The workload is intensive for them. I know this cos' my gf makes me sit in a boat watching them shes fascinated by it all. That's why the new homes are a little .. ahem ... scarce, its not deliberate .... idleness ... it takes hours and hours and hours to prep it right. I too hope the mainland gets a good tidy up but it could take some time yet.

I'm a DJ and know for a fact being a good host is the hardest of the two jobs, never missing an arrival and making folk feel relaxed and welcome can be a tough call, concentration intensive. Here's something that may or may not rekindle your interest in building. Build your object in prims, right click it >More > More >Save> as collada. Point the save to your desktop and you will see a shiny new .dae file. Upload this file into sl with Build>upload>mesh item and upload the collada file. Bingo ! There's your build in mesh ! woohoo ! Heres my mesh funnel made using the technique.

Hang on in there. The moles are frantically beavering away prepping more homes and houseboats. We saw a mole hovering in the sky working away as we did a sail along the river where the houseboats end and the moorings for more are being built. I must say the quality of the build of Bellyissimo is absolutely exceptional, and well worth a visit.

We took a sail along to the edge of the houseboats and can confirm the moles are sweating buckets prepping land for more houseboats and more homes ! I must say Bellissaria is proving to be a phenomenal success story for LL and for residents, and I am really pleased about that. I don't care how strong the rules and regulations are, keeping it looking fantastic is all that matters imho. Don't forget skyboxes are permitted above 2000m as well for those seeking a bit more .. ahem .. privacy. Mines barely visible from the outside ... I miss the universities. Mostly because they were fantastic for squatting in the sky above the campuses, with prim allowances of like 15,000 or more still left to play with. It was awesomes. These days I'm premium so it's not the end of the world.
