  1. Vendors do that with fatpacks as well. That's not only a gacha occurrence. I'd say a pretty hefty % of vendors use premade mesh. Which is why I often question the originality of the ones that are just solids. Essentially one texture edited in photoshop with variations of color layers. The mesh is so nice why would they slack off on texturing it? Probably because they didn't make it. At least that's my perception. And to the vendors defense: A lot of them have to start off this way in order to be "established" enough to get the rig for the major bodies to make their own clothing.
  2. I don't understand the angst towards people who enjoyed gacha. Not all of us are gambling addicts and just played for the fun of it. If there was an event I would buy x amount of lindens depending on what the event was. That number wouldn't change whether there were gachas there or not. If there happened to be a gacha there and I liked the items I would play the gacha with said x amount of lindens and continue shopping the event til all the L's I intended on spending are gone or until there's nothing else I like at the event. Gacha wasn't just a gambling fix. I'd sometimes play with a friend or 2 and we'd make trades and socialize while playing. It was fun and I'm kind of sad to see it go. And to be honest I found a lot of the gachas had more variance and were more intricate than most of the fatpacks offered at the same events which cost a flat rate around the same as what I'd typically spend on a gacha. If this wasn't the case and I was spending more on gacha than I would normally then I probably wouldn't have played it as much as I did.
  3. It doesn't? Except as set forth above or in any Additional Terms, purchases of Linden Content (including but not limited to Usage Subscriptions, Virtual Tender, and/or other Virtual Goods and Services) are final, non-refundable
  4. Purchases of account credits and credits due to gift codes or other promotional account credits are nonrefundable, and may not be processed as a payment to you. Maybe they mean something other than lindens when they use the terms "account credits" or "virtual tender".
  5. Yes but I also sited this as well. Where SL clearly states purchases of lindens are non-refundable. Whatever happened in some court case that seems to have been settled out of court (which means no precedent can be made from it which is why I wonder why people settle things out of court) it didn't seem to change their non-refundable policy. The process credit policy has been in place since 2011. This current TOS has been in effect since 2017.
  6. Yes that is what I was linking. At least this is better than advising people to buy 100k L for the purpose of proving me wrong. Hint hint, I'd probably remove that. There's also SL's TOS. 4.4 Linden Lab has no obligation to accept returns or provide refunds of any amounts paid for products or services purchased from Linden Lab. Except as set forth above or in any Additional Terms, purchases of Linden Content (including but not limited to Usage Subscriptions, Virtual Tender, and/or other Virtual Goods and Services) are final, non-refundable, have no monetary value (i.e. are not a cash account or equivalent) and are purchases of only a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-assignable, personal, and non-transferable license to use content Inworld, even if they come with a durational term (e.g. a monthly subscription). https://www.lindenlab.com/tos
  7. Yes we'll see how it turns out. I don't see how this would function at an event as more people would want to play it and I can just see sniping going on all day. I was fine with gacha the way it was. It could have been more regulated in requiring vendors to list the odds so people knew what they were getting into. Otherwise the only way to find out was the hard way which obviously left a lot of sour feelings.
  8. No, I was referred to their process credit tos. Which I have linked a couple times.
  9. Patch already said this was approved. I'd dig it up but it's a few pages back.
  10. Now process the credit and let us know what they tell you in 2 or 3 days.
  11. The tricky part is having tilla send that back to your paypal. That's the part I was denied at.
  12. Not according to Bae Linden. "Purchases of account credits and credits due to gift codes or other promotional account credits are nonrefundable, and may not be processed as a payment to you." There's also this in the linden TOS.
  13. What does purchasing account credits (aka Lindens) have to do with your dollar balance? My initial statement was lindens you buy have no value and cannot be converted back to real money. The only lindens that can are net lindens. Lindens you earned through selling whatever it is people do in SL to make more lindens. As stated above. "Purchases of account credits and credits due to gift codes or other promotional account credits are nonrefundable, and may not be processed as a payment to you. " And I am not pulling this out of some hat for the sake of argument. I actually have experience with this. I bought lindens then 3 days later I no longer wanted them and tried to convert them back. It was denied after the process period and I was referred to the very post I linked as to why I was denied. This was in 2017.
  14. What about the part I posted from Bae Linden? My initial post was on-topic. I just thought you were curious why I haven't been corrected yet.
  15. That's great. You explained some factual (yet irrelevant) information about how you cannot deposit usd directly into tilia but haven't explained this little line in bold. Net proceeds from your sale(s) of Linden Dollars remain as a credit on your Tilia account. This credit is automatically applied to your Second Life account fees as described here. If you do not want to apply your Linden Dollar sales proceeds to your account fees, you may process this portion of your account credit as a payment to you. You may only process credit due from net proceeds from sales of Linden Dollars. And in the same TOS you referenced it also says this. You acknowledge that Virtual Tokens are not real currency or any type of financial instrument (e.g., your Virtual Tokens are not a store of value or medium of exchange) and are not redeemable for any sum of money from Tilia or a Provider at any time. Tilia makes no guarantee as to the nature, quality, or value of the features of, or content on, a Platform that will be accessible through your use of Virtual Tokens, or the availability or supply of Virtual Tokens. Then there's also this from SL directly. Process credit (withdrawal) Net proceeds from your sales of Linden Dollars remain as credit on your Second Life account, and this credit is automatically applied to your account fees as described above. If you do not wish to apply your Linden Dollar sales proceeds to your fees, you may withdraw this portion of your account credit through a real-world credit process. (See Process Credit) Note that you may only process credit due to net proceeds from sales of Linden Dollars. Purchases of account credits and credits due to gift codes or other promotional account credits are nonrefundable, and may not be processed as a payment to you.
  16. Explain how you get a net proceed with a minus anything let alone fees. This should be interesting math.
  17. What is your definition of a net proceed? If I buy something then sell it back for the same price. Is that a net proceed? If i buy $5 worth of lindens and sell it for 7$, and now have a tilia balance of $7. I can only withdraw the 2 dollars and not hte initial 5 that I spent.
  18. Any linden you buy is through lindex. Any linden you sell is through lindex. If you have a net difference between what you have ever bought and what you have ever sold you can withdraw that difference. If lindens had an actual monetary value that would put them into an entirely different business bracket. They would be much more heavily scrutinized such as a bank would and gacha would be the least of their concerns.
  19. You have to sell L's in order to convert them to cash. So of course it applies to LindeX sales. Selling Ls gives you a cash balance on Tilia. You can withdraw whatever is net. The rest you can only buy more Ls with.
  20. Hi Qie. I am just going by what's on their process credit page. I've been denied the ability to withdraw a portion of L's i've bought in the past when I realized I had bought more than I needed. I was referred to this as well. I'm sure there's a reason no one has corrected me yet.
  21. And this is incorrect. Lindens have no monetary value. It's in their on TOS. Any lindens you buy have zero value. Only net lindens you gain can be converted to real money. This is also in their TOS.
  22. I get what you are saying but if it were gambling in a legal sense it would be legal since the countries that ban it allow gambling including online gambling. I think it's more to do with the fact countries haven't figured out how to regulate loot boxes and until they do they'll remain illegal.
  23. True. However this isn't a gambling issue. This is a regulatory issue. Gambling is legal in nearly all the countries that ban loot boxes and gacha. And the forms that are legal are far worse than any habits one may form playing SL's version of gacha.
  24. Plus 100 per pop when most are in the 50-75 range. Seems the gacha was one of the high ones with bad odds that people end up complaining about. 47 rolls and no rare? Those are the types to avoid. Unfortunately since gacha was never required to list odds no one had a way of telling if it was a sketchy machine or not. Hopefully the buyer was happy with what they got and was able to recoup some of their losses.
  25. HA. I actually like the animesh stuff. I hope it ends up with us having flowing hair like we used to have with flexi. Or I guess still do but hardly anyone uses it.
