the more to the right we are another example: democracy. The more we empower others to vote, the more to the left we are. The less we empower others to vote, the more to the right we are when someone says to me that I am raving looney lefty then I understand that they mean relative to themselves. Which people who put themselves at the center of the universe do, they relate everything to themselves. And I treat what they say with this understanding. Knowing that I am still in the same position relative to the centrist ideal
  19. is always eye-rolling when people draw these kinds of diagrams to present themselves as victims the actual diagram where E is Elon L - - - | E - - R L - - - - - - | - E - - - - R victim blaming tool. Put yourself at the center of the universe and move everybody else to support your narrative
  20. yes. The owner has to pay the rent and expenses and make a profit just like any other business the big difference is that with skill games the owner is never gambling themselves, unlike a casino owner. There is zero risk for the skill game operator on a point that OP raised: "I lose when at that time, next to me, a person wins 10 times in a row, and I don't get to the right amount at all, as if someone is deliberately interfening with me" that lucky person is one of two things. 1) they are a new player to the game, Game operators (of all design) let new players win. This encourages the new players to keep on sticking money in the machine or 2) they are a shill. A shill (often a bot) which gives the impression that if I (shill) can win heaps then so can you. Winning shills give the impression that is possible to win heaps, which encourages people to stick more money into the machine
  21. this is my understanding of how this goes from what Antares has said since, this is most likely happening on the starter Welcome Island (or possibly the starter Social Island). Should the villain do this more than one time on these islands, flagged by separate Abuse Reports, then the villain can expect a Friendly Greetings from Governance telling them to cut it out. A friendly greetings which the villain can ignore at their own peril avatar bumping/pushing goes under Assault: Shooting, pushing or shoving another Resident in a Safe Area starter Welcome Islands and starter Social Islands are the safest of Safe Areas when we get bumped/pushed/shot/shoved on private owned land (which by definition are not Safe Areas) then is seen as an interpersonal dispute. The resident victim is expected to raise the matter with the private land owner. The land owner may or may not ban the villain from their land as the owner chooses
