  1. Que mocking of those upset of something they've considered part of their SL experience for years. Money I throw into SL is already out of my pocket. What I chose or choose to do with it for my own enjoyment shouldn't be of concern to anyone. I think people should be upset and it should be expected as it's what we do in game for enjoyment.
  2. That's what I see as well. Higher prices. I rarely spend more on a gacha outfit set than people do on fatpacks with less features and options.
  3. I am not sure where you shop for gacha but they're usually far better quality than your typical fatpacks sold for a premium.
  4. It isnt just that. I find myself spending less on a full gacha sets compared to fatpacks which are generally around 2500L and only have solids as options. The ones i myself typically just check price and continue walking on by. At least the gacha for the most part show far more effort on the side of the designer/creator.
  5. why do i get the sense those are sold by our old fishing buddy.
  6. I mean let's be honest SL is doing this NOT because of US laws.
  7. This happened to me as well. I rez'd it to see if i wanted to keep it or sell it and it turned copy/no trans on me lol.
  8. Would it be possible for gacha to be available on skill gaming sims since no devil resembles gambling far more so than most gachas in SL do. At least with gacha you are receiving an item of value regardless of if it is the item you desire. Who's to say that item isn't worth the 50, 75 or 100L you spent? Seems odd that one is allowed while the other isn't. No Devil is not a game of skill and is in fact a game of chance since you can play as skilled as possible and still not make the threshold of "winning". It still requires chance to actually win no matter the skill.
  9. Oof real shame. I really enjoyed gachas and cherish the rares I get. However I see the reasoning having been burned by a few times with scripted extremely low odds of getting the rares. Rule probably saved me an equal amount of heartache and joy.
  10. Awe, I use BD I can see your pants.... If I wanted to... oof. didnt realize it was a necro...
  11. I was just stating that no one goes into any battle carrying an ignorance guidon. That's not saying the reasons they are there to begin with are not because of ignorance.
  12. Re-read and maybe try again if you don't understand the point? " but certainly not for the cause of ignorance." somehow you took this as "caused by" instead of "cause of" I am guessing?
  13. There are viewers that exploit SL's export DAE function which is only intended for items that you created however these viewers allow you to export nearly anything rezzed in world. So creators do have legitimate concerns on protecting their content. However, as previously said, setting no mod no copy and what not doesn't do anything. If anything it encourages people who do want to mod your things to copybot them in order to do so and not necessarily do it in order to resell it as their own. How SL cannot detect someone downloading in some cases rather large files off their servers is a bit beyond me but I am no techie or anything. Closing the export DAE function probably solves a lot of copybot issues. I don't use this function so I couldn't say how useful it is for others.
  14. I went to Ashville, NC last summer. It's a picturesque little city on the Tennessee side of NC. The drive there through the Smokies was amazing. I nearly ended up staying there.
  15. I can assure you. Nobody died for ignorance. Due to ignorance possibly but certainly not for the cause of ignorance.
  16. What exactly do you think those plants get their energy from? The energy bunny?
  17. The regulation doesn’t affect high end pc’s just the cheaply made commercial brands. Made mostly of cheap parts designed to break down after a few years forcing you to buy another one.
  18. It doesn't seem to be the gaming ones bitcoin miners use that's being regulated. Looks to be the cheaply made, Dell "gaming" ones that are.
  19. I usually buy my pre-builts from newegg (3 since 2004). I'm not seeing any of them in there mentioning that they cannot be shipped in CA. Even the ones with older generation vid cards like 1050s. Seems all if not most actual gaming computers fall into whatever this new requirement is.
  20. I don't see this being an issue in a few years as vid cards are becoming more and more efficient in terms of energy use. Bitcoin miners are a double edged sword. Yes they make the cost of vid cards higher but they also caused makers to make them more efficient. The current generation is nearly twice (?) as energy efficient as the previous one. They're just expensive AF and hard to find even if you could afford one. Edit: After watching the vid, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue at all anyways.

  22. I guess you missed the part that it was a question. I thought it was an interesting question. Granted his reasoning for the question was flawed judging by others results. I was just pointing out your “why ask why”. Why not ask? I’m afraid to do my own search. If I had to guess my results would be gay aliens on a space ship half way to Mars making out to Jeff Goldblum DJ’ing dubstep in the background.
  23. I love these sort of statements. I guess we are to pretend that "righties" aren't also so easily offended and don't go into a tizzy at the mere topic of race nor scurry for their "Not Woke and Proud" shirts at the mere mention of anything Black. I think we can do better as a society at live and let live when people stop with divisive comments and dropping in their dog whistle statements.
  24. That's essentially what the OP is asking but not how is it, but is it or is it contributing. What is Gamora? Who is Gamora? Why is Gamora?
  25. This would be impossible since humans would have to program it.
